Buy velcro stips to make these work well on your recliner
I started with 4 of these on the bottom of my new recliner which was a little too close to the ground for my big frame. When I put them on, I had 2 problems: (1) When I sat down hurriedly, the chair wanted to tip over backwards a bit. (2) If I moved the chair to clean under it, then I had to put these back on again -- always a bit of a time waster. I solved my problems by (1) I bought an extra 2 of these supports to put near the rear of my chair's foundation -- no more tip-overs; and (2) I put velcro stips on bottom of chair and inside the channel of these supports so that the supports would stay "married" to the chair. Problems over! These supports work great for when you have a recliner too low to the ground or an older person that needs a little extra help getting up.

Just what I needed.
The blocks were very easy to install, raised the recliner to a much better level for me. I am able to get in and out without having to twist around to get my feet under me. Arrived in a timely manner after ordering.

These are great but only if you can attach them to the bottom of the chair exactly as instructed.
I happen to have La-Z-Boy chairs with the attached wooden bottom to raise the chair. But actually the chair is far too low for us. So I purchased these lifts - which when attaching to the bottom of the chair, really do raise the seating wonderfully. The problem with my having La-Z-Boy is that it makes it impossible to attach the front two risers in the correct position (right at the very front of the wood) and therefore, the chair became imbalanced. You have to be able to place these exactly as they show on the instructions - two at the very front of the legs & two at the very back. They stick incredibly well & was extremely difficult for me to take them off. That's a very good thing. You won't have to worry about them falling off! Hope this info helps.

Hard plastic, poor fit to recliner base
I was looking to protect a carpet or floor from hard wear due to a recliner base. I thought I'd try these risers. However these risers are hard plastic that may have been harder on the carpet or floor than the recliner. The risers were a poor fit for my recliners anyway - the recliner was less stable when on the risers. My wife may be able to use them to elevate some garden pots, but their intended use was a washout,

Gets the job done!
I used a set of these for my LaZBoy Jasper Rocker Recliner and they work like a charm. The gentleman who installed them ended up screwing them into the base, but I have been using the recliner for nearly 5 years now and it has remained stable. The only issue is that because of the rocker feature, the chair will want to tip over forward unless it is shored up. What I do is put one of those aerobic steps (a low step stool would also work) up under the front of the chair, which accomplishes two things: prevents it from tipping and also makes it easier for me to get into the chair b/c I have short legs!

Easy rise from my recliner
it was a little tricky getting all four risers under my recliner by myself. Ended up using duct tape to hold the back ones on and trying to get the front up enough without unbalancing the chair. Was happy with success and it's so much easier getting up from my recliner.

Good, but a solution needed.
They are very easy to install and so far the tape is holding okay. The one problem I have is that when I get up from my chair the chair will go too far forward and tip me over if I am not careful. Weโre trying to come up with a solution to this problem.
