Friendship Bracelets

A lot of the friendship bracelet kits in the stores right now include only a tiny pamphlet of “Instructions” with diagrams that are too tiny to see and no explanations. I wanted something that could actually teach a child how to make these. I hunted and read many reviews until I found this book, and I am not disappointed. These are real instructions. They are clear enough for beginners and easy to follow. The diagrams are nice and big, showing exactly how to tie each knot. The supplies with it are, of course, just to get you started. But embroidery thread is cheap. I bought this book and a big package of embroidery thread to make a full kit, and the combination is much more useful than all those other overpriced kits without instructions. Kids who get those other kits probably just end up stringing beads because they don't know what else to do with them. I wanted something that would really teach how to make the knotted/woven bracelets I had so much fun with when I was a kid. This book shows how to make a variety of different friendship bracelets. They are arranged with the easiest designs first, and they gradually get harder with the most complex designs at the back. The book includes a ruler on the side, so you can measure the thread, and the clip to hold it in place is useful.

My daughter got this book a week ago and has already learned all the stitches (instructions are great). She said it's an amazing book and highly recommends it.

I have purchased this book 5-6 times because I like to have back-up gifts on hand for birthday parties. I had first purchased this for my older daughters (ages 11 & 9) as an Easter gift. They love the rubber band bracelets so I wanted to find something more unique and different than what everyone else has. We made these as young girls so it was fun to gift them something from my childhood. The clip that comes with the book is handy for holding down your strings as you make the bracelet. My 9yr old wasn't as interested as my 11yr old. There is a big difference in having patience between both of them. 😊 This book is a great gift for children that like a challenge. I started making one and the directions were clear and simple. It just takes patience to actually make the bracelets.

Needed something fun and nostalgic to do this summer, so I got this. Super easy to follow instructions, great way to kill time without a screen, plus it's super cute when finished! I made matching ones for my partner and I and I plan on making more for friends. I only wish it came with a wider color range.

It was cool how it showed you how to make different types of bracelets, but the string came apart very easily when I tried to make knots.

Although the content of the book is good, the condition in which it was received was very poor. The beads and the clip were missing and the book was dog eared.

Nice book, lots of pictures and easy to follow instructions. Lots of fun for any girl who is interested in making friendship bracelets. Also a fun activity to do together with your child or your child with a friend.
