Precision and Convenience Combined
My husband purchased the Wixey Digital Angle Gauge Type 2 with Magnetic Base and Backlight, and it has quickly become an essential tool in his woodworking arsenal. This device offers a combination of precision, convenience, and user-friendly features that elevate its utility. 1. Accuracy: The Wixey Digital Angle Gauge provides incredibly accurate angle measurements. Whether my husband is working on miter cuts, bevels, or setting up the table saw, he can trust the readings to be spot-on. 2. Magnetic Base: The built-in magnetic base is a game-changer. It securely attaches to the metal surfaces of our tools, allowing for hands-free operation. This is especially handy when setting up saw blades or jointer fences. 3. Backlight: The backlight feature is a real standout. It ensures readability in various lighting conditions, even in dimly lit workshops. No need to squint or use external lighting sources. 4. User-Friendly: The digital display is easy to read, and the controls are straightforward. Calibration is a breeze, and the auto-shutoff function preserves battery life. 5. Versatility: This angle gauge can be used in a variety of applications, from setting angles on power tools to checking the squareness of assemblies. It's a versatile tool that suits both professional woodworkers and hobbyists. 6. Build Quality: The Wixey Type 2 is built to last, and it feels durable in hand. It can withstand the demands of a busy workshop. In summary, the Wixey Digital Angle Gauge Type 2 with Magnetic Base and Backlight is a must-have for anyone who values precision and efficiency in woodworking or metalworking tasks. One of those shop tools you donโt realize you need until you own one
This is an incredibly useful little tool to keep around the workshop, especially considering how inexpensive it is. I originally bought it specifically for setting up and calibrating woodworking equipment like my table saw and jointer, but it quickly turned into one of those tools I reach for constantly. The obvious use cases are things like: * setting blade angles * checking jointer fence alignment * dialing in machine setup and it works great for all of that. But where it became unexpectedly valuable was general problem-solving around the shop. Anytime I need to quickly determine an angle relative to another surface or object, this thing saves a huge amount of frustration compared to trying to: * eyeball it * use a traditional protractor * stack squares and gauges together * improvise measurements Itโs one of those tools that solves oddly specific geometry problems in seconds that otherwise turn into an annoying process. A few things I especially like: * quick and easy to use * compact enough to keep nearby * accurate enough for woodworking setup * much faster than manual angle methods * versatile beyond just machine calibration The value proposition is really what stands out though. This is the kind of tool that can meaningfully improve setup accuracy and workflow for very little money. Definitely one of those โbuy once and constantly find uses for it laterโ workshop tools.

Itโs accurate
The product is a great product to have for those woodworks that travel to the field, and have there tools used a lot to stay precise, and on the money.

Easy and accurate
Got this to check angle on saw blades. I thought it would be more magnetic than it is. Doesnโt hang on to blades so have to hold it (yeah blades could be weakly magnetized but whatever the reason). Easy to use and seems to be accurate. Zero it to one surface and measure the surface of interest. Very simple and a lot easier than using carpenter square (and this can be used for any angle, not just 90 and 45). A nice way to confirm what you think youโve done. Good purchase if angle precision is important

Accurate
Seems way better than my last other brand one was. Checking against an accurate square itโs bang on. Glad I bought it.

Insures better accuracy
Have not used yet but I'm expecting good results from this gauge, especially on the table saw. Not worried about the miter saw because it has been tuned up for accuracy but the Tablesaw is a little harder when trying to set a bevelled edge on your wood. I'm sure this is going to help immensely and also speed up the process.

Accurate little device
Seems to work very well, checked it against my certified machinists square and it is in agreement. I have no difficulty reading the display when using it in my shop. Magnet is of sufficient strength to hold the unit in place. Iโm using it to set angles on my woodworking equipment (tablesaw, bandsaw, mitersaw, and jointer) Note that there is only a magnet on the bottom, some tilt boxes have magnets in both sides as well, but it doesnโt impede use.
