St Moriz 200ml Instant Self Tanning Mousse Medium (Medium Mousse)

I am a self-tan connoisseur! I have strawberry blonde hair and naturally fair skin. Though I enjoy my natural ginger qualities, I also appreciate a sun-kissed look on occasion. This self-tanner is in direct competition with St. Tropez, yet this is a budget friendly option that is sure to give the same great results with out breaking the bank! The foam is easy to apply and dries quickly. The product leaves an immediate tint, but should be showered off after 6-8 hours to get the polished tint desired. (Before showering, skin appears a bit muddy....product must be showered off after wait time). This tanner also offers a buildable bronze when used consecutively over a day or two. Just reapply until you've reached a desirable shade of tan. I always have great coverage and a natural looking tan after one application. I have never experienced an orange or unnatural tan from using St. Moriz. Typically, I'll apply after a good scrub down in the shower the night before an event...I'll sleep with the product on 6+ hours and upon waking....I'll discover my pasty, pale freckled skin had been transformed leaving me looking as if I traveled to the beach in a nights sleep. The smell is not as awful as most products containing the ingredients needed in self-tanners (basically it's a given...the smell is only a minor set back for the reward of a healthy glow without cancer causing UV rays!). However, it does not linger on the skin after the product is showered off. This product last a long time, too. One bottle lasts for multiple use! If applied once a week, you'll make it last for 2+ months. Save time for shipping as I am fairly certain this is only available overseas. I have a naturally light skin-tone and have to watch out for self tanners that make me too-dark-too-quick or the dreaded oompa-loompa-orange, EEK! I’ve had many bad experiences, especially when I was a newbie. I like the self tanners that gradually give you a faux tan that actually looks natural. The St. Moriz Instant Self Tanner is a mousse. A mousse self tanner has a little different application technique. You need to use a glove or tanning mitt to apply. The mousse will quickly stain your palms without one. How to apply: Shake the closed bottle well. Pump a small amount (1-2 pumps) on your mitt or gloves. Apply to the body in a circular motion being sure to cover all areas of your body. I like to start at my legs and work up to my face. Apply sparingly to your ankles, knees and elbows. I like to bend them to prevent zebra stripes later. Allow to dry for 5-10 minutes. Scent: One of the drawbacks of most self tanners is the scent. I am always looking for ones with a light and fresh scent, this one is close to perfect. The scent is light and is barely, if at all, noticeable the next day. Consistency: The St. Moriz self tanner is a super light mousse and within minutes you won’t be able to feel it on your skin. Because it is so light, it has no moisturizing properties, be sure to moisturize. Price: $6.05 for 6.76 fluid ounces or .90 cents per ounce. I have only found this tanning mousse on Amazon. Results: Although application was a little more time consuming because of the foam, it gives amazing, natural-looking color. I was concerned the first night I used it as it looked so dark. But with blending it all smoothed right out and I looked like I went to the beach the week before. I have had zero streaks and zero patches since using this (could be because of my fabulous prep work, read post here). It has given me a gorgeous medium-dark tan just after one use. The best part about this self tanner is that it actually looks BETTER after a shower the next day.

I normally don't write reviews for products (actually, this is the first time I ever have), but my love for this tanner has motivated me to share my experience with others. I have used tons of self tanners -- Loreal Sublime and Xen Tan were my favorites until I tried this. I exfoliate thoroughly before applying and then I moisturize each night after showering to lock in the color. The color is completely believable and turns my casper-white skin to a golden tan! The guide color is great, as you can see exactly where you're applying, but it is darker than what you will have when you shower it off the next morning. It will stain your clothes and sheets though(left my white sheets pink!), but it will wash off. My only problem with the tanner is that it dries really quickly -- you have to be very fast in your application if you want it to be seamless. I have never had streaks from this product, and for the price -- you can't beat the color. I use the St Tropez tanning mit to apply -- this keeps my palms clean and I never have to worry about orange hands! I exfoliate twice a week, and that takes off the majority of my tan, so I can't say exactly how long the tan would last if you didn't do this. It's buildable, and if you apply it every night for a few nights, you are going to get pretty dark. The smell is pleasant at first, but it does get a tad bit strange as it develops -- but there is no noticeable smell after you shower the next morning and wash the guide off. I hope that I am never without this tanner - I no longer go to the tanning bed now that I know I don't have to damage my skin to get a lovely, golden tan.

