TREATLIFE Single Pole Smart Light Switch, Neutral Wire Required, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Light Switch, Works with Alexa and Google Home, Schedule, Remote Control

The switches i bought work great, they were easy to install...i absolutely love them...i can set schedules on the app and also works extremely well with amazon alexa...i installed 7 of these around the house and work great when i first get up in the morning...i dont have to fumble around in the dark for the light switch...A.) little light on switch is dim and bright enough to see in the dark and B.) I can turn the light on from bed with either alexa or on my phone before ever getting up...i also installed and wired my security flood light with a switch so i can turn power off to it during the day...set a chedule to turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. These work with wifi...instructions are pretty clear to install and guide you to connecting switches with wifi. I liked them so much i went ahead and bought dimmer switches for the bedrooms to work with the ceiling fans. Not necessary to use the switch plates ghat come with it...i used decorative switch plates with my switches...great feature these switches bring. I highly recommend these...theyre sleek. Took me about 10 minutes to remove old switch and install this one.

I bought this switch because I have a kitchen light that has LEDs mounted to the light fixture so I can't just change out the light bulb to make it a smart device. This switch worked perfectly to resolve my problem! I was able to setup the switch with the Smart Life app very easily. I can now use the Google Assistant to turn my kitchen lights off an on. I can also group the switch with other lights like Hue Lights that I have in other fixtures. So when I say, "Hey Google, turn on the lights in the common area" then the kitchen lights with this switch and the Hue Lights in other fixtures in the open layout also turn on. The switch still works if I don't want to use Google also. The switch also has light on it which is great for finding the switch in the dark at night. The install was pretty easy after watching the video. The load and line wires in the wall were the same color for me, so I did mix them up the first time so I switched them and then the light worked. I also had 4 neutral wires plus the neutral from the switch that needed to be twisted together. I knew this in advance so I just stopped by the hardware store and got some larger wire twist nuts which worked well. Initially one neutral wire popped out and I didn't notice it and then even though my kitchen light worked the other lights in the room did not. I got worried that I broke something but NOPE! I just retwisted all of the neutral wires together in the larger nut and everything worked perfect again. So I'm very happy and pleased that even with making two mistakes during the install nothing was ever broken permanently.

I used this to replace a timer switch that controls our outdoor Christmas lights (seen in the last picture). The instructions with this switch were very clear. I liked that they included wire labels (third picture) in the box. I didn't need them because my existing switch was already labeled with ground, neutral, load and line, so this was a direct replacement. You might want to use them if you are replacing a normal switch. I already had a couple of Tuya smart plugs, so I already had the app on my phone and it was already integrated with Alexa (SmartHome skill). Adding this new device was straight forward. The instructions were perfect. If this is your first Tuya device, it will take a bit longer to get the device and Alexa working together. Once the switch was connected to the app, all that was needed was to have Alexa scan for new devices and add the switch to a group (if desired). Some notes on installation: 1) this is a deep device so you need to be sure that you have a deep wall box behind your existing switch. Otherwise, you will have a hard time getting the wires and this device back in the box.(minus one star on the "easy to install" rating) 2) In most cases you will need larger wire nuts. The ones included will not handle more than two wires. In my case I had 2 load wires, so each of the nuts needed to hold 2 or 3 14-gauge wires *plus* the wire from the switch. Two for the line connection, but three for each of the ground, neutral and load. 3) As the box states, the device is 2.4GHz. If you are like me, my primary network is 5GHz so I had to switch my phone to the 2.4GHz network in order to set up the device. Once set up you can switch your phone back. Getting all the wires neatly back into my box took the most time, along with trying to find the proper breaker (It ended up being mislabeled) :-) . Be sure to tug on the wires coming from the switch into the wire nut to ensure that they are snug and secure before you attempt to mount the switch to your box. Also, the switch mounting holes have a built in screw retainer. You will have to either turn the screw though it or firmly press the screw through it. This is different than most standard switches. A simple Alexa routine to turn lights on/off at a specific time and this switch mimics the timer switch. However, I can now simply override if I want the lights on/off earlier or later. We like to leave them on all night Christmas Eve so Santa can find our house!

