Worth the money. Sorry about my weird toes in the pictures.
About six weeks since purchasing - daily use. One toe is almost completely fungal free (but was much less infected). The other is greatly improved. You can see on the photo thereโs only a small area left, and that whole nail was fungal and discoloured. Iโve tried all sorts over 10/11 years, different creams and even prescribed medication. This has been the only thing to have ever fully worked, and itโs so simple to apply. Just painting a toenail, no plasters, scraping, filing, or soaking the nail beforehand. Touch dry within minutes. Product itself has a medicinal smell to it and paints on white. You only need a thin layer. Itโs a smallish bottle for the cost, but you donโt use much per application and it has a two year shelf life. Dries clear with a rubbery texture which feels like it might come off or is tacky. As long as itโs clear, itโs dry, not tacky, and wonโt come off. I walk 17/18000 steps a day for work, and it doesnโt rub off on my socks. Isnโt too difficult to remove - after a shower or bath is definitely easier, but unnecessary. Rubbing hard along the cuticle with my thumb Iโve found will lift it, and then it peels straight off like a layer of film. It doesnโt irritate your skin if you do get it on, but it does make it harder to peel off. I wouldnโt leave it on skin though, just in case you have a reaction. I do it at night, before I settle down. Give it a good few minutes to properly dry before putting socks on or getting into bed. Good luck, hope you get decent results too. Iโm going to continue to treat both toes at least until the bottle runs out. Iโll update if the results change.

seems to work โ no, it works! Just be patient (see update)
I am two months in to treating infected nails on my feet. I have used Ultra and the standard Excilor clear liquid. I prefer Ultra I think. Started in June this year, now mid-Aug. Bought my first bottle of this from a local pharmacy for 25 quid, whereas on Amazon it was 16! This Ultra looks a milky colour and smells of mint. When you paint it on it is white but clears to transparent as it dries. Takes c.10 mins for this. Very little tingling and generally no side effects other than 1) the infected nails brighten up and look nice and pink when you pull the coating off next day, except where there is fungus in the nail. 2) after 6 weeks I noticed that the treated nails seemed to have been thinned a bit (no filing of the nails done). I recommend putting it on quite thick since this makes it easier to pull off the next day. I started because my big toenails and the second toe on one foot were obviously infected although not to a really bad degree (like some of the photos on here!) My strategy was to treat all nails on both feet in case there was infection I could not see. No effect noticed on any of the unaffected nails after 6 weeks, so I am now concentrating on the bad three. The second toe nail came off one day when removing the Excilor coating and is regrowing from the bottom out. The big toenails appear to be growing on and slowly the yellow section can be clipped off, leaving healthy pink looking nail behind. I have not come to the end of the treatment, since neither 3 months have passed nor has the yellowed parts of the nails fully grown out. Therefore I cannot offer an opinion whether this stuff "works" in the absolute sense, all I can say at the mo is that it is doing what the manufacturer says to expect and it looks like progress. I expect to continue for at least another month. I have also tried the standard clear liquid version which seems to be presented as implicitly weaker than Ultra and requires two applications a day. No coating to peal off. You can either paint it on thinly (recommended) or flooded on allowing the liquid to gather at the edges and under the top of the nail. This seems a desirable thing and that is why I got it. However a possible side effect of this method is that it irritated the skin around the nails and made it quite tender. Since the fungal spores could easily be hiding there, this is not necessarily a bad thing. But my toes did become quite sore and so I stopped doing this. They recovered quite quickly. I'll update this in a month or two. UPDATE: It's now early March of the following year. My toenails look pretty healthy and the infected sections are almost completely grown out. Last year I carried on putting on the Ultra everyday up until some time in November โ that meant buying a second bottle. I stopped because I got bored with doing the application every day (and busy a work). Then I just kind of forgot about them... Very occasionally I used some of the clear liquid version to soak up under each infected nail, but this was not a regular thing. Then I really forgot about it all, until the last week or so when I noticed my toes again. I am really pleased to see how the formerly partially detached nails are reattached. On one side about 30% of the nail was detached like this. Now there remains a relatively narrow white line of previously infected nail still to grow out on each toe, but I expect this to be gone soon enough. I think leaving my toes alone was an important part of allowing the nail to reattach. Poking and pulling at them was inhibiting the regrowth process. Also, the Ultra (latex) one makes the surface of the nail look a bit rough and raggedy during treatment, with the constant putting on and pulling off of the latex-based treatment. I am pleased to see that is growing out too, being replaced by normal shiny healthy looking nail surface. I am very pleased, especially given the really gloomy prognosis given on medical websites for clearing fungal nail infections. Good job, Excilor!

