Best all-rounder screwdriver - Just buy it
Excellent screwdriver! After trying several, this is the best. There's very little play in the construction. The ratcheting mechanism is tight and snappy. The handle feels nice. The bit storage is excellent and easy to access. The end also spins freely for situations were that might be useful. I much prefer a solid shaft like this over those other ones that extend or retract (less moving parts to break). The BEST part of this screwdriver is that it uses standard bits you already have lying around, and it has a super strong magnet to lock bits in place (as well as some fasteners). I cannot tolerate screwdrivers with double-end bits or small bits. I need my screwdriver to take all my bits for those odd jobs. The Linus Tech Tips screwdriver is basically a clone of this (they admit this on their site), but with some tweaks. Why pay $70 when you can pay less than half that for a Megapro? Plus, this takes standard bits instead of Linus' smaller bits. It's no contest.

Best most complete ratcheting screwdriver for the price
Bought this based on the review by Project Farm, which does the most complete, precise, scientifically accurate reviews on YouTube. The Megapro came in third place out of fourteen tested, just behind PB Swiss and LTT, and at a much better price. Extremely smooth ratcheting mechanism with very little back drag, and a strong lock up. You can just feel the quality in this thing. It also comes with an excellent assortment of bits conveniently stored in the handle. The bit carousel is held very securely in the handle but pulls out easily and rotates smoothly. I already own several ratchets, including a ratcheting screwdriver and a couple of t-handle ratchets, and every 1/4” hex bit you can think of, but I wanted a convenient, all-in-one grab and go option, and the Megapro checks the most boxes out of all those I was considering. I prefer magnetic bits to ball detent, and the bit storage system as well as the bit selection is superior to every other comparable driver. I would have liked a few hex (Allen) bits as part of the selection, but the fact that they use standard 1” bits means you can mix and match with other bits that you own and are more likely to need. The only thing that would have made it perfect would be if they used double sided bits like the Wiha 26-in-1 Ultra Driver, which I also own. I suppose if Wiha made a ratcheting 26-in-1, I would have bought that for the sake of convenience and more “on board” options, but in my opinion the Megapro is currently the best most complete package available. Also, there is no indicator on the handle to tell you if you are set on clockwise, counterclockwise, or lock. Not a big deal at all, but it would be nice to know when you grab the tool without having to twist it to find out. So I made my own indicator by poking a small hole in the plastic with an awl.

This is the right model! (don't get the versions with double-end bits)
Okay, confession: I'm a fan of LTT (YouTube: LinusTechTips). They're developing a screwdriver, and during one of their live streams, Linus revealed that he's using this screwdriver to design his. (He has licensed with MegaPro to use some of their patents, so this is all 100% legal. And I'm guessing that a future model by MegaPro could use some of the improvements that Linus developed.) However, as of this review, the LTT screwdriver has not yet released. I've had the MegaPro screwdriver for a couple months, and I've used it for several jobs around the house. It is my go-to for nearly every project (except for prying: I don't want to risk damaging it). Because the bits are an industry-standard design, finding replacements is simple (as opposed to double-ended bits... they can be found, but not as easily), and nearly any standard bit will fit this screwdriver. - Update... The LTT screwdriver has released. I ordered one, but haven't received it yet. Project Farm (another YouTube channel) did a comparison of 14 ratcheting screwdrivers, including the LTT screwdriver, as well as a different model of the MegaPro. Summary: LTT ranked second, and the MegaPro ranked third. They got beaten by PB Swiss, but the PB Swiss is twice as expensive as the LTT screwdriver, and well over 3 times more expensive than the MegaPro. In relation to the Project Farm video, I feel that I need to point out differences between the MegaPro driver he tested and the one in my review: 1. The tested model has double-end bits, and the in-handle storage holds 6 of them. The Megapro Automotive has standard single bits, and the handle stores 12. 2. Project Farm's tested model does not have a magnetic tip, which caused it to drop in the overall ranking. The Megapro Automotive does have a magnetic tip. It wasn't tested (obviously), but I believe its ranking would jump, and might even overtake the LTT screwdriver. 3. I believe the ratcheting design is the same between the tested model and the Automotive, so those test result should be valid here also. In conclusion, the MegaPro, bang-for-the-buck, is the best ratcheting screwdriver on the market, and this model (with the standard single bits) is the best MegaPro has. I could not be happier with my purchase. - New update... Finally got my LTT screwdriver, and had time to test it. (I left a 4-star review for it on the LTT website on 26 Dec 2022, under the title "Almost Perfect.") Now that I've had time with both screwdrivers, there are some additional notes... 1. I was extremely impressed by the knurling on the shaft of the LTT screwdriver, and would love to see it incorporated in future Megapro products. 2. The ratcheting mechanism is reversed on the LTT screwdriver, and I find that I actually prefer it, especially when bearing down with both hands: the LTT screwdriver allows me to grip the entire handle without worrying about accidentally switching the ratcheting direction. 3. Handle size: the Megapro has a larger handle, presumably because it holds "normal" bits rather than the "shorty" bits of the LTT screwdriver. For my larger hands, I prefer the Megapro, especially because of the rubberized grip (as opposed to the simply plastic handle of the LTT screwdriver). 4. Bit storage: the Megapro Automotive stores up to 12 "normal" single-end bits, whereas putting those same bits into the LTT screwdriver limits me to 6. Sure, replacement bits for the LTT screwdriver do exist, but the industry standard design that Megapro Automotive uses is far superior. Final notes: Megapro Automotive: 5 stars ... LTT: 4 stars. Don't get me wrong, I really like some of the innovations of the LTT screwdriver (especially the knurled shaft and ratcheting direction), but industry standard bit storage in the handle and a rubberized grip are enough to put the Megapro Automotive on top.

