Organize It All Dual Compartment Step-On Recycling Bin Trash Can, 16-Gallon, Silver, Black

I love this - in fact, I just bought my 2nd one. The first lasted 5 years. Great quality! I shopped around a lot this time to see if there were any others - and this still looks like the best. The good: the large size, the narrow and streamlined look, fits almost anywhere, the containers that hold the trash can be used without bags, and it's very sturdy. After 5 years I still had zero dents- even with 2 young boys running around my house. I get so many compliments on it. The bad: if you want to use trash bags (I do for trash, not recycle) - you have to get the method down for it to fit perfectly because the can is a little small for a standard bag and will pull up at one end if not secured when you put the interior can in. My trick is to put it on (over the handle), pull it down 1/3 of the way down the can, then pull one of the ties to secure, then twist that end until it's really tight (do not knot). Then when it drops into place, it fits perfectly and is secure on all sides. When you put garbage in, it will naturally creep down a bit but it stays in place. When you want to take the garbage out, pull gently on the side of the bag and it will release so you can tie it up, grab the handle and dump. I usually carry the whole can because the handle is so much nicer than risking the bag breaking in my house or dripping on my floor. Also, if you have wood floors, you may want to put some floor protectors for furniture underneath so that it doesn't scuff your floor over time from extended use.

I can't believe I paid this much for a trash can. But once I got past the price, I realized that this is a really great trash can and may even be worth the sticker price. I was looking for a solution to avoid clutter in my kitchen by having multiple bags next to my trash can for recycling, etc. This does the job. Everything is contained in one attractive bin (that perfectly matches my stainless steel appliances), but is still separated so it's very easy to take outside and put in the appropriate bins. The color-coded foot pedals are an added bonus -- you don't have to actually touch the trash can to put something in it, and it's easy to tell what goes where. Initially, I was concerned that the trash bins would be very small requiring me to take the trash out every day. But you can actually fit quite a bit in the bin. And since the bins are removable (an even have a handle), it's pretty easy to take the trash out without making a mess even when the bins are quite full. It's also worth noting that the trash can was well-packaged so there weren't any dings, etc. in the stainless steel. I know others complained about this in their reviews so I'm not sure if I just got lucky or the packaging has recently improved, but that would have been a big con for me since this trash can is so expensive and part of the reason you pay that price is for looks! So glad I didn't have to deduct a star for that. The only con I see is that this trash can doesn't have a section for compost, but I knew what I was buying, so I can't really call that a con.

I liked this because the trash compartments were decent sizes. Most of these dual cans are too small. This one is a good size without taking up too much room in my kitchen. The design is clean and smart. There is a blue pedal for the recyclables and a green pedal for everything else. It has simplified and cleaned up things in my kitchen. I gave this 4 stars because there were a couple of things I thought could be better. FIrst - eventhough it was one of the lower priced dual trash cans, I thought is was a little flimsy - but the price is comparable to what is being charged for this type of product. I was expecting a little more solid product - especially with the lids. I haven't had any problems with the lids yet - if I do, I will update my review. Second, we like to use bags with our cans. The cans are really designed to be used without bags - which is more environmentally friendly. But this where convenience overrules in my home. I would have liked some sort of place to secure the bags on the can so they are more secure and I could still access the handle of the pail. This is an extremely minor "flaw" in my opinion. Overall, LOVE this purchase and would recommend it solely on the size of the canisters.

Like some others, I was hesitant to spend this much on a trash can, I mean, really, a trash can?! But it has been one of the best purchases I've ever made! I've read the complaints about fitting bags in this can, but took the advice of one reviewer: fit a standard white kitchen trash bag in the bin, pull the drawstring to one side, tuck it in as you replace the bin into the can, and you're done. Took me two tries and have not had a problem since. Since we recycle & compost, one bag a week on the trash side usually does it for us. I don't use a bag in the recycle side, as recyclables are turned in loose here. But the bin is easily carried out to dump recyclables in the recycle can, rinsed out if needed, and ready to go again. So far, I haven't had any problems with the lift mechanism, although like any step-on can, it might break if stomped on hard? In addition to the blue pedal for trash & the green pedal for recycling, I purchased a green recycle decal for the top of the can. Makes it easy for anyone else to do their part & recycle, without wondering which side is which. Everyone who has seen this can, loves it. The first one I received arrived damaged (box damaged in transit). I notified the company and received a replacement the same week. Re-boxed the damaged one, used their free return label, and dropped off at my local UPS. Easy and painless! I highly recommend the company & the product!

