This worked straight away out of the box and plugged it to the socket in the car. The menus are easy to understand and navigate. Certainly at this money it's a good device for basic checks on a car's vital signs which can help diagnose a problem and fix it before it gets more serious. My checks threw up no error codes but a real-time check of the coolant temperature showed it running a bit cooler than it should be. I suspected that as the heater was a bit hit-and-miss. So I changed the thermostat, topped up the coolant, ran it back up to the now correct temperature and the heater works as it should. In future I will run checks every so often or before a long journey to make sure everything's as it should be. It takes 5 minutes to do.

When my van went into limp mode, with engine management light on, I thought the worst. Searches for tests ranged from £25 to £100 with possible extras depending on the fault. For £20 plus £5 postage I bought the OBD 2 scanner. Easy to use and I found the problem was Diesel Particulate Filter not working corretly. After a quick google search, I found Wynns DPF cleaner. I opted for the 'gold' version. Worked like magic although the engine management light remained. Plugged the device in again and erased fault codes, and hey presto, the van is like new !! This scanner plus a little search online must have saved me a fortune in garage bills !

A bit sceptical about this because of the low price but I was amazed at how good it was and easy to use. I know people who have more expensive set ups and this little gem gives me as much info as theirs do. I would definitely recommend, if only for the heads up on your fault before taking your car to a garage where they could tell you anything.

Needed this and after looking at the reviews chose this product, have used others which were specific for the car. This appears to be generic and with an upgrade to 2 years guarantee that's a bonus. Easy to use plug and play, finds codes, view codes look up and a Web search tells you what it is, clear codes etc, engine light etc all good. Had an issue and contacted seller fantastic response to my issue and resolved without hesitation, fantastic communication and resolved, great product for finding faults etc on vehicles, Please remember this is a tool to establish faults, so you understand what they are, this is not a guarantee or a fix, if there are issues you must get them checked with a qualified garage,, but in regards to diagnostic checks yes brilliant, and far far cheaper than most, save you paying a garage to find minor faults and issues, Remember codes can be cleared this is not a fix, if they come back etc you must get them checked Would I buy, or recommend yes without doubt based on my experience and communication with this seller A+++++++

Tested with Renault Captur MK1 Pretty easy to use Plugs into the OBD port and allows for reading car error codes Fails when trying to erase error codes. I had an oil deterioration error on my Captur. I was able to find out the issue but when trying to clear the code the device failed and kept displaying an error message. This may work ok with other makes/models but doesn't work on my Captur.

I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.6 auto fitted with the infamous DSG dry clutch transmission which has had relatively minor problems over the low mileage (21000) that it has done from new. The vehicle has been serviced totally in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and has had numerous transmission programme updates throughout that mileage. Since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic this vehicle has been parked up (apart from moving it around the drive) and consequently when I came to move it last weekend the battery was flat and so had to be recharged. After recharging the battery a message appeared on the dashboard to say "Transmission Malfunction, Service now". On driving the vehicle it would not change above 3rd gear and then randomly the engine revs would suddenly rise but the vehicle still held a low gear. I could not get rid of the message and so was forced to book the vehicle in with our local ford dealers service department. I was informed that due to the pandemic they were extremely busy and they could not look at it for at least 10 days at which time I felt forced to book it in. At that point I was informed that the charge would be £168.00 for the diagnosis and then any repair costs on top of that and they would need the car for several days. After studying many web sites and seeking advice there was a common theme suggesting that a possible remedy might be obtained by correcting a poor connection on the main earth lead, and this I attended to. However the problem persisted. I then found the OBD code reader on Amazon web site at a cost of £33.50 plus postage and thought It was worth a punt. The reader was delivered the following day and within 15 minutes the fault message was deleted and a road test demonstrated that the vehicle performance "appeared" to be back to normal with a saving of at least £130.00 and no loss in the use of the vehicle. I appreciate that the reader is not intended to be seen as a professional solution but I am completely satisfied with the result so far and it has more than paid for itself with just one check. I will leave you to guess whether or not I cancelled the workshop reservation with three days notice, and would have no hesitation in recommending this product based on my admittedly limited experience in its use.

Geprobeerd op een MB W203 waarvan ik weet dat er 6 foutcodes in zitten, apparaat geeft aan dat er geen fouten zijn, dus werkt niet. Verder nog op een Volvo V50 geprobeerd die een cylinder overslaat, weer 0 foutcodes. Redelijk waardeloos voor deze 2 auto's in ieder geval dus ik stuur hem terug.

Suite au changement des bougies de préchauffage de mon Nissan qashqai de 2008, celui mettait un défaut diagnostic moteur et ne tournait plus correctement. Reset des défaut > OK, oui il efface bien les défaut. Défaut présent m'indiquant un problème sur l'injecteur 1 > effectivement , la connexion était très très légèrement déboité (1mm), je l'ai remis et hop réglé ! Payé aussi peu cher, un garage m'aurait pris 100€ ! Cerise sur le gâteau, ma Mazda 6 145Cv de 2006 à un aussi un voyant, le boitier la bien détectée, listé les erreurs, a réussi à les effacer pour ne garder que les derniers, du coup je sais aussi ce qu'est le problème sur ma seconde voiture. Pour moi parfait , simple à utiliser, efficace, et il ne vous reste plus qu'a chercher le code erreur sur internet pour connaitre le problème, génial !! A acheter les yeux fermés !!