Great ratchet mechanism and quality. 1" bit compatibility and storage is icing on the cake.
This is a fantastic ratcheting screwdriver. I have used it every day for a couple weeks as an electrician and am impressed with the quality. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and requires very little resistance to ratchet which was the most important factor for me. The bit holder works great and allows me to switch bits quickly because they don't need to be dumped out to find the desired bit. I have not tried to pry on anything since I have a designated "beater" flat-head for that purpose but i suspect it could handle some light duty prying. The shaft to handle joint has some minimal wiggle/deflection but it is not noticeable at all during use and still feels sturdy. The magnet is reasonably strong and useful. The handle itself is pretty comfortable in my hand and though slightly bigger than my other screwdrivers still allows for good maneuverability. The direction selector is a little difficult to use one handed in tight/odd work spaces but still manageable and has not jumped positions unintentionally on me yet. Overall this is is a superb product and is now my go-to screwdriver. It replaced my Klein 10-in-1 in that regard. If you are going to buy a mega-pro ratcheting screwdriver I highly recommend getting this version because it uses any standard 1" bit and is magnetized. As a disclaimer I have not done a hands on comparison to other popular ratcheting screwdrivers such as the Wera or snap-on but I did handle, briefly in the store, the Klein and Milwaukee versions and passed on those without a second thought as the ratcheting mechanisms were not very refined. I did buy a kobalt double drive simply because it was $5 and I didn't like it after 5 mins of use (cumby ratchet, tons of deflection, cheap feel, and ect ect). It ended up in the junk drawer and will be given away eventually. I took a chance on this mega-pro driver and am very glad I did. It is everything I was looking for and more.

Comfortable grip, and sturdy ratcheting mechanism.
Love this tool. Fits comfortably in the hand, and its easy to start a screw. The ratcheting is smooth, yet allows you to apply a nice chunk of torque without slipping. The bits in the handle are nice, and make zero noise which was a must for me to keep this. Im not doing any mechanic work with it, but it has very easily handled all of my home DIY repairs and builds. Id buy it again if it ever broke!

An efficient and sturdy companion
I recently purchased the MegaPro ratcheting screwdriver and have been putting it to the test for various projects around my home. As someone who frequently engages in DIY projects and repairs, I value tools that are versatile, reliable, and built to last. After spending some quality time with this screwdriver, I'm pleased to share my thoughts on its performance. First and foremost, the MegaPro impressed me with its exceptional build quality. The handle feels solid and well-designed, providing a comfortable grip during extended use. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth and allows for effortless switching between clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, saving me valuable time and energy. This feature alone makes it a versatile tool suitable for a wide range of applications. The inclusion of a convenient and practical storage compartment within the handle is a clever addition. This built-in bit storage ensures that the necessary bits are always close at hand, reducing the risk of misplacing them during projects. Moreover, the magnetic tip securely holds the bits in place, preventing frustrating instances of slippage that can damage screws or delay progress. One aspect that could be improved is the selection of included bits. While the MegaPro comes with a decent assortment, I found that there were a few specialized bits missing that I needed for certain tasks. However, this is a minor issue as additional bits can easily be purchased separately to expand the tool's versatility. Another feature missing here is texturing on the screwdriver's shaft. It would be way more convenient to finer screwing just rotating the shaft with my fingers. Another feature worth mentioning is the screwdriver's overall durability. It has withstood rigorous use without showing any signs of wear or deterioration. This reassures me that the MegaPro is an investment that will last for years to come, even with frequent use and demanding projects. The screwdriver falls just short of a perfect rating due to its price point. While I appreciate the high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design, the cost may be a deterrent for some buyers. However, if you're willing to invest in a dependable and long-lasting tool, the MegaPro is certainly a worthwhile choice. In conclusion, this MegaPro screwdriver is a reliable and efficient tool that has become an indispensable part of my toolbox. Its sturdy build, smooth ratcheting action, and integrated storage make it a pleasure to use. Although the selection of included bits could be more comprehensive and the price may be a bit steep, its durability and overall performance make it a worthy investment for any avid DIY enthusiast or professional alike.

