A Top Product and Useful At Night
I bought this 5 years ago and it's been pretty much on constantly since then. The red projection looks bright and is easy to read at night or even during the day. I have mine projecting on the ceiling over my bed so I just need to look up to check the time. It's not so bright that you would be awoken by it and the main clock panel also has a dimmable light (I keep it on the lowest setting most of the time.) The clock does take batteries but will only use that to run the clock during power outages (not the projection clock). After 5 years, the red LED is showing some wear but the numbers are still pretty easy to read. I prefer to secure my main clock to my nightstand with velcro and it works well to keep it from sliding. The outdoor unit is easily mounted and the batteries (I use Alkaline) last for months at a time (at least 10 months). You can mount it high under an eave or porch roof to keep the water out. Note that I did not review the alarms because I do not use them. Having the time, weather, and humidity readily available on the ceiling has saved me countless hours of frustration at waking up when it's dark and not having to get a face full of cell phone display or turn on a light to see a clock. I am not sure if this unit will last for decades but, for the money I paid and the convenience I get, it's well worth the cost.

Nice clock
I enjoy projection clocks very much. This one works very well. Very intuitive to set up and keeps excellent time. The projection is well focused and a great size, very easy to read in the dead of night. I would for sure buy this one again.

Seems to be be a good clock
Easier to set up than a couple others I've owned in the past. Good projection and display. I've only had it two days so I don't know about longevity or accuracy yet.

Great Product - Awesome Customer Support
About a decade ago we started using projection clocks and got hooked. You quickly get used to just looking up when you wake in the night and knowing what the time is. When you don't have it, you really miss it. For years we have even carried one along when we travel. The outdoor temperature sensor for my 7-year-old Smartro clock got off by 5 degrees somehow. 7 years was a good run, so we bought the latest fancy model. Unfortunately there was a problem. The display on the new clock was blurry. The old one was nice and sharp on my ceiling. There are troubleshooting instructions at the back of the manual and they say to contact customer support if your issue is not fixed. So, I did. They replied very fast and asked me to send a picture of the blurry display. As soon as I sent the picture they sent me a new clock. The second clock was PERFECT. I think that the way a company supports their product is just as important as the quality of the product. Smartro has great products and superlative support. I highly recommend choosing their products.

Small and does the job
Small, but readable display. The projection is bright enough to see even during the day. Easy setup too. I like this clock…

Easy to Set Up and Excellent Performance
These interior/exterior Projection Alarm Clock/Thermometers have a very clear display on house ceilings, with a sequential display of times/temperatures, alternating between interior and exterior temperatures on ceilings. My house has very high (13 foot) ceilings and the ceiling displays are very bright and well-focused at night. During the day, you must look at the colorful 4.5 inch LCD display on the base unit, as there is too much light to see the alternating display on the ceiling. The LCD display is identical to the photos shown in the Amazon description, with a constant display of time, interior and exterior temperatures, and interior and exterior humidity (shown in percentages). The small battery powered sensors are powered by two AA alkaline batteries and last well over a year before requiring replacement. These sensors also have a small LCD digital display that continuously shows the temperature and humidity. In my experience, the sensors have a good radio frequency range of at least a hundred and fifty feet and can penetrate multiple walls and several floors in my large Victorian house. Initial set up on the SC91 is extremely easy, as is battery replacement, with no settings lost during battery replacement. Each base unit and sensor can be individual to one of three radio frequencies. I have two units and two sensors operating on two different frequencies without difficulty or interference with each other. Reliability appears to be excellent, as I have had one of my systems operating continuously for 18 months, with no dropouts and no display degradations over time. Highly recommended!!!

Nice unit. Nice features. Indoor temp is not accurate on my unit.
This review is for the Smartro Time and Temp Projection Alarm Clock. SC91 Nice, small, compact, lightweight device. The internal battery is the small, round, lithium type. I like the internal and external temperatures. The brightness controls are good, so it won't keep you up at night. I'm not sure how the weather indicator is supposed to work. You set it to the current weather, and it magically adjusts? Based on humidity level changes, I guess. How does it know if it is cloudy? More of a gimmick, I feel. A lot of detail to cram into a 4 inch diameter screen. The overhead display is nice, but doesn't rotate 360 degrees, so if it facing your bed (on your nightstand), the overhead is sideways. Not a deal breaker for me at all - still easy to read the way it is, but if you want it directly over your head at night, you'll need it at the foot of your bed, for example. The biggest issue is the inside temperature unit is reading 10 degrees (F) lower than it should be. The outside device is fairly accurate, according to another thermometer. Humidity levels seem accurate enough. See image showing outside unit sitting next to inside unit and note differeces I contacted the company's support regarding the temperature differences. Lets see what they say. I'll be returning this unit. I'd keep it if it was accurate. No reason to live with a new item with the temperature 10 degrees off. One or two would be acceptable, as that is pretty standard for inexpensive weather gauges. Note - Amazon sent me a unit someone obviously returned (Not MFG's fault). The internal battery was activated (and working, saving previous owner's data, including the 6 AM alarm that went off when I didn't expect it to). I assume it was returned for the same reason I'll be returning this unit. What a waste of my time. Update - Contacted MFG support. They stated they are sending me another device. Very responsive. Review update - the periodic synchronization between the outside unit and main device is very bright. Actually wakes me up at night. I covered it. Otherwise happy!

Best thing ever
Love that it is on my ceiling. It has indoor and outdoor temps. I have animals that sometimes make it impossible for me to see the clock in the room.

Great Clock with Weather, Ceiling Projection and Two Alarm Settings
Great multifunction Clock. It has two alarm settings, one for weekdays and one for weekends, which I wanted. I love the weather information right there beside my bed. I doubt the weather forecast is very accurate, but having indoor temperature and humidity, as well as outdoor, is very convenient. Having these values display on the ceiling is a bonus and works well. It is rather light, thin and made of plastic, so not particularly high quality materials, and it can fall over or be pushed around. But to me the pros totally outweigh the cons. Very happy with my purchase.

Soddisfatto
