Terrible packaging- nice panties
I was trying to find the best "waterproof" panties for my 3 1/2 year old to use at night. We couldn't continue to use diapers or pull-ups because it was disrupting her daytime potty training. I knew these wouldn't keep her dry. That's ok with me- I figure it will slow down the leaking but help her learn when to wake up to go. I ended up buying a couple different kinds. My daughter is 40 inches tall and 34 pounds (tall and skinny).Luvable Friends 3 pack training pants- white- size 5- The packaging on these was horrible. They were wrapped in a sticker that peeled into hundreds of pieces. I will say that there was no sign of the sticker on them after they went through the wash. These panties feel like cotton on the inside and out. They have stretch to them and are easy for her to pull them off and on. These are cut like boy shorts and look a lot like boys underwear. Great price and works as well as the prettier kinds.Carter's girls training pack- 4t- They look the most like regular panties. These panties feel like cotton on the inside and out (no plastic or vinyl on the outside). These have an elastic waist and are easy for her to pull them off and on. I was worried with the 4t size that they would be small but they are a great fit (and will be for a while).Potty Patty- 2 in 1 waterproof PUL training pant- medium 29-34 pants. I can't really review. I could get them on her but she said she wasn't comfortable and wanted to take them off. The waist doesn't really have any stretch.Imse Vimse training pants- 28-37lbs- These feel like the outside is more water resistant than cotton (the inside feels like cotton). They are super cute and look like regular panties- just thicker.Bottom line- it doesn't matter what brand she's wearing. She wakes up wet in all of them (panties, pants, bed, etc). They do slow down the leaking (what I was looking for). So, buy the ones that fit your budget best. I also use a mattress protector under the sheets and a separate waterproof protector over the sheets. That way, I don't have to wash all of the linens when she has an accident. We went from an accident every night to 1 every 7-10 days so it seems to be working.

Works Well for Almost Fully Potty-Trained Little Ones
I bought these training pants for my 3-year-old daughter because they are a bit thicker than "regular" panties. The overall size was mostly as expected. However, the leg openings are a bit tight (as others have described in previous reviews), so you have to be careful with the ordering. I sized up to 4s instead of 3s in anticipation of tight leg openings, and if I hadn't, my daughter would not have been able to fit them, and she is fairly thin. What I love about the training pants though is the thickness; it helped my daughter learn to "hold it" better than regular panties (for whatever reasons). She has never had an accident with them, which I cannot say for thinner underpants!

Best of this type
We bought a set of these for our then 2.5 year old about six months ago, and she received a couple of other (big name) brands as Christmas gifts about that same time. All three brands were in size 2T. These ones fit fairly well from day 1, while the others were a bit big at the waist and legs. Lo and behold, six months later, the Luvable Friends panties still fit comfortably, while both of the other brands are very tight and leave red marks on her legs. (She is still wearing mostly 2T in pants and skirts.) The other brands don't have any give in the fabric casing the elastic and never did fit her properly. My daughter always chooses these panties to wear when she gets a choice. (My favourite training pants are a pair we were given that have a waterproof outer layer, but they are considerably more expensive than the cotton variety.) For this type of toddler underwear, the luvable friends are hard to beat. I plan to buy more in the next size up.

Good Underwear!!
I was looking for the older brand of twenty years ago lol training pants so I ordered this brand. Of course time has changed and so has the underwear. They are not as thick in the front at the older type and they are not as thick on the side. The ones from back when the sides you were not able to see the skin but these you can but is not a lot. I might not have noticed if I did not have some of the back when underwear. In all of that, it works as it is better than not having the underwear. They are true to size and once you get it home and wash it, they shrink. They arrive larger and shrink to the perfect size. I say they are true to size as I guess they are true to size for my 4 year old angel. His pant size is in between a 3t and 4t so we bought him the 4t. Despite its shortcomings, I ordered three more sets.

Cheap Option
My daughter is potty training, so I bought these so that I do not have to keep taking on and off diapers (which, if disposables, they lose their grip and the inside becomes lumpy). I have also put a cloth diaper cover over these if we are out-and-about to ensure no messes in public. The elastic is extremely tight around the waist and loose on the legs, but they are cheap and if an accident happens, they rinse and dry quickly, without holding smells. And, unlike a lot of cloth diapers, you can wash them with whatever detergent you want :) Gerber brand is better...Hanna Andersson is the BEST.

Chunky thighs beware:)
Size 3TWe have a 2 year old and a three year old. Our 2 year old is tall with chunky thighs and our 3 year old is tall and thin. For our 2 year old (chunky thighs) we have to stretch the leg holes quite a bit in order for him to wear the undies. With our 3 year old (thin) the undies are initially a bit tight, but stretch with his natural movement. The picture shown when we made our selection from Amazon was of blue patterned undies. We received a pack of white undies. The fabric of the undies is SUPER soft and thick. After two washes now the undies are still like new. Most of all, our boys look forward to wearing them:).
