Seriously, stop reading all these reviews and buy this Giant Godzilla!
This Godzilla is everything any Godzilla fan could want in a giant sized Godzilla! He is well made and has been very durable for us. He is simple enough for my 4 year old to play with, even though he is a little hard to carry up and down stairs for him since Godzilla is half his size....and that tail! What a serious tail. You have to assemble the tail yourself. It's easy to do. He would have to come in an unreasonably sized package if the tail came assembled. The tail has a joint in it so it can swing back and forth. This is a nice touch. The end of the tail does sometimes come off but it's very simple to stick back on. I don't find this to be a big deal. The arms move up and down. The legs can rotate forward and back. The head can move all around. The mandible can open and close, which is nice for biting everything. The spikes along the back are flexable rubbery material. The body is molded plastic. I think the spikes are big enough. I see, like other reviewers, that there is a speaker area which makes it seem like he was originally supposed to have a roar. It would of been an excellent detail. I could go to sleep every night to the sound of Gojira's roar...but, it's certainly not a deal breaker. I tend to prefer toys that don't make noise. Generally I won't buy my children noisy toys, however, I would make an exception for Godzilla. The shear size of this toy still makes it worth it. I remeber the first night I tripped over it. This thing really took me down. That will teach me to think I'm stealth enough to walk around my sons room in the dark now that Godzilla lives here. Our giant sized Godzilla had quite a fight with our 12 inch Mecha Godzilla and in the aftermath I noticed Mecha Godzilla seemed to leave some silver marks on giant sized Godzilla during battle. Not too noticeable but now I have my son cool it a little when in battle with Mecha. Fortunately, giant sized Godzilla mostly enjoys protecting the Barbies in my house. This tends to be a little less treacherous than monster fighting. He wears his battle scars quite well though. Also, it took me about a month to get used to seeing him around the house. When I would see him in another room out of the corner of my eye, I'd get spooked some animal or gremlin-ish creature got in our house somehow. Eventually I came to think of him as a pet. That's where it stands today.

Best Godzilla Figure Ever! King of The Monsters & Figures!
This figure is massive! He looks on scale as the real Godzilla when compared to Lego, Mega Bloks, and K'NEX figures. His tail is big and has swinging action. His mouth, head, arms, legs, tail, and feet all move some. Pros- -His size! He is massive - Face looks great - The tail is cool Cons- - Paint job could have been better Also beware of 2 things with this giant figure 1. The price! You can get this from other places way cheaper than the asking price here. 2. Make sure you get the tail to lock in on the figure. If you don't get the tail to lock in it will fall off easy. I got it to lock in and it works great (not fell off any). Bottom Line- If your a true Godzilla fan this is the ultimate Godzilla! His size is so massive that he looks very impressive! I see this being a rare collectible in the future. If you can get this giant for a good price, I say get it! Be sure to check out some of the pictures I added here on Amazon of this amazing figure.

Time for your other toys to head for the hills!!
Truly, has there ever been a more monstrous toy than this...!!? The time has come for all your other toys and models to turn and run...! Yes Transformers, your day of reckoning is at hand - with the arrival of the Jakks Pacific Godzilla! A massive 'Beast' of a figure, it will tower over your collection and lay waste to any and all cities of Lego which you may build. Nicely detailed with just enough paint apps (on mine anyhow) and with a reasonable degree of articulation, it stands imposingly commanding and impressive at a scratch under two feet tall and over three feet long! Being so large, he is perhaps a little unwieldy for very young children to handle and I thought it was a shame that Jakks didn't proceed with the obviously planned installation of a sound chip, tho' this is a very minor gripe considering how magnificent the figure actually is for the money and being of robust construction, to boot. If you are 6 or 76 and are a fan of Godzilla and of monsters generally, you simply cannot afford to be without this piece of movie monster memorabilia!

