White Pony is the third album by Deftones, released in 2000. It is the follow up to Around the Fur, which was released in 1997, and marks a significant growth in the band's sound; incorporating New Wave and shoegaze influences with the alternative metal edge the group had honed and become known for. To this end, it is generally regarded by fans and critics alike as their most mature outing. The song "Passenger" features the guest vocals of Tool and A Perfect Circle vocalist Maynard James Keenan. The band won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for the song "Elite" in 2001.[1]A total of four different versions of the album exist. On its release date, limited edition copies were released with solid red and black jewel cases. The two different colored cases also featured different insert booklets. Both limited edition versions included the added track "The Boy's Republic", but did not include "Back to School (Mini Maggit)". Sounds great priced right, cover is pretty
Bought this CD for my 12 year old daughter who loves it. I'm not a fan of this type of music but I don't have to listen to it either. She's happy with it so that's all that matters. I thought the CD case/cover design was pretty cool, there were no scratches on the CD and the sound is great. Occasionally I'll let her play a couple of songs from her CD's in my car, so I can hear the sound quality. Great price too.

Great album!
One of the greatest. You might listen to better deftones' songs in other albums from their discography, but as a whole "White Pony" stands out without a doubt.

Good ...
.. clean sound. No warp. Niff said about the band. I do notice that the packaging for this was different than the Portishead Dummy I reviewed (which was warped) but I feel like that is more of a packaging/storage issue. None of that here.
