Great BUT
This book is missing a practice test though. They should make sample practice tests to the back. Otherwise, it's good.

An Okay Supplemental Resource
This book contains 118 pages of auditing content. The remaining pages are test taking tips and strategies. The auditing topics and content in this book align with the exam syllabus for the CIA exam Part 1. However, the content seems heavily summarized and there isn't a flow from paragraph to paragraph. This makes getting a full picture difficult. The book does a good job mixing up how the data is presented, such as bullet points, paragraphs, lists, and formula explanations. One minor annoyance is that there are spelling and grammatical errors every couple of pages. The content seems to be there, but I would use this book as a supplemental study guide and not as the only means of preparation for the CIA exam Part 1.

The surest way to fail at the CIA Exam
After reading it and making notes, I start reviewing the IIA practice exam questions, and I can say that except for the first sub-part (Independence of the Audit Department), the whole content of the book has absolutely no relevance for the questions. It is therefore the surest method to waste your time and miserably fail at the exam. What they did it copy from the standard syllabus (which is full of irrelevant theory), paste it and add their little "studying tips" which they drafted for all types of exam. So after having wasting my time and money, I moved to Gleim which gives me factual content and plenty of studying practice. Well, you get what you paid for.... although here, you still pay ยฃ 52 and get nothing in exchange.
