FINGERS CROSSED !!! - i just now got my mattress, so don't have a lot to say yet (gave it 4 stars, cuz so far, so good ;) ) ... 1st, i want to acknowledge the local UPS guy - he went above & beyond! i had a path all cleared to the bedroom, expecting to be dragging the box thru, but the guy offered to bring it right in, set the box exactly so & even offered to stay & help me set it up! i said thanks but i know they're busy & was grateful he brought it all the way in for me :) ... i immediately set about to opening it so it could start expanding/airing out ... i did NOT notice any unusual odors (yet anyway) ... i did notice as i was unrolling it that it was very cool (probably a result of the vacuum packing) ... it looks almost inflated already, but i have it up on its end in the window - so the top of the mattress is getting the fresh breeze & i have 2 old fans (on their last legs, the neighbors were throwing out) blowing at what will be the bottom when i lay it down - i'm hoping all the air circulation might prevent any of the horror stories i've read about these types of mattresses :O ... it seems the bigger the mattress is, the more prone it can be to unpacking problems (mines a double/full) ... so fingers crossed that i don't experience any negative effects the way some have :/ ... the storms we were having have all blown over to Honolulu, so Hilo atm is sunny & dry & warm - optimal conditions for mattresses like this to re-inflate - + i opened it right away upon receipt, so hope that helps, too ... when i have more info, i wish to update this - until then: fingers crossed! ;) ..... ..... ..... it's only been not quite a day; mattress seems to be inflating well, tho i've noticed some lumps & bumps in the base foam only - i'm hoping that's due to the fact it hasn't yet had a chance to fully expand. i haven't sat nor laid on it yet - i want to make sure i give it at least 3 days before putting any weight on it ... ... ... ... ... today marks the 72 hrs! most of it's decompressed to about 14 1/2 ", tho some parts are still at only 13"; still some bumpiness in the base foam --- am gona give it a few more days before i sit/lay on it cuz i imagine having that much foam sucked down to a few inches & then go thru the shipping process for X amt of days is traumatic to the foam & it takes some time to recover (putting any wt on it seems like i'd just add to problems :/ but i lived w/out it this long so a few more days or so won't bother me) - still haven't noticed any unusual odors, so i think all is going as it should be, am just giving it more than the recommended 72 hrs to see if the shorter areas plump up & i think the bumpy ridges in the base are just parts that are still compressed & need to inflate - fingers crossed! lol ... UPDATE after having it out of the box a few wks now: well, i have sat on it & laid on it to check it out & it seems like it's gona be comfortable - but i still wnat to wait a while before sleeping on it every night! ... the hard lumpy bumps ARE smoothing out the more acclimated it becomes! i think it's just gona take time, after all, it was squashed/sucked flat to maybe an inch in thickness! LOL ... one end has actually expanded to a bit over 15"; the other end isn't quite 14" (so far!) but i'm _not_ complaining: it's supposed to be healthy for us to sleep w/our feet slightly elevated than the rest of our body (better heart circulation; helps dispel fluid build up in legs, feet; etc benefits you can google :) ) so i intend to make the higher end the 'foot' of the bed (tho the other end may continue decompressing & gain more height) i also am thinking: there's probably more lumpy-bumps inside the mattress that i can't see & they still need time to adjust from being a large thing, sucked into a tiny space, then needing to re-expand back to it's original size! that simply cannot happen in only a few days & i fear putting any weight on it will interfere w/this process - so i'm content to wait even a couple months before sleeping on it, & hope it doesn't ever develop problems i've read about on-line - as long as i can be patient & let it fully acclimate & decompress as much as possible after the trauma of it's compressing, i think it may be a very comfortable mattress for some years! ... the company also seems to be thoughtful & considerate. Review: 14" King. Honest Review - I never write reviews, ever, but I have to write one for this mattress. I was so skeptical at first, I'm so used to having to go lay on every mattress in every store and usually wound up paying a huge price for one. This is a firm mattress but soft, If that makes any sense. I love this mattress, this combined with a nice desertcart basic mattress pad and a heated mattress pad its like my dream mattress. If you have back issues and need a firm mattress and not something you feel like you're sinking in and curving your back they way your back dosent like. This gives great support but is so comfortable. I will admit it has only been a week or so and my old mattress is on standby in the spare bedroom. But If this has longevity I will proudly throw that Sterns and Foster to the curb. Time will tell but I hope this helps someone. Oh and, after I opened it, I let it sit for 3 days in the spare bedroom and I would peek in on it every few hours. Talk about skeptical. It is exactly 14" thick and its beautiful when fully expanded. Like I said, the only thing I worry about is 6 months from now but for what I paid, It was well worth the risk.

Shockingly Great for Price
For context: I'm 5'3 and 115 pounds, so I'm not exactly a heavy weight on the mattress, but my larger boyfriend has slept on it too and not complained. I'm also only 23, so it's not like I have serious back/neck issues and I sleep pretty well. That being said, I'd strongly recommend this for a first mattress or if you're on a budget. It does the job and feels great and actually pretty luxurious and well made for how cheap it is. Seriously, this mattress is GREAT for the price. Don't expect the designer brand of mattresses, but I find it comfortable, the right amount of firmness, and a cozy squish to it that isn't so deep I can't get out. On a tight budget, I'm really happy I can spend the $200-ish price difference to the next cheapest Tuft & Needle mattress on other things for my apartment. For those concerned about it inflating to full height/stiffness - unzip the internal mattress cover around the corners. I noticed they weren't quite squaring up while under the pressure of the cover itself. I unzipped for a few hours and they were nice and square (carefully, as I did see the label that said it has a fiberglass sock somewhere internally, but I personally had no fiberglass spillage or problems). I probably wouldn't sit on the corners of this mattress for very long (they sink a bit under upright seated weight) but I don't really sit on the edges of my bed too much anyway, so it's really not a problem. Laying down, the edges are just as comfortable as the rest of the bed. I would 10000% recommend to a friend.

Luxury Comfort and Relaxation
I bought this because people said it was too firm;but, it is softer than my Sealy pillow top. Very comfortable. My wife and I are both normal size. The mattress really does relieve my former back aches and she sleeps like a log. it is a little warm, but not hot to sleep on. I originally bought microfiber or sheets for added warmth but that made it to warm. Switched to Egyptian cotton which I think breathes better and now it is perfect. My only knock is that it really forms to your body and is harder to get out of. It kind of prevents or resists readjustment. But this is my first foam bed and for the price I would recommend it. I went to the store and tried the expensive brands and honestly can't tell you the felt any better. It reminds me of the mattresses at the last Sandals resort in Jamaica and my trip to Cancun. It is like a luxury hotel.

Matress
She is a harder matress so be aware of when purchasing. I love this matress and would buy again but you donโt sink into it like you do with others which I think is nice for my back
