How far into the future is the expiration date?

Dulce de Leche will go hard (sort of crystalize) before it spoils so all you need to do is stick it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it back up again. You do have to refrigerate it after it's been opened, but it has a very long shelf life. I've never seen mold or anything like it growing in it so I think you'll be OK for a year or so. Date your tub when you open it and pitch it in a year if it hasn't been all eaten. I love it on bananas and look up Choco-torata on YouTube. Great stuff!
