I bought this to replace another wifi stick that had come with my computer. The base unit is quite old but functions well, however lack of wifi was making my computer unusable and I need it for my small business. So, I gave in trying to make it work and bought this for the very affordable price of about 7 pounds and wow, I'm so impressed! I was a bit wary of other reviews complaining of viruses but I just used the disk included and had no issue at all. Bit confusing to set up but only because my computer didn't follow the steps it mentioned in the booklet, but not marking off any stars because I didn't exactly struggle to set it up either, my computer mostly did it for me. Now my wifi is SUPER fast and I can even watch youtube videos without buffering, my web pages load in seconds rather than minutes. Absolutely no regrets, I just hope this one lasts!

After struggling for weeks wondering why my desk top PC was slower than all my other devices I finally decided that it must be the connection. The TP link I was using was very old. I bought this one as it seemed inexpensive. My download speed has increased fourfold (confirmed by Ookla) and I no longer need to reset the router, or use Epson connect, before I use the wireless printer. Easy to install. Ignore the CD and the instructions if your OS is Windows 10. Plug in and check available WiFi connections. Mine showed my home hub and prompted the password code. Code entered and it started to work and did everything as described. I am very pleased with this purchase. I would recommend.

I routinely build & repair computers for many folks in my area. Recently one of my customers who has an older desktop tower Pc wanted to add wifi. I could've helped her out buying a regular PCIe card with wifi antennas, but the inside space of her older Pc didn't have any spare PCI slots. I had used these various Wifi adapters before on a few laptops, so figured this was the way to go to give an older desktop new powers. Was able to plug it into a spare front USB2.0 port. It has a tiny LED status light and drivers install was easy! So far the old desktop is chugging full speeds at full Dual Band 2.4GHz & 5GHz. Best part it's designed for Windows & MacOs without much finagling, although I haven't tested it on a Mac yet. I will definitely buy this version again.

I have a Lenovo laptop running Windows 10. The laptop is fitted with an internal Broadcom network adapter. Follwoing several Windows updates and it decided to randomly disconnect the wifi, requiring me to reboot my machine several times a day. This appears to be a known driver problem that neither Broadcom or Windows wish to resolve! I tried all the recommended "fixes" as found on Google but to no avail. I was getting really frustrated so decided to buy this dongle to see if it would solve my problem. IT DID! I ordered it on Prime and it arrived the following day. I plugged it in and turned on the laptop and the adapter connected immediately with no other driver installation required. I have now disabled the internal Broadcom adapter. So far it has been working perfectly and it has saved me loads of hassle for a very small price. Time will tell how long it survives but at the moment it is working extremely well. Highly recommended.

Didn't expect this to work with my 9 year old PC using windows 10. Plugged in to USB port..nothing happened except a flashing light on the dongle. Undeterred I went into network settings and next to ethernet connection was a device saying reaktek. So I tried to connect and it asked for WiFi password. Once entered the light on dongle flashed faster and hey presto I had a WiFi connection. Ethernet cable unplugged YouTube worked so fast but I now wanted to move to my son's bedroom which was far away from the router.😱 Once computer set up upstairs,powered PC on and low and behold amazing WiFi and Internet running at a great speed. I am more than delighted at how well this little piece of tech works and for the money it's exceptional.

We bought this as we moved our old desktop PC to a new room which didnt have a wired internet connection. The product was delivered next day. The mini-CD had everything we needed on it and the set up files appeared on screen in their own folder once the CD draw was closed. The instructions were very simple to follow and it took about 10 mins to get everything set up. PC is now back to full connectivity like nothing had every changed.

If like me you had an old desktop with no WiFi and didn't fancy installing a PCI card then this will fix that. Simply plug into the USB install the drivers and your on wifi... I didn't expect the earth as this is only small and when tucked in the back of a PC it's not going to the great. However it picked up my wifi and worked well, it wasn't the strongest signal or the fastest speed, but it installed with no issue on Windows 10 (used built in drivers) and connected without issue. For the money and for a quick fix, it's a great addition to your PC.

Installation was quick and seamless - disabled existing (rubbish) wifi card on my wife's Dell, ran install from CD no problems, plugged in dongle and I could see all the access points on 2.4 and 5 ghz (we have a wifi repeater so 4 points, even though SSID names the same); could connect to all easily. Seems to be working fine - works better with 2.4Ghz but OK with 5Ghz band. I'd recommend highly.
