Are there clear directions for calibration? What weights would I need to calibrate the scale? I hope to weigh fractions of a gram.

Scales come already factory calibrated. To recalibrate it, press and hold MODE key. LCD flashes 'CAL' and then '200.00'.* Place 200 g standard calibration weight, wait 3-4 seconds till LCD displays 'PASS' and '200.00'. Put away calibration weight, press ON/OFF key to turn off the scale. The calibration is finished. *NOTE. We supply currently scales that require 200g standard calibration weight.

Does the scale have an auto off feature? If so can it be disabled?

It depends on power supply. If powered by USB or AC/DC adapter, it does not have auto off feature. If powered by batteries, it has an auto off feature and con not be disabled.

What do you do if it does not pass calibation?

First time use: remove the protective pads under the weighing pan and the protective film on it. If loading weight is not stable or you abort calibration, the scale will show ‘Err’ and automatically turns off.
