TYR Durafast™ Elite Solid Jammer

**Update: after having used these for a few months I would definitely recommend sticking with a little snugger size if you’re not sure if they are too tight or not. At first I thought I should maybe size up to 34 from my regular pant size of 32, but now the 32 is definitely the correct size for me. Snug but not restrictive and not sloppy loose. Otherwise color and material has been holding up wonderfully. — Just picked up a pair (added a second once I swam in them and confirmed high quality). They are a double layer of fabric so fairly thick but not in an obnoxious way. Also I’d note that they are quite tight. I wear a size 32 pant and that is what I purchased. Initially I thought about returning them and getting a 34 but after watching a few YouTube videos on putting on racing jammers and some other jammers it seems that quite tight is expected if they aren’t just cutting into you, which these aren’t. Some of the videos said to expect taking a few minutes or more to put on some of these suits! Now that’s not the case with these, just the usual pull up gently and adjust. Someone did say that due to thickness might not be appropriate for racing, but if you’re a racing competitive swimmer I’d imagine you’d already know that, who knows. As I said, I think they’re high quality and bought an extra to take advantage of an attractive price.

I purchased these and a pair of Speedo Endurance+ jammers at the same time so that I could see which one I liked better. Absolutely no question...the TYR Durafast jammers are superior in every way. The material is thicker, sturdier, slightly more stretchy (which makes donning and doffing easier), fits my body better, and I will be really surprised if they don't outlast the Speedo suit by a long shot. The only area I'm not fat, but I'm also not rail-thin. Nearly every set of pants, shorts, and jeans I own are size 32 waist. Rarely, a size 31 fits better. I found the size 32 TYR jammers to fit PERFECT, whereas the Speedo Endurance+ jammers of the same size are just a tad too small (too tight around quads and not enough length from crotch to hip). If, like me, you are debating between these TYR Durafast jammers and the competing Speedo Endurance+ jammers, be assured that the TYR suit is a better quality product and unless you are rail thin with small diameter quads, the TYR suit will probably fit better too.

I haven’t taken them out for a swim yet. Trying them on they do feel a little stiff/snug but with adequate flexibility. They feel comfortable and lightweight. Unlike other snug fitting garments these are nicely modest and provide good coverage. I like the length. Will update if swim feels off or hindered.

Weight is somewhat heavier that others, which to me is a good thing, but they are not as stretchy as some other suits. Sizing is true to the size guide and overall the fit is great. Overall a good value and good swimsuit.

Just got them. I swim a mile 3-4 times a week in a chlorinated pool. These look very well made. As mentioned, they run small. I have been using Speedo 34 Jammers for several years. Got 36 based on reviews. They are still tight around the waist, but will likely stretch with use in chlorine.

True to size, fits fine. Color is holding up with over 20 swims.

My teenage son swims year round. We go through suits pretty quickly since he is still growing. I have tried suits of all brands, including off brand ones just for cost reasons. The cheaper suits are definitely cheaper. They pill, and colors fade. They also stretch and thin out. These suits fit him well (keep that crack covered on the start block and on flip turns). They also hold up better than others. We also use speedo, arena, and dolfin brands. TYR works well for him.

Bought this tro replace my compression jammers, which may influence my experience. Reading the website they say these run true to size, but I am not sure that is true. I bought my size (34) expecting some sort of compression, but these seem to fit very loose. The material tends to be baggy (wrinkling) and when swimming the suit tends to work it's way below my knees. The waist is great but the rest of the suit feels like it is a size or 2 too large. I am going to try another duralast in a size smaller, but I would recommend trying a size or 2 down for these.

Upon arrival, I could tell that the quality was very high and definitely differed from my other pair from an Amazon brand. I usually wear pants with a waist of 30-31” but ordered a size 32 jammer. It fit perfectly, it is double lined which is also very nice. After a swim, when getting out of the water it does sometimes cling a bit awkwardly however not half as bad as my other pair from a random amazon brand, so overall I am very pleased. If you are concerned about being completely modest I would suggest wearing a swim brief under the jammer.

Colour was wrong. But size is good and as described. Material feels good