Great screwdriver for the price that uses standard bits! The LTT one is not worth 2x the cost.
Fantastic screwdriver that uses standard size bits! I bought it based on Project Farm's review and the fact that Linus Tech Tips licensed the patents from WorkPro for its own screwdriver. This screwdriver is strong, sturdy, and has minimal back drag. My biggest pet peeve is that rotating the selector for the ratcheting mechanism is the opposite of what I think it would be. You rotate the mechanism the opposite way you want to turn the screw when the shaft is pointing at the screw. The LTT screwdriver corrected that so if you want to be able to turn the screw clockwise you rotate the selector mechanism clockwise while the shaft is pointed toward the screw. Also, the shaft of this driver lacks knurling for using your thumb and index finger, whereas the LTT screwdriver has it. But those two things certainly do not make the LTT screwdriver worth 2x the price.

Fantastic Screwdriver
After doing my research I decided to purchase this screwdriver. Pros: *It has a great ratcheting action to it, it's very smooth and can even work relatively loose screws as a result. *The ability to turn the ratchet off in situations where it'd be an inconvenience *It has a large amount of bit storage in the handle. The holder is held in tightly by a magnet and you won't have any issues with it sliding out while in use or your bits getting mixed up. *The back end of the holder also rotates very smoothly which is helpful for those tough screws that you need a lot of force behind. You can brace your hand against it to keep from slipping out of tough screws and since the holder rotates easily you can still turn the screwdriver without almost any added resistance. *This model of the screwdriver works with standard 1" bits and comes with 12 of them all in the holder ( the added 1 function is the ability to be used as a 1/4" hex head ratchet ) Cons: *Could have a slightly better bit selection but that's barely a complaint when this model supports standard bits that you can buy from anywhere Summary: This is a fantastic screwdriver and should last you a long time. It comes with a decent variety of bits and anything you need you can easily buy from a local hardware store. I recommend this over the standard version because that one uses proprietary 2" bits that you can only get from the manufacturer and you are unlikely to find some of the more unusual bits in their stock. If you are looking for a ratcheting screwdriver, I highly recommend checking this one out and consider giving it a buy.

One of the best
Try and grab it for Under £40! I grabbed this for £36 and it's hands-down one of the best ratcheting screwdrivers I’ve ever used. The storage is top draw—you get loads of bits, all solid quality too. The top cap spins just like a precision screwdriver, which is a subtle but brilliant touch. The build feels premium and sturdy, with a smooth ratcheting mechanism that sounds as good as it feels. What really blew me away is the almost non-existent play in the shaft—virtually zero back drag and rock-solid performance. Seriously impressed. Solid 9/10.

Incredible Screwdriver! (Automotive Ratcheting Model)
This review is for the Automotive-R model. I had used a Stanley ratcheting screwdriver for years and the bit storage on it annoyed the heck out of me. But it was what I had and didn't think otherwise. Then I misplaced it and looked around for a quality screwdriver. Folks recommended the Linus Tech Tips (LTT) screwdriver, but the price and shipping wasn't what I was looking for. Some quick Googling lead me to the Megapro Automotive-R as an alternative. This is an incredible screwdriver-- the 28 tooth ratchet is like butter compared to my old Stanley, the bit storage is a feature so convenient that I won't ever do without again. You can swap out for any standard 1/4" bits if the initial load out aren't bits you use and I've found the magnet quite effective. I haven't had any large drops, so I can't speak to durability, but it feels fairly solid. My only complaint is the screwdriver a little long for tight spaces and there's no shorter handled model from Megapro. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Automotive Ratcheting screwdriver from Megapro. I lost it today, I would buy the same one in a second.
