Missouri Meerschaum - Ozark Mountain Hardwood Tobacco Pipe - Oval Bowl, Straight Bit

I am surprised by how much I like this pipe. Obviously it looks good, but it's a simple easy to smoke pipe that I find myself reaching for more often than some of my other more premium/expensive pipes. That surprised me, but I just like that it's inexpensive and easy to take with me without worrying about anything more than which tobacco to use. Great looking pipe that smokes very nicely. I'll probably pick up a few more. Can't beat the value it offers.

I've bought somewhere around 50-75 of these over the years, and I have some that have many many rough years of use on them, but they just keep doing their job. This company makes the best 3-4" carry pipes for the money, and trust me I've tried them ALL, and this is the only company that's kept their standards pretty much the same over many years. Keep them cleaned out, keep the bowl scrapped and the mouth piece dry using pipe cleaners, and you can run bags of tobacco through them without issue for a long time. Plus these pipes are actually really pretty, and have a nice finish for no more than you pay. -Neptune_Labs

But this is a positive review, so I hope my "Headline" caught your attention. My pipe arrived protected in a tightly wrapped cushioned USPS mailer. Inside the normal mailer. This lightweight pipe is clean, shinny, with no discernable odor. The stem is tight, clean. and includes a removeable filter. It states on the bottom, and I have no reason to doubt, based on its appearance that it is a type of hardwood. It is a small but handsome pipe that appears to be well made and has a dignified appearance. Clean and simple. Hopefully the bowl is thick enough that my fingers won't get burned when I take an occasional toke. And I can find screens that fit properly. Kudos to whomever assembled and shipped this to me. I hope to get many years of enjoyment from it. I didn't include pictures because the one in the listing does it justice.

Pipe has a nice draw, easy to clean. Four stars due to it leaking a little between the bowl and the stem, fixed with a little tape. Also was not cured.

Nice little pipe for a smoke break. A full bowl can go 25 - 30 minutes. I've been using the included filter, does not affect the draw and prevents ash or coal from being sucked up. CON The shank and the bowl are two separate pieces. I've found that they can get a little loose and even come apart when the pipe is hot. I haven't noticed any leakage when they are loose, just a little wiggle. I just try to be gentle with the pipe and snug the shank back into the bowl when I finish a bowl. For the price, overall it is a nice little pipe. I will probably order another to use and leave at work.

Toss the filter, and smoke … like all MM pipes Itsa workhorse. If you can’t smoke this, I pity your 3-800 buk briar. Thank you for a consistent winner MM!
