EXCELLENT electric eraser, excellent seller w/ fast shipping. Highly recommended!
My experience with off-brand Chinese made products have been hit and miss... more miss than hit. However, I have to say this eraser completely exceeded my expectations. In fact, it was so good, I bought a 2nd one for my son. Originally, I was going to buy a Sakura electric eraser for about $40 as that seems to be the name brand one that many artists use. But, due to the great reviews on Amazon and the fact that this AFMAT eraser comes with two size tips and a massive number of refills, and the awesome price, I decided to give it a try. Thankfully, the eraser works flawlessly in every way. It erases cleanly. It is very easy to handle and, as long as you don't have the rubber nib too far out, you can erase precisely with the larger tip of the smaller one. In fact, it is very easy to draw with the smaller tip if you want to add highlights or draw strands of white hair by selectively erasing dark penciled areas. The eraser holds a charge for a long time and I have never had to recharge it in the middle of extended drawing sessions. The body is rather large, and the trigger is definitely sensitive. However, I got use to both aspects very quickly. With that said, I can see how if you threw this into your backpack, it may engage the trigger and drain the battery depending on how the eraser sits in your bag. The refills they give you with the eraser is great. There are SO many compared to what Sakura gives you and the quality of the eraser nibs are very good too. They don't tear the paper and just cleanly erases what you want without fuss or issues. It's also very easy to change the eraser tips and to readjust the tip as the eraser gets worn down. I bought my first one for $14.66 and the 2nd one less than a month later for $15.48. That's a freaking bargain for what you get. In fact, I'm about to buy the black version so that I can have one with the larger nib and one with the smaller nib so I don't have to switch them around. That would still cost $10 LESS than the single Sakura eraser and give me literally hundreds of eraser refills that will last for at least a couple of years.

Great addition to my art supplies. It came pre-charged so I was able to use it right away!
Great product, works as described and bonus that it has a rechargeable battery.

Essential Tool for Art Students and Precision Work ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The AFMAT electric eraser impressed me right away with its control, power, and precision. I used it throughout my university art class and it genuinely made a difference in the quality of my work. It handles charcoal, graphite, and colored pencil cleanly and lifts pigment without smudging or tearing the paper. The motor is smooth, the grip feels comfortable during longer sessions, and the included replacement erasers last a long time. What stood out most was how well it erased charcoal highlights, something that can be tough to refine with traditional erasers. It allowed me to add fine details, clean up edges, and bring depth into my drawings. This is a tool I now consider essential for sketching and detailed work. It performs far better than cheaper alternatives and feels reliable and well-built. For anyone studying art, practicing drawing, or working professionally, this electric eraser is a great investment.

pretty fabulous with usage update
I have been an interior designer for 24 years, have always done architectural plans and drawings by hand and have always had an electric eraser. And I have been through a lot of them in that time. I had to replace my original Sakura a couple of times, had a Staedler that didn't work for very long and currently use an Alvin that is on it's last legs, which is why I purchased this Afmat. I haven't used it for long but so far I am very impressed and it looks like it could be the best one yet! It is comfortable to hold and it works brilliantly right out of the box. The eraser speed is so fast that it does a particularly good job of cleanly erasing pencil lines (which is what I use it for). The only slight negative is that the activation button is very touch sensitive, almost too sensitive. But I see this as something to get used to, so not a complete negative, and that I have to be careful how to store it because it activates as it bumps into things. The eraser holder works with all of my existing refills. I have Staedler refills and Sakura refills that were always slipping down in my Staedler and Alvin erasers. The Afmat holds both sizes without issue. And I love that it comes with two extra eraser holders for each size, the first eraser that I purchased to have included these. The other unique feature I like is the cover for the eraser head. The little brush is nice but not sure what I will use it for. I have yet to try the mini erasers, having this option is a first for me but I can see so many applications for using these! The only other possible downside is that the USB cable it came with is very, very short so I am not sure where I will be able to plug it in to charge. But I'll figure it out, it's a small thing well made up for by never again having to replace batteries. A final note on why I picked this unit. Many of my other erasers had issues with the batteries leaking or getting corroded inside the battery case, and often this could not be cleaned enough to get it to continue working properly but not always. Never having to worry about this again is a huge plus. Assuming of course that the rechargeable batteries don't fail as I don't believe they are replaceable. I'm excited to get back to my drawings now with the help of my fabulous new eraser! I'll update this review if I run into any issues but I am very happy on initial tryouts. Update after using for 3 months: I don't use it continuously but often and the battery needed to be charged for the first time today. And this is where I ran into an issue. As mentioned previously, it takes a little getting used to as the eraser runs way faster than than any other brand I have used. And the side button is extremely touch sensitive and in a location where it is easy to activate by accident. But my biggest issue is that when the battery went dead it literally died from one second to the next. No slowing down the way an electric toothbrush will, no warning whatsoever, just working perfectly to dead in an instant. This is a big issue when one in in the middle of a project. Luckily my old eraser is still useable so I could continue on. But if not for that, this would have been a very annoying problem that would negatively impact my ability to continue working. For these reasons I have downgraded my review to 4 stars. And strongly recommend that if you have critical need of an eraser make sure to have a backup.