Nice item but should include sound for the price
Initial review upon opening this item. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. This is a great Godzilla to add to your collection. While it falls short in a couple areas, overall they did a nice job on this large figure. It's truly Godzirra!!! So, now for the details... The body, legs and arms are made of hard plastic. The dark coloring on these parts is done very well overall. One note, the front of the body has a dark green and black coloring but this is not consistent with the all black back and legs. Its as if they either rushed to assembly without painting the green on the back and legs or they intended it to be that way. Either way, it is not a big deal but an interesting observation none-the-less. The back dorsal fins are black, rubberized and flexible. They appear to be securely attached to the body in one long rubberized strip. The tail is a soft rubberized material and is segmented into 4 parts. (ships in 2 pieces in the box) Only one of the 4 parts is hinged for side-to-side movement while the 2 smaller joints can be twisted 360 degrees if desired. The 4th and largest joint is where the tail attaches to the hard plastic body. It attaches securely with 3 hard plastic clips that twist into a locking position on the body. This large tail joint is meant to remain in place once assembled. The legs are made of hard black plastic and can be moved forward and backward at the hip. There is no knee joint. The hands and feet are both made of the soft black rubberized material and match the color of the rubberized tail. They can be twisted around 360 degrees. There are no joints in the fingers or toes. The head is rubberized with the dark green/black fading into black as you look towards the back of the head. The head can be turned 360 degrees. The rubberized bottom jaw can be manually opened and closed. It holds in place well in any position between fully open and fully closed. The face paint/coloring was applied very well. Now the interesting part... there is a speaker grill in the front abdomen and what appears to be a sealed battery compartment under the tail where it connects to the body. The sounds were either excluded upon final launch or possibly there will be a deluxe version released during the holiday season that will include sounds. Some of you may be aware that this happened with a large Darth Vader figure that was released last year at a large national warehouse club chain. Either way, that is my biggest gripe about this figure. It should have included sounds. Well, that's it for my review. I hope you enjoyed... Thank you

The figure is very good quality. Very good detail and very articulit.
This figure is very cool. It has a lot of movement, and really gives you an idea of how big Godzilla is. It has a lot of movement, and the detail is quite good. From what I've heard, not exactly the best, but very good none the less. It maybe even just me, but I note the mouth is hard to get where you want, when you want when you move it along to the roar. That's the other thing. If you don't already know, when you are about to put the tail on, take a quick look where the tail goes. There's a battery dore in there. People guess this figure was supposed to roar, but Jakks Pacific stept back from having it roar. I assume it's because it would cost more. It already costs $50 like the Trendmasters Ultimate Godzilla for Godzilla 1998 which did roar. So I guess it would go way more then they would want it to if it did. It would have been epic if it did though. I love it as it is. But this kind of silent figure like Trendmasters's Supreme Godzilla is more fun if you know all of Godzilla's sounds, or to move it along to the movie. Note I never meantioned the color. I'm blind so color doesn't really matter to me other then to know what color it actually is. I do find it interesting that the tong is 2 collors. That's very odd. So yeah, get it, it's very epic. I just got it now because the film is in theaters so we now truly know all the sounds and everything. It will be very cool when the BD is out and one can make it walk along with the real one, and move it's mouth to the roar and stuff.

Great-looking action figure!
Once my Godzilla action figure arrived in the mail, I was more than satisfied. First off, it's huge! With the tail, it's 43 inches long and about 22-24 inches in height (pending on how you pose him). It's bigger than the classic Shogun Warriors Godzilla by Mattel--which is no slouch in size, itself. It has a good paint job and a great sculpt. The plastic is a combination of soft and hard mold, which works great on certain articulation points. Have heard some complaints about his spine plates not being long enough, but they appear just fine to me. The tail has a cool swinging mechanism, which adds to the figure's collectability. Only thing that could have made it cooler would have been if it had sounds to it, but really no big deal. This is definitely a great item for collectors and a great toy for kids of all ages.

The big G never looked so good!
This version of Gojira is MASSIVE!!! at, or above, 2 feet tall and 3 feet long from nose to tail! His jaw opens and closes, his hands move, wrists, legs, arms, even his feet move! ANY KID WHO IS A GODZILLA FAN IS GONNA FLIP OVER THIS THING!!! And his tail has quite the swinging action as well! For some odd reason though there's a speaker grill on him and a place for a battery pack and electronics, but I guess the company rejected that...oh well that's the ONLY gripe about this that I have; would have been awesome to squeeze his fins or open his mouth and hear that famous "Godzilla (Gojira) ROAR!" But, other than that, I love this behemoth! He's a badass even without the sound!

Jakks Pacific Legendary Godzilla 2014-2019 3 ft tall scale toy
It is a decent toy, but the drawback is it’s size and preference as to if you like large-scale or statue collectible type toys as these or not. But, overall purchase went well ( good service) and product was as described.

GEIL
Super Groß, Super Mächtig, Super schwer zu platzieren. Dieser Godzilla 2014 ist verdammt rießig. Nahezu all meine Schränke Podeste usw. mussten kapitulieren.
