Why does this smell like oranges and not grapefruit??

Essential oils are not artificial scents or juice. They aren't made to mimic what you'd expect to smell (the juice), like candy is. They're extracted from the plant, which means they'll smell like whatever part of the plant they're taken from. I've personally used 3 or 4 bottles of grapefruit over the last few years, and while they've always got a citrusy smell, they've never smelled like the actual fruit (though that would be yummy).

Is this colorless? I'm looking for a colorless non staining grapefruit essential oil.

None of DōTERRA’s oils stain.

How do you dispense this?

The top of the bottle has its own built in dispenser, allowing one drop to come out at a time. The Grapefruit oil is not as thick as some others so the drops come out quicker than others like vetiver, for example.