I think I've installed four of these now - three were the dimmable kind and one was regular on/off. They're easy to install and come with everything you'll need. Unlike the TP-Link switches (which are complete garbage), these actually work. Zero issues getting the app to find each switch after installation (again, unlike TP-Link junk). Wi-Fi connection has been solid since I installed them about a month ago. The app is actually pretty good too...surprising. I have all of them connected to Alexa and they work as expected. The little touch sensor strip on the front of the dimmable switches is interesting but, in practice, they're a little annoying because it means you need to make sure to touch only the bottom of the switch if you just want to turn it on without altering the level you had it set at previously - the sensor strip is very sensitive. Another minor complaint is that these don't have any kind of "slow dim" feature - when you turn them off, they're instantly off and the same goes for when you turn them on. I used to have all Insteon switches (man, I miss those) which actually let you control the rate at which the light would turn on or off. Such a cool feature! Unfortunately, I haven't found any other manufacturer supporting that feature on their switches including these TREATLIFE ones. I've tried a bunch of smart switches over the years and I'd consider this company and Feit Electric to have the best ones, currently. Both are a good deal, easy to install/setup and reliable. Just avoid TP-Link/Kasa.

Received the Bluetooth light switch. It was easy to install it only took about 10 minutes. Connected to the WiFi router and was up and running. It works fantastic.

This was my first venture with installing a smart switch in my home. I was hesitant because it seemed so much easier to install a smart light bulb or a smart outlet. That plus the fact that it wasn't totally clear to me how they operated and their price seemed a little spendy. However, I had a switch that operated a small halogen spotlight and I couldn't find a smart bulb to replace the spotlight so I decided to get a smart switch. After perusing all the smart switches I could find on Amazon and other sites, I chose the Treatlife smart switch because of the very good reviews coupled with a very attractive price. Once I received the switch and installed it, I was extremely pleased. My first concern was that since the switch was ganged up with two other switches, (with the other two switches controlling other lights), I was wondering if the new switch was the same size as the old switch or if it looked much different than the other two switches it would be next to. As it turns out, I needn't have worried at all. The switch was the exact same size so the the cover plate worked perfectly and it looked virtually identical to the other switches. The only differences were that the new switch was a rocker switch (meaning that only one side of the switch is pressed to turn it on or off) as opposed to the other switches that are paddle switches (meaning that you press one side of the switch to turn it on and the other side of the switch to turn it off). Also the new switch has a small led light that lets you know if the switch is on or off. (Note: When the led light is on, that means the switch is off - I suppose so that you could see it in the dark). Another concern was understanding how easy it would be to install the switch into the electrical box. I've done enough simple electrical work around the house to feel fairly confident about handling this. It was slightly more complicated because of the triple-gang box and all the maze of wires associated with that, but all in all, there were no surprises and I had no problems. The new smart switch was a little bigger than the old switch and I was initially concerned about it fitting in the electrical box, but it all fit in snugly with a little pressure. For those of you who haven't done any electrical work at home, you could probably follow the directions easily enough on a simple one-switch electrical box. My last concern was understanding how, exactly, the smart switch actually works. It requires you to download the Smartlife app onto your phone. Since I already had the app to control other smart lights and outlets in my home, it was simple to connect the new smart switch to the app. Holding down the rocker switch for 5 seconds caused the small light on the switch to blink red; the app on the phone was invoked and requested to add a new device which immediately recognized the new switch and registered in the app. I gave it a name: "Spot Light" - not very creative, but functional. My home is powered by Google Assistant, but I'm sure Amazon Alexa acts very similiarly, So now I can say, "Hey google, turn on the Spot light" and sure enough, the spotlight turned on and the small led light on the smart switch turned off. Conversely, I can say, "Hey google, turn off the Spot light" and sure enough, the spotlight turns off and the small led light on the smart switch turns on. But, and here's what my wife really likes, you can still just walk up to the smart smart switch and turn it on or off with your finger. Or you can turn it on with a voice command and then turn it off with your finger. or vica versa. Cool! I also added an automation routine in the Smartlife app to turn the spotlight on at sunset every night. Also cool! So, all in all, I am very pleased with this product and am planning on adding another Treatlife smart switch to control the four overhead dining room lights. Adding one smart switch would be way cheaper than adding four smart lightbulbs.

