Quiet nice reel, not insanely priced, they work well and are very smooth, not super heavy, I'm new to kastking but I haven't had a single issue with any of their reels great value for the money

Nice inexpensive reel. Smooth, good looking and well built. Got the 2000 model, filled it with 6lb. Mono. Paired it with an 6.6 foot ugly stik. Going to use it for stocked trout in the lakes around where I live in California’s gold country.

This is a Fantastic reel. I caught a 70lb blue cat with this reel and it had no problem reeling it in. Fought it for about 15 minutes and the drag worked great. You will not find a better reel then this at this price range. I also have a couple Cast king open face reels that I use for catfish reels and they are just as good Kast King makes awesome products that you can rely on.

I am impressed with this reel for the price point. It replaced a seldom used all plastic reel on an Ugly Stik Dockrunner. I used this mainly for bait: running a small sabiki rig, so time will tell how it holds up to saltwater. I thoroughly rinse and dry all my gear immediately after use. If the materials are as well made as they seem to be it hopefully wont be an issue. If it is, there was minimal investment here. The internals seem smooth, and this wont be getting a lot of stress on them. The overall value if certainly there on this reel, and I am impressed with Kastking so far.

I would like to say that I have been using KastKing fishing reels for over the past 3 years and it has never let me down yet. I fish these reels in saltwater and don’t take care of my gear as I should. I don’t submerge it under water but it will get splashed on constantly during daily trolling sessions. Just a quick rinse of fresh water is all I do on the reels and to my surprise it still functions as it did out of the box when new. If anyone is skeptical about the quality of these reels, check out this 8 lb. white trevally caught using a KastKing Brutus 4000 loaded with 15 lb. monofilament mated to a carbon Zeal power stik traveling rod. The carbon fiber drag system is very smooth and forgiving. If you have fished trevallys, you know these guys are very strong fighters to the end. I would definitely recommend KastKing fishing reels to anyone looking for affordable quality and reliability. I also like to brag about my $60 rod and reel combo landing bigger fish compared to my friends $300 expensive Shimano gear. Try it, it won’t let you down.

Excellent economically priced reel. Smooth, easy to adjust and feels as nice as some more expensive reels. Impressed with what you get for the money. Drag adjusts smoothly, solid feel. This is my second one, I also have a Royal Legend and it’s been great too.