I really like this can. My kitchen is small and having a can for the trash and a can for the recyclables took up a lot of space. However, the can came with big dents. I was on my way on vacation and did not have the time to send the can back. I used to hammer and got a lot of the dents out but it is definitely not perfect for the money that I spent. Luckily, the way my kitchen is set up I can hide the bigger dent from being seen. The can is a little smaller than expected but still nice. I have to take out trash daily instead of every other day but I do have a 4 year old so I'm constantly throwing things away which can cause the can to fill quickly. I also like the fact that the can is color coded so when I ask my four-year-old to throw something away I can either let her know to throw it in the blue one or the green one which also teaches her what can be recycled and what can't. I have tried to post photos but this has been unsuccessful on my cell phone. Will try to add photos at a later time. Pictures posted in previous comments is about how bad mine came dented. I normally look at the reviews on everything that I buy but failed to look at the reviews on this can. I will definitely make sure I check that prior to buying anything else.

My mother and I love this trash can. It’s a bit small, so we crush our cans and bottles when we’re done with them so that we have more space in the recycling bin. though that’s more of an issue with my brother not taking it out as often as he should. regardless it’s beautiful, and saves us a lot of space and contains things well. It’s not the easiest to clean however. It got something nasty stuck to the bottom of it once and i took it out back with a hose for rinsing and washing. Let it sit out overnight soaking really just to get back to it in the morning. This works for us as it sits right off of the island in our kitchen and isn’t an eyesore. I would recommend this over any 3 compartment waste bin though as this one is already fairly small and a 3 bin container would just be even smaller portions needed.

It looks good and is well made. Some people were upset that is was too small to use as a trash can...I can't imagine using it as such. It's a recycling bin. We use one side for cans and plastic and the other side for paper (junk mail/newspaper/magazines mainly). I like the handles that allow you to pull the bins out easily. It is small, but we recycle a lot, and it gets full in about a week for two adults and 3 cats (canned cat food that we wash out then recycle). It fits the space I needed to fit it in and I measured. Make sure you understand the measurements. It is short. The foot pedals work really well, so far. I'm glad I bought it. I would like it a little taller (to hold more) but over all it helps me with the recycling "clutter" that was visible until I took things outside to the recycling bins. Large recycling items like boxes still need to be broken down and taken outside. This unit is for smaller, everyday, household items.

This was the perfect solution for our kitchen. We don't have a pantry and the space under the sink isn't that big, so this combo garbage/recycling can fit the bill. The width is perfect for the width at the end of our kitchen counter and doesn't stick out too far so that it's in the way. I use the regular tall kitchen bags in each side, which work fine. I got the taller combo cans, but I wish it was even taller or bigger in some way. Even though it's just my husband and I, we find that we need to empty it more that we used to. But for the convenience and the sleek, smart look, it's totally worth it. Separately, I ordered labels to go on the top so it's clear which side holds what - and I love that it has a lid, which is opened with an efficient foot pedal. We're very happy with this purchase - and it's totally worth the money!

Estoy muy contento con la compra pues el bote me ayuda a separar la basura orgánica en un recipiente y la reciclable en la otra, no deja escapar los olores, los acabos son muy buenos, es fácil de limpiar tanto por dentro como por fuera, y el mecanismo del pedal funciona muy bien. Lo recomiendo.

We have had this garbage for over 5 years and I just made a comment today to my partner that I am so impressed how well it has held up over the years. There are no signs of damage and everything still works great. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a larger garbage solution!

These are quite good looking bins and they are easily loaded and unloaded. I have two of them which I use for three different recycling categories.. so far very happy.

De muy buena calidad. Para cocinas pequeñas es el tamaño ideal. De los tres tamaños creo que es el mejor pues no es estorboso.
