VERY SALTY, but it's probably the norm for something like this.
It's fishy, as expected, but it is overwhelmingly salty. This is my first experience with a product like this so it may be the norm. Too salty for me and I will not purchase it again. However, this may be perfectly normal for this product so if you're into this sort of thing you might at least give it a try. It tastes good... just too salty for me.

Excellent product, well packed, fast ship. Will buy again from this source. Kalle's K is to a Swede what peanut butter is to an American. It's not only taste, it's pure nostalgia! On top of a sliced egg on toast there is nothing like it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Foul & quite disgusting. Even the cats turned up their noses! Yuck!

So good! Probably not an American taste.
This is excellent with hard boiled eggs, pickles, pumpernickel bread, cream cheese and more. But you need an educated palate to enjoy this. If you have led a sheltered culinary life I.e. steak, Potatoes, McDonalds etc....this is not for you. If you've traveled and explored other cultures and food, you'll love it. Delicious. Salty and sweet at the same time. If you don't like fish roe, do not buy. You won't like it.

Smokin' good smoked caviar
Goes really well with boiled eggs on a sandwich. Absolute must for Scandinavians around the world. With shipping the price is stunningly high, but for us living far away from Gothenburg it is sending waves of memories and the distinct saltiness is making it only mine among Americans, who seem to have a distaste for the finer things in life that does not come covered in sugar.

A taste of the ocean!
Kales caviar has been a special treat for my family for over 20 years! My youngest child ate this a a baby and still loves it today! Try it on toasted bread. Delicious!
