I bought a new home on several acres that had Ring cameras installed at the doors, so I bought a couple more cameras with the intention of placing them in the backyard for additional security, and the occasional wildlife amusement (by the way, Ring sucks as security cameras, don't buy those for anything beyond a doorbell!). I immediately found the camera barely functioned at my fireplace deep in the backyard, so I bought 3 different "MIMO" "Dual Band" supposedly high gain antennas hoping to pump up the volume deep in my yard. I meticulously tried all three with the same very fast Netgear R6700 AC1750 router that has 3-antenna MIMO and is dual band. I get 50-60Mbps in my house, even floors away, but still the Ring camera struggled out back (maybe 40 yards back), and I intended to go MUCH deeper than that later. Since I was only getting 18-24Mbps out there I thought at least one of these antennas would make a big difference. Spoiler alert--WRONG. I have attached my results table as a photo, since this unformatted table is hard to read, but: Router Antenna Band Download (Mbps) Upload (Mbps) Ping (ms) Jitter (ms) Location Netgear R6700 Bingfu 2.4 GHz 16 11 10 3 Attic Netgear R6700 Techtoo 2.4 GHz 37 16 8 1 Attic Netgear R6700 Techtoo 5 GHz 228 80 8 1 Attic Netgear R6700 Eightwood 2.4 GHz 12 5 25 122 Attic Netgear R6700 Stock 2.4 GHz 24 18 10 45 Attic Netgear R6700 Stock 5 GHz 263 134 8 1 Attic Verizon Home internal 2.4 GHz 29 6 10 3 1st Floor Punchline: The Bingfu and Eightwood antennas were worse than the Netgear stock antennas. 2nd Punchline: The (huge) Techtoo antennas are the best choice of these three, and the download performance in this case was slightly better than the stock antennas at 2.4GHz, and while they worked great at 5 GHz, the stock ones were much faster. The other two antennas didn't even show up at 5GHz :) Note that this testing was done on my Samsung Galaxy S9+, standing in the same spot, the same way, in front of the Ring camera. Note I'll be returning the Ring cameras, they are just terrible security cameras in every conceivable way, and the final kicker here is that they don't even support 5 GHz Wifi!! They are a slick concept, with an uber-friendly interface...but they just don't work well. I'll be continuing my search for a more directional, higher gain antenna that I can point at the back yard and reach further, faster, but none of these three are it. If you need replacement antennas, of these three buy the Techtoo, they are great, just no better than stock. works great! i was able to put the antenna in a position where i could get a better signal to the receiver.

Both antennas were WAY worse than the stock 5dbi antenna on my remote bird feeder camera. Barely made a connection no matter where I put them or in what orientation, even in the same exact place as the old antenna. Old antenna connects just fine, just not well enough for hd video, these antennas, mostly did not connect at all despite 20 mins of attempts and reboots and placements. Absolute garbage and a waster to time and money.

I use this antenna to extend the range on the wireless backup camera that I have on my box truck. Make sure that your unit has a mini coaxal port.

This works great !!! I connected it easily to my Bose radio. Excellent connectivity. Four times longer cable length than I needed. Decent magnetic strength (above average). Perfect fit installation. (I just hand tight for now.) Seems to be wind resistant compact design. Stronger signal for the FM and now, I received AM frequency which I never achieved before. (Without this antenna.) I am a very happy customer. Proud to be able to listen to my radio in complete comfort. Excellent value for the money. Comes with an adapter kit which is advertised in the listing which could be a savings if not bought separately. Highly convenient for me to connect the antenna for different radios, later in the future. Proud owner , thank you
