The Windows 10 May 2019 Update adds a host of new and improved features to Microsoft’s flagship operating system―and this jargon-free guide helps you get the most out of every component. This in-depth Missing Manual covers the entire system and introduces you to the latest features in the Windows Professional, Enterprise, Education, and Home editions. You’ll learn how to take advantage of improvements to the Game Bar, Edge browser, Windows Online, smartphone features, and a lot more. Written by David Pogue―tech critic for Yahoo Finance and former columnist for The New York Times ―this updated edition illuminates its subject with technical insight, plenty of wit, and hardnosed objectivity. Review: Norm good informative book best I have seen - Norm- this book will help you find and copy files also how to create a command prompt how to do screen capture Review: Good resource for most users. - The author does a good job at providing the average reader a good overview of Windows 10. It covers all the basics and then some. The problem is trying to provide someone new to Windows enough to get started. On the other hand, more experienced users want details on more complicated tasks. This author does a good job of trying to satisfy almost everyone. I was familiar with Windows 7 and in some cases he gave me too much information about some things I knew, or did not care about. However, too much information is better than too little. In a couple of cases I wanted some more technical information. If you want a book to start your experience with Windows 10, I recommend this book.

Great Book now need his windows 11 book
This is really a great book!!! It is the only 5 star review I have ever given to a amazon item. I bought the original book and than the newest update. The author includes access to his update site which he encourages readers to use. He is knowlegible, caring and thoughtful. I now wish he would come out with a windows 11 book!

Not all that helpful
My precious Windows 7 laptop was dying and since Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7, I bit the bullet and bought a new one with Windows 10. Love the new laptop, Windows 10 not so much. The book is full of information about what Windows 10 can do but falls short in explaining EXACTLY how to do it. It does not help much with explaining how to do things that were so easy to do in Windows 7 and so maddening to figure out how to do in Windows 10. I guess I should have purchased Windows 10 for Dummies.

A must-have user guide forfully understanding Windows 10
The author of this newest entry in his ongoing "missing manual" series devoted to PC operating systems knows all about his subject and how to deal with relevant information in plain English. The full menu of features is covered along with side commentary on how to choose and use them. Important points as well as cautionary advice flows clearly and logically through some 600 pages of easy reading text accompanied by 500 illustrations. Moreover, it has additional value by including and explaining the May 2019 major updating of the operating system by Windows. Another appealing extra is the author's offer for software that can be downloaded to complement the related text.

Complete, well indexed windows 10 manual, latest version of a highly regarded book.
Encyclopedic in its detail, clearly written. Intro chapter briefly summarizes points of difference between Windows 10 and earlier versions. A complete tutorial would have been nice, but the index makes things easier. I've read only sections, but even given that, there are indications that the author finds some details of Windows 10 inscrutable or clumsy. This book is a fine new version which is virtually a classic in its topic.

Concise How-to for Windows 10
To the point. This book does not have everything but does answer a number of questions.

EXCELLENT learning tool in my book
I am new to Windows 10 and resisted it as long as possible. This book has been VERY helpful to get me up and running. Plus I have already learned additional functions I didn’t know I would love. I look forward to uncovering more as I go along. At 73 years old, this book for W10 experience has been good for my confidence and my brain, both which wane as one ages. No one cajoled me, paid me, or gave me anything free to do this review.

Should have bought this book a year ago!
Call me old school but I like manuals and this one is great, well organized, easy to read, has humour and lots of useful tips. Been struggling with Windows 10 for a year now. On line help often useless and outdated.

Brilliant book - the best Windows 10 book that I have bought by far
I am another of those who reluctantly "upgraded" from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (at great expense) and couldn't see any benefit. I bought a couple of Windows 10 books which were disappointing. Then I bought this one and I am absolutely delighted with it! It is well written, and gives answers to questions I wouldn't have thought of asking. Every time I open the book, I discover something useful, a bit more knowledge, or some trick to make life with a Windows 10 PC that little bit easier and less frustrating. I have bought plenty of books over the years for various versions of Windows, and I can honestly say this is the best one by far.
