Excellent family sized barbecue - high quality with excellent features.
I've always wanted a charcoal barbecue after only using a gas barbecue for years and this doesn't disappoint. The overall quality and build of the barbecue is excellent. It's not too difficult to put together and probably took me about 20 minutes. I bought a chimney starter and some charcoal baskets to go with it and they work really well. The chimney starter heats the coals up perfectly and the ability to move the coals to get indirect or direct heat is great. So I'd recommend them as an additional purchase. The lid has a temperature gauge which works quite well as a guide and it also has vents on the lid to adjust temperature and flow through. The tray to catch ash at the bottom can be a tiny bit fiddly, but overall it's well designed. The actual grilling surface area is huge and you can have food being grilled towards the centre and food keeping warm or slowly cooking around the edges. My next step is to buy some wood pellets and go low and slow for a big chunk of meat and try smoking some good quality meat on it. Overall, it's a great product and the Weber name lives up to their reputation.

Reliable quality at a good price
This iteration of Weber's classic design lives up to the legacy of its predecessors. I picked it up on sale for ~£160 so it's definitely worth keep an eye for a deal on this item if you can afford to wait. As far as assmebly goes, it's a pretty straightforward activity. I was able to easily slot it together on my own over the course of about 20 minutes using the included tools/accessories. Actually using the BBQ is a very good experience, plenty of room for coals (though I also picked up a couple of coal baskets for this too which also fit well and are easily handled under the cooking grate), the integrated hook on the lid is great as you can simply hang the lid off the BBQ rather than trying to find somewhere to dump it while trying to turn sausages. At the sale price this is an extremnely easy recommendation to make if you're in the market for a BBQ. Even at the regular price it's probably worth it. In short, a good value BBQ that works well and has some good quality of life improvements over the older models.

A very sturdy thing
It's a barbecue and it's one that has been reviewed so many times that I'm not going to bore you by repeating what's already been said; instead I will make a few observations in the hope that it helps others who might be undecided. The instructions (which seem to cover almost every language on earth & arrive in reams of printed paper bagged inside the product's box) are adequate on their own but there's an excellent ap to help with building these BBQ's which makes the process very straightforward. And as you're building this you can see the quality in the weight of the parts used. Once assembled it's a very sturdy, steady thing which I can see lasting the family for many years. Now that we've used it a few times I think I'm getting used to it. One thing I really like is how easy it is to clean - relatively speaking, for a charcoal barbecue of course. A word of warning: there are absolutely loads of accessories available to suit this type of barbecue and it isn't only the expense of these but the storage of them that you might need to consider. Personally for example I found a chimney fire starter to be very handy together with basket fuel holders which, for me at least, has made barbecueing even easier. There are pizza stones; rotisseries; and no end of other potentially very useful bits and pieces that could make this barbecue an extremely versatile and much-used culinary tool. One thing I'm going to try soon is smoking a brisket of beef in this. Yes I could have gone for an alternative, either cheaper which would then probably only last a year if I'm lucky OR a different type or even gas. But I wanted to go (kind of) back to basics after my last trolley barbecue rusted away due to age and so far at least I'm pleased with my choice. Those eating what I've cooked on the BBQ so far seem pleased too, and at the end of the day that is what matters most.

Nice barbecue
Is a nice and well built barbecue, has a good air flow control when the lid is on but removing the lid makes the lower vent ineffective as the air flows in from the edge of the ball to under the charcoals , haven't tried it with full amount of charcoal yet as would be too much for and small family barbecue

Excellent quality
Superb quality from Weber. Even after leaving it outdoors for the whole wet and cold English winter, there’s not a spot of rust. Avoid cheaper brands that’ll rust in a year, you get what you pay for with Weber.

Total Quality
There may be cheaper barbecues available but none come close to the quality of a real Weber. I’m terrible at putting things together but I had no issues at all, other than thinking there was one missing screw. Weber’s online customer support was instant and they immediately responded that they would send the part- which I then found in the box 😆 Again an instant reply to my email saying I no longer needed the part. First class product and service

This is a barbecue!
Well now ……. this is a barbecue! Let me tell ya, mate, the Weber Original Kettle Charcoal Grill, 57cm, is a real beauty. Solid as a rock, simple as a campfire, and built like it was forged in the Outback. This thing doesn’t just cook food—it grills it to perfection. You can throw on your snags, a T-bone the size of your face, or a full rack of ribs, and it’ll sizzle away like it’s been doing it since the Dreamtime. The heat control? Spot on. The lid? Seals in the smokey flavour like a croc with a secret. And the clean-up? Easy as flickin’ a fly off your hat. Now, I know what you’re thinking—“That sounds great, but what about gettin’ one?” Well, that’s where Amazon comes in. Crikey, their service is faster than a roo on a hotplate. Ordered it, and before I could say “throw another shrimp on the barbie,” it was at my doorstep. Packaging was perfect, everything in the box, and not a dent or ding in sight. So if you’re lookin’ for a real-deal, fire-up-some-charcoal, make-the-neighbours-jealous kind of grill, this Weber Kettle’s your guy. And if you want it without any fuss, straight to your door, then Amazon’s the tribe to trust. Bloody brilliant, both of ‘em.

Excellent Barbecue