This was easy to install (and I do not have a lot of electrical experience). I was careful to get an electrical tester and I followed all the instructions and it worked with no problems. The only small set back I had was that the wires in my wall were a bit thick, so the electrical twist caps that came with the product did not fit since they were too small. However I just used the ones that were already connecting the old manual switch to the wires coming from the wall and it worked fine. The reason I bought this was because it was advertised to work with IFTTT (If This Than That). I figured I would have to use the IFTTT app on my iPhone to program the switch to do what I wanted. However IFTTT wasn't even needed! To my happy surprise, this product already had built in, programable automation from the iPhone SmartLIfe app. So now any time between 8:30 PM - 7:00AM (our 2 year old's bed time) if our 2 year old gets up and turns on the light, it notifies me on my phone (through the app or you can program it to text you I think), and then automatically sets a timer for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes is up, the light will automatically turn off. So I didn't even have to bother with IFTTT, I was able to set this all up using the SmartLIfe app. I haven't hooked this up to Alexa yet, but I'm very confident it will work with ease. This is an amazing product, that came nicely packaged, easy to follow instructions, and an app that has really had some thought put into it. I'd be happy to purchase more of these TreatLife smart switches. I think the only thing I would like to see added would be the ability to add this to the Apple's Home Kit. I would highly recommend this product.

A WiFi enabled Smart device is more reliable and makes sense if you have a reliable network. I have a Ruckus network in my home with 20+ devices attached. This device works as expected and as advertised 1. Packaging and Contents - 5 Stars - Great packaging and easy to read and understand instructions 2. Installation - I gave this 4 stars NOT because it's a problem - It's easy if you understand and are capable of installing any light switch. It's just a standard installation like any other AC outlet/switch. I suggest throwing the main breaker if you don't know what other circuits may be sharing the neutral wire in the gang box - ? - the gang box may be used as a junction for the neutral wire on another circuit and if you only throw the breaker for the switch you are replacing then another device could "backfeed" through the neutral when you go to disconnect/connect the new switch. My mistake was forgetting that I had a battery backup on a switch that tied into the same circuit so I got a shock and had to go throw the main to off. Think first before you install to be safe or get someone that has the knowledge - THIS DOES NOT reflect on the manufacture but rather is just a safety precaution - advise 3. What I like most? the led that is on when the switch is not carrying the load. I have not had this on any other switch and it is nice to be able to locate the switch in the dark. 4. Adding to the Smart Home? - Easy. I didn't read the instructions - I just started the app then held the switch for 5 secs or so until it started blinking - Added to Smart Home 5. Automating - This was my first with the Smart Home App. I installed a PIR and the switch wanting to switch the light ON when motion was detected. I selected "NIGHT" and my location so this only comes on at night. Automating the time off was a little more complicated. It took me 30 mins to figure it out without instructions - Check for PIR motion, Check if Light is On, Set Timer for Off Overall very happy with the install - I have 6 gang box so I am looking at adding more - AS an integrator, I am happy enough to use this product for clients and I would recommend it.

