does it retain its shape or flatten out

My spouse and I have two each: One for our cars and one for our main sitting chairs. We weigh 175 and 140. Have had a pr. for almost a year and were so happy bought 2nd pr. They have retained their shape remarkably. We take them on airplanes and actually fold in half briefly when getting off plane. They pop back into shape. Incredible pain relieving product for a fabulous price.

Has anyone had issues with the cushion sliding, and if so, how did you correct it?

The cover has changed. I bought this cushion in 2014 and loved it. At that time, the bottom part of the cover was made of a different non-sliding material, and it stayed put. Bought another one in 2018 to find that they changed the cover to be velvet all over, and it slides terribly (say, on a finished wooden chair), won't stay in place. Moreover, after using it on a cloth office chair, the cover became misaligned around the cushion very quickly, in a matter of days. The cushion is comfortable (for me, at least), but I wish they'd return to the original cover. Looking at some of the competitors now.

How does this hold up for a person with tailbone pain?

This made a huge difference for me in terms of pain from sitting for long periods of time. I've had it in my office chair, and it held up for about 8 months before losing its "cushy-ness". At $39, it was worth $5/month to be largely pain-free at work. I'm getting another one.