I've been fake tanning for over 10 years, I can not recommended enough how important it is to get a good glove when using products like this. My skin tends to burn then tan. I'm pretty white and am thankful for fake tanners. As far as tanners go I've learned that mousse is my favorite, lotion being my second and spray my least. I'll tell ya why: Fake Bake Flawless tanner. This product does come with a glove - I hated the glove. You will read mix reviews on the glove. Some love it well others felt the way I did. What's point of using a glove if the product goes through it. It also the material sheds. I don't like spray because you're spraying it into the air, it goes every where. It smells! I don't want fake tanner on my new gray tile bathroom. Or on my counter. I'm only using this product now to use it up since I got the two bottle deal. Sun Laboratories Ultra DARK lotion: One of my favorite lotions. Better than any store brand. Hardly any smell to it. The lotion is dark so you can see where it goes. Easy to apply. Drys fast. Great color. Works even better with a glove. St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse Medium: My newest love. Love love the mousse. It works so well. You see where it goes, the glove makes it so simple to spread. I did try the dark but even with a glove I can't get it to apply right. I think I'm just too white for it. It gives me a grayness to my I also recommend getting a pair of exfoliating gloves for the shower. Target had a nice thick pair (don't get the thin). Use every time you shower. This arrived sooner than it was supposed to, so that's awesome, especially since it came from the UK. I used this with my Beauty By Earth tanning kit. You should definitely use this with an apllication mitt. If you are new to sunless tanning, the first thing you need to know is exfoliating is the most important part and the first step. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! If you don't have an exfoliating glove, use a loofah or natural bristle body brush in the shower with soap or body wash/body scrub. After that, you use lotion on rough areas like elbows, knees and ankles. After that it's time to tan and that's where a mitt comes in. I start with my neck. I just did a small pump on the mitt and rubbed in circular motions on my neck. Once my neck was covered, I used what was left on the mitt to tan my face. If you put too much tanner on your face, your face will just look dirty, so I go lighter on my face. Next I move on to the shoulders and arms and just continue on down. Save your feet and hands for last and just use the excess tanner that is left on the mitt, don't pump anymore tanner out. This tanner is excellent! It smells great and if you've used sunless tanner before, you know it's hard to find one that smells good! This one does. It didn't turn me orange. It is very natural looking. It glided onto my skin and blended out easily. I waited 10-15 minutes for it to dry before getting dressedI like that it is medium color instead of dark so that it isn't a super dramatic change. It is still plenty of color. I am fair-skinned with freckles and this made me 3-4 shades darker with one application. If you don't know, all sunless tanners are going to fade if you go swimming. I have no complaints with this tanner.

I tried this product in hopes it was a dupe for st.tropez (I’ve used st.tropez for years but with the price tag now being almost $50 a bottle I was looking for a more pocket friendly option) This product goes on really well and I like that you have immediate results which makes it nearly impossible to miss a spot. It’s not streaky and doesn’t dry sticky like other self tanners do although it does have the typical self tanner smell. I love the final color BEFORE showering. As soon as you rinse, the color is gone (I bought the medium shade) Ive made sure to not scrub or wipe the color off while rinsing but it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve also tried to rinse and then do another layer but again, I’m back to my normal skin tone after rising. I am going to try the dark shade to see if it’s any better but if not I’ll be trying another brand.

I haven't fake baked since the 90's, so i braced myself for the carrot-like glow, only to be surprised by a realistic tan. I already had a base tan and I am a medium shade with yellow/red undertones. This mousse has cool hues that looked great on me. No streaks, no bad smell, no sudden color change. It was natural enough that people just assumed i went to the beach. Dries quickly and doesnt smear on fabrics. Apply with a mitt and buff into creases with a brush. Work somewhat quickly. It doesnt moisturize, but i didnt want it to. Do it be fore bed and rinse in the a.m. and you'll have a nice glow. I purchased Fake Bake spray tanner at the same time and comparing the two, this St. Moriz mousse is cheaper, easier to apply, and had a nicer color. I will buy again.

I ordered this on amazon via Blush Cosmetics on May 1 and it came on May 17...way before the estimated ship date YAY! I bought it because others compared it to St. Tropez, which I really didn't want to fork out $40 for. Anyways, I tried it this morning. It is a great mousse, nicely tinted with a milk chocolate brown color. I was kinda nervous when I started to spread it on my legs because it did look kinda streaky. But I rubbed it in good and loved the nice tanned look I got right away on my pasty white skin. Then I applied it everywhere else. I should note I got the medium color and it's plenty dark for me. It looks as dark as the VersaSpa dark tan color I got at Suntan City. It's been a few hours and I am definitely not the same color I was this morning which is exactly what I wanted! Just a note of caution, when you put it on your face, put a good moisturizer on first and then use 1/2 a pump of mousse or less. For some dumb reason I used a whole pump and it was way too much, I kinda botched my face up with too much tanner. But now I know for next time. I am excited to use this product all through winter to keep a nice sunny glow. Since I can't reach my back I can see on my sides where I stopped and it looks crazy. I need my husband to get my back for me because there is a noticeable difference in color. But now I can compare what my skin looks like with and without. The tanned part is a deep chocolatey color and not orange at all. I am a very happy customer! Thanks St. Moriz! **** Updated August 18**** Still a huge fan! I bought the tanning mitt and that made all the difference when applying to all over your body. I suggest getting the mitt too :)

I love this so much, I've tried most of drugstore self tanners but they made my skintone an unnatural colour or it just didn't show up on my skin. Purchased the medium and dark for an even tan since my skin isn't even toned so it does the job(: Used it once during the winter, almost a month ago & it lasted me almost 2 weeks, so I was very please. I hardly ever see reviews of darker skinned ladies writing a review or video reviews on these tanning products, but for color reference I'm the shade sienna in becca ultimate coverage. I love getting darker in the summer but laying out in the sun can be damaging no matter what skintone you are, so fake tans is a great substitute!!

I love this fake tan! It's amazing. I've used other fake tans and wasnt that impressed, I'm also reluctant to spend the prices fake bake and st tropez charge. I've had loads of compliments on how tanned I look and keep recommending everone to buy it. So the actual product review....it arrived next day which was a massive bonus. When applying use latex gloves and give it a good shake. Make sure you have an old t-shirt and shorts to wear after applying. You need to leave the fake tan on for at least 4-6 hrs to get a good result...generally i do overnight and wash it off in the morning. It sets in very quick so make sure you do a section at a time and really work it in. It colours dark so you can see where it has been applied but takes on a very natural tan colour once its finished. it doesnt go streaky if you actually work it in - the end result is based on how much effort you put in. It dries pretty quickly but will stay very slightly sticky for a while. It does have a bit of a biscuit smell but its worth it for the colour you get. Dont go near any water until you are ready to wash it off as it will rub the tan off. It also lasts a good 3 days or more before you have to top up again and doesnt come off in the shower once set. Very happy and will continue to use this product!!