I'm in the process of automating my "new" home that has been out of date since about 1965, as far as light switches, lighting fixtures and wall outlets. I've had a Google Home and Nest Hub since earlier this year but this is my first attempt at integrating home automation with Google Assistant as they call it. The price is right for the TreatLife light switches so I'm hoping to convert the dozen or so upstairs light switches using TreatLife. INSTALLATION: The packaging for the light looks very stylish. Likewise the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The four wires you need to connect to make this work are very clearly marked, and it's also well explained how to identify the four wires in your electrical box and mark them using the kindly included stickers. The main technical point for most people will be identifying the line wire versus the load wire. You could use a simple electrical tester as recommended in the instructions, but I didn't have one. Instead I ended up using a multi-meter and touching the red probe to one of the black wires, then the black probe to the white neutral wire. The wire that registered 118V ended up being my line wire (the load wire measured ~500mV). According to Canadian electrical standards, my house uses an electrical box that is about 2 x 3 inches and about 2.25 inches deep. Additionally, the electrical box was attached to the stud with nails which leaves about 1.75 inches of open space (front of electrical box back to the nails). You need to insert the TreatLife wall switch in that box, along with four wire nuts and a mess of wires (see attached picture). This can be a little tricky, so you need to fold them in very carefully into every square inch of space in there. It took me about 15 minutes to reasonably accomplish that and then I relied on tightening the screws to fold them the rest of the way. I flipped the circuit breaker on and it began working immediately! One other thing I appreciated is that the switch plate is slightly larger than a standard plate. This meant that it covered up any old paint marks and I didn't have to do any repainting around the edges of the new switch. APP: The software is trivial to install onto a smart phone. It's also really easy to connect the light switch to your WiFi router, taking no longer than 2 minutes to discover a network and enter the router password. One thing to note here is that if your phone is connected to your 5 GHz router, you'll need to momentarily disconnect and reconnect your phone to the 2.4 GHz network of your router. Then, after the light switch is connected to the 2.4 GHz network and verified working, you can reconnect your phone back to your 5 GHz network and everything will continue to function as usual. The phone to switch control is nearly instantaneous, with an audible click from the light switch the second you hit that button on your phone. Well done! GOOGLE ASSISTANT: My main reason for setting up these switches is to obtain voice control, so the next step was to get Google Assistant working. This consisted of tapping the light switch device in the Smart Life app, tapping the pencil icon at the top, and then tapping the Google Assistant icon. The Smart Life app then relinquishes control to the Google Home app, which asks you for the proper permissions. After this I was a bit confused when the Google Home app threw control back to the Smart Life app because the screen just showed the Google Home icon image and nothing was happening. I waited a few minutes before concluding it was dead, so I exited the Smart Life app and reloaded it, and it said Google Assistant was linked. Not sure if this was a bug or something with my phone. I said the words, "Hey Google, turn on lights" and sure enough it worked! There is the usual slight delay as Google deciphers what you are asking it, but it definitely happens in well under a second. I ended up using the Smart Life app to change the device name from "Smart Light Switch" to "Hallway Light" so that I could identify to Google which light to control. FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall I am impressed with the stylish, simple look of the switch, the ease of installation, and its responsiveness. In the future I will try to program certain behaviors, such as timers and multiple light phrases. I was hoping that once it was installed I would be able to see and control the switch itself in the Google Home app, but that doesn't appear to be the case. There is also a gang light switch with three switches in my living room that I'm curious how that will go, as far as hardware and the light switch cover. I'm only in the first 24 hours of using it though and will update this review as I learn more.

Had purchased both the single pole and 3 pole switches. It does come with fairly easy to read instructions/installation guides as well as mounting hardware and labels for the house wiring in the install location. Like any wifi switch, the back side of the switch that houses the electronics is fairly large. So be aware that if you have a lot of electrical wiring within the box (ie lots of wires with grommets) that it will be a tight fit to get the switch to fit properly. There is an LED light on the switch that remains on constantly if the light is off. This LED is fairly bright. The version received does not allow you to dim the LED or turn it off. I have heard that there are other versions that allow you to do this but not in the ones received. It doesn't bother me any but others may find it a nuisance especially in really dark rooms. The app is pretty basic. Does take a fair amount of time to connect the switch to the app (sometimes had to wait 1 1/2 minutes for the switch to connect). I use Alexa and there were no issues linking the accounts. The only unusual thing about this switch is the colour. Yes, it's white. However, it has a slightly off white hue to it, almost pinkish in colour (not a true white). You can really see the colour differentiation when installing a standard white face plate over the switch. The enclosed face plate seems a better match if the switch is not installed in a multiple switch box. Also, be aware that some standard face plates might require very slight modification. I installed one switch in a double gang box and wanted to use the original double face plate. Because of the design of the switch, the face plate (on the back side) had a slight protrusion where the face plate screw goes. I had to file this down in order for the face plate to sit flush with this switch. Again, for me not a big issue and an easy alteration. However for others that may not be the case.

It is just as good as pricier ones, plus it uses the "Smart Life" app so you can control multiple smart devices with your phone from the same app. With the app, you can time it, or set multiple on or off schedules. For one device, I only set it to go off every night just incase someone forgets it. The switch worked first try using the app, and since the app was already connected to google home, it worked right away with my assistant. My advise is to download the app before you power up the switch, and read the short instruction book during setup, and it will be easy.

The switch was pretty easy to install and setup was a breeze as well as the integration with Google Home. The back of this switch barely fit into the box in the wall due to the size of it. It would have fit a little better if the included wires were removable and If I was able to insert the existing electrical wires directly into the switch instead of having to use the twist caps. After install the switch worked perfectly. The physical button press on the switch is much nicer then other touch sensitive wifi switches I have. I was also able to replace the face plate of the switch with a standard face plate to match the rest of my switches.