A year later - did not work for me
The reason I brought this was to treat a particularly bad case on one toe that keeps re-infecting other nails. While the other nails will respond well to products such as tea-tree oil or other treatments, this one nail is not improving. I was led by the ULTRA Extra strong claims. However, like some of the other reviews have mentioned, the process relies on a flat/even nail to work which nails badly infected are NOT. Still I gave it a go for a year! What a faff! The varnish takes an age to dry and is very very difficult to remove after 24 hours. I would soak them every night then scrap with a towel in the hope this was taking the coating off, then re-apply. However a year later there was been no improvement whatsoever. I am sure this product would work well on nails that have STARTED to be come infected, but does not work on those that have been infected for some time.

Think itโs working well, visible improvements
Did a really good job to start and is cleaning my nails up nicely. Just has been two weeks and the improvements seem to have stopped, might just be doing something concealed just canโt tell at mo. Bit difficult to โpeelโ off unless you literally paint/soak your nail in it. Normally just get in bath and is easier to remove

This stuff works! Patience and dedication are the key.
I have suffered with two heavily infected fungal toenails for almost 20 years (left little toe and the one next to it), that would spread to the surrounding skin causing recurring athlete's foot that I would treat, it would clear, and then come back, with the nails as the source of reinfection. The nails would become very thick and brittle, splitting right down the centre the whole length of the nail over the nail bed causing bleeding and pain. I tried products prescribed by the GP that you paint on and then file down after a week for a six month period. Didn't even touch the infection. I tried a range of other Excilor products. None of them worked, either. In pure desperation, I ended up buying this. The instructions say to use it for a month, but if you have a heavy infection, it is going to take MUCH longer. I have been using it for 8 months now, and one nail is clear: it went a bit strange and then completely came off. I kept treating the area, and it grew back healthy! I'm onto my second bottle (the original hadn't finished, but it becomes less effective and takes longer to dry with time). My little toenail split and fell off a couple of weeks ago. It takes ages to grow back, so I'm hoping it is going to come back healthy. I will keep treating until this bottle runs out. It is easy to use - have a shower, dry your feet, paint it on and let it dry. The following day, peel it off in the shower (it peels of very easily in warm water) and repeat the treatment. You MUST, however, remember to use it every day because this stuff is not fungicidal - it just stops it growing and the infection is displaced by new nail growth (unless the infected nail simply drops off like mine did). When you forget the treatment, the fungus will recover.

It's too soon to tell
I've only been using this a few days so I don't yet know how effective it is. If I remember, I'll update in a couple of months when I should have a lot more to say. Note that this stuff is easy to apply. It's like a watery white nail varnish. It smells sort of salty and minty, unpleasant but not terribly so. Once dry it's shiny, transparent, and a bit sticky - fluff from your socks will stick to it. It's a pain to get off, unless you do it straight after a bath or shower. It doesn't peel off in one nice piece, but lots of little bits. A nail file can be handy to help you peel it off. When I apply it, I paint it over the skin around the nail, which makes it a little easier to pull off. One last tip. There's no point killing off the fungus on your toe nails if you're then going to put your feet into shoes full of fungus. Buy an anti-fungal shoe spray, and spray your shoes or slippers every time you take them off. You can get the spray from Amazon. Fingers crossed all this faff is worth it, and my horrible toes return to normal... UPDATE It is MUCH easier to remove if you have just had a bath / shower, or you soak your feet in hot water for a couple of minutes. If you don't do this, it's a big faff scraping it off with a nail file. If you don't have time to do your toes straight after your shower, buy a cheap washing up bowl and soak your feet later when it's more convenient. UPDATE I have been using this stuff for 3 weeks now, and I can already see healthy nail growth at the cuticle! It's all pink and normal looking! It will take a long time for the nail to grow all the way out, so I'll keep using this stuff for ages, but I am really pleased that there are already signs of progress. Yey!

Soak your feet in soapy water for 20 mins and it will scrape off
Only been using this for a week and can see some improvement already. I've been using the most expensive one on and off for 20 years and think this is much better. Only time will tell. It does take a very long time to get rid of nail fungus , be warned and don't give up. As soon as you do it gets worse

Bit faffy!
Not convenient to use, having to peel off, sticky and waiting to dry. Not sure if itโs a good product, didnโt want to continue with it sorry
