Replica is an electronic song cycle based around audio procured from TV ad compilations. These sample-based meditations are as lyrical as they are ecological, featuring re-purposed “ghost vocals” which serve as narration for Lopatin’s signature amorphous, ambient passages. Lopatin’s Juno-60 is still prominent, but Returnal's placid, synthetic surroundings are accelerated through darker, more unpredictable terrains via Lopatin's use of samplers, analog filtering, tape-op, piano, plate reverb and sub-bass. The result is a heightened sense of music as part and parcel of an overall sonic terrain. Highly recommended.
About four years ago, I would smoke weed every night after work. I'd get out my bowl, put this on and just chill. Pure magic every time. Interesting, complex, and chill album that grows on me the more I listen to it. Highly recommended.

With every album I listen to from Oneohtrix Point Never my immense amount of respect for him continues to grow. As I'll say for all his work, it might not be for everyone, however if you can enjoy abstract musical compositions then this is a must have.

I really dig this record for it's simplicity and diversity. There are some excellent pieces of music and beautiful arrangements. It seems as if the artist just decided to do his own thing in the studio and had no desire to conform to any ideas or concepts and simply created from the heart. We would have much better music if this was the norm.

Although this is one of my favourite records, the physical condition I received the record in was unacceptable. The label on the B-side of the record was almost falling off and completely bubbled up, and there was a large scuff on the B-side as well.