Easy to use
This is a fantastic electric eraser! It comes with enough small and large refills to last you a long time. The eraser nibs each go quite far, and i haven't had to replace the first one I've been using for almost two weeks. It takes a short time to recharge the battery, and in the last almost two week period, I just charged it for the first time 2 days ago. Very happy with this purchase!

Very Good When Used Correctly!
I absolutely love this eraser! I remember reading some bad reviews and complaints that it wouldn't erase or wouldn't erase very well. I'm thinking that it's POSSIBLE those people may not have been using it correctly. It does NOT require a lot of pressure so my advice to those people is try not press down so hard especially to the point that the motor cannot spin. All you need to do is turn it on and lightly touch the paper and move it back towards you on the paper so that you are pulling the eraser against the direction that it is spinning. It works very well if you use it correctly. As I said earlier, I love this eraser. It does an amazing job! I love being able to use two different sizes of erasers. Erasers are not only used for getting rid of mistakes. The tiny/skinny erasers are excellent for detail work especially drawing eyes or teeth. It's a very useful tool to have in your arsenal of art supplies and the capability of charging it via USB is really great and if you need to, you can use it while it is charging. So far, mine has never died on me. Bottom line.... I love it and I would recommend this eraser to anyone who loves to draw or who is learning to draw. PS- there is one minor thing I would change about it... it would be nice to have a cap that fits over the power-on button OR a switch to lock it in the off position if you plan to store it loose in a pencil bag or something. I haven't had a problem because I don't travel with it. It stays on a shelf here I can easily reach it when I'm sketching. Putting it in a pencil bag with other stuff could cause it to turn on if something presses against it. Again, very minor problem but not one that would make me return it. One can plan for it by knowing this ahead of time. It's been a HUGE timesaver.

Best thing since sliced bread for colored pencil artists!
I absolutely love this electric eraser and know I’m going to be using it a lot! If you work with colored pencils, you already know there is hardly anything on the market that actually erases them. As you can see in my picture, this doesn't completely remove every single trace, but it gets it so close that you can easily color right over the spot without a problem. It works great. I did happen to see another pencil-style eraser with rubber on the ends that is also supposed to work on colored pencils, and I'm thinking of picking that up as an extra tool (maybe even for my chalkboard), but this electric one is a total game-changer. Like I mentioned in the "what to know" comment, it works fantastically. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable to use
I first ordered this eraser for myself. After I tried it and a few friends tested it, I ended up ordering a couple as gifts. The USB charge lasts a long time. The 2 sizes of erasers fit your needs. The unit is lightweight and comfortable to use. I have trouble with my hands and this product allows me to erase easily and quickly. There are several attractive color choices. Plenty of refills are included along with a brush and wire for recharging. You will need an adapter. My cell phone adapter works perfectly. Just remember to place the unit back in its box container properly so the button isn't pressed and discharging. LOL. Lightweight and durable great take along for plein aire even with the box. Nice slim comfortable design.

Good product. Safe to purchase.
I love it, does fine detailed erasing and has a thicker one for more heavy duty erasing. Only wish I didn't have shaky hands as that sometimes makes a bit of a mess on my coloured pencil work. This is a fabulous little piece of equipment to have in your drawing arsenal.

Great eraser with dozens of replacement nibs
This thing works great! Quality is also great. Takes a bit of getting used to, it can try to run away with you. I agree with another person who wrote it needs an on/off switch. It's really handy to have two sizes of eraser nibs.. It comes with enough replacement erasers to last years. I use it for more than just erasing mistakes, there are so many embellishments you can make even on water color pieces. I highly recommend this tool I can't live without now.
