RB3025 Classic Mirrored Aviator Sunglasses

Part 2 of Chuck's Review. "Chuck says don't Chuck these Ray-Ban Sunglasses." September 9, 2015. Often reviews of a particular product are written by consumers who may not have all the facts, or all the complete facts are unclear, or a different set of facts apply to different models of a product manufactured by a particular company, e.g., Ray-Ban. I believe one reviewer was attempting to write an honest review. However, the reviewer also stated that a particular pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses, by an unidentified vendor, were a scam and a copy of the original Ray-Ban Sunglasses. I took the reviewer's comments seriously. I was ready to return the Ray-Ban RB3025 112/17 Blue Lens (mirror) Aviator Sunglasses to Amazon. However, I had time to find out whether specific allegations made by the reviewer were accurate or not. Or, I had time to "sift the sense from the non-sense." I provide the following comments based on spending a little more money and purchasing several Ray-Ban Sunglasses from an authorized dealer, e.g., Amazon. I provide my recommendation on purchasing your Ray-Bans. Here is what I discovered: - The Right Sunglasses side arms (that go on your ears)= all side arms I have on each pair of authentic Ray-Ban Sunglasses have a letter (A,K,L,R...) before "CE" ?= this is correct in all Ray-Ban Sunglasses I have received. - Where is the etching "RB" located on Aviators? Is the etching RB on the inside or outside of the left eyepiece (left eyepiece is defined as when the person is wearing the "shades."). Result= In 3 pairs of Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses I own, the etched RB, is located by the left side of the Sunglasses hinge . In the 3 pair of Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses, all of the etchings are located or etched on the outside of the left Sunglasses eyepiece. However, in contrast, on a different pair of Ray-Ban's I purchased last January 2015, there was a different etching result. I purchased a completely different Ran-Ban Sunglasses style. Ray Ban placed the RB etching in a different location. For example, on the non-Aviator style of Ray-Ban Sunglasses, those different style of Ray-Bans etched the correct "RB" etching on the inside of the left eyepiece lens and further down away from the left side hinge. Yet, the different style Ray-Ban Sunglasses were authentic. Based on the foregoing, I provide my opinion. Caveat: I'm not an expert. Just a regular Joe. Conclusion: whether the etching is on the inside or outside of the left Sun-glass eyepiece is probably based on the specific Ray-Ban model, the series of numbering, when the Sunglasses were manufactured by Ray-Ban, and who is on the Ray-Ban assembly line at the particular time of production. More importantly is how the RB etching appears and looks. That is another way to tell if the Ray-Bans are authentic. You can find out what I'm talking about by going to YouTube video reviews. The reviewer stated that on the left side Sunglasses sidearm, the inscription of "RB 3025" never should have a space gap between RB and 3025 (for example). Conclusion: this is completely untrue. For example, on two official Ray-Ban Sunglasses I purchased from an official Ray-Ban authorized dealer, there are two Ray-Ban Sunglasses that have a space between the RB and the numbers 3025. In contrast, on another pair of official Ray-Ban Sunglasses I purchased, that is a different model, a different Aviator style/series, and different size-- there is no space gap between the RB and the respective number sequence. Therefore, I believe Ray-Ban changes up the number spacing, etchings on the inside or outside of the glass lens, and other minor changes to insure that those trying to copy their official Sunglasses are thrown off by the various changes. Makes sense to me. In brief. The Ray Ban Sunglasses I have are authentic but the reviewers comments on why they may be fake Ray-Bans are incorrect. I hope this information will provide you with piece of mind. My recommendation= save up a few more Benjamin's, and buy from an official authorized dealer like Amazon. Best wishes. I researched the vendor and most of the customers appear happy with their purchase. I appreciate Contessa's review, but after reading how to detect a fake vs. a real pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses, I noticed the following other factors were missing from the referenced review. YouTube reviewers mentioned additional things to look for regarding authenticy of Ray-Ban Sunglasses: -"RB" on opposite frame that has triangle on "R" and doesn't scratch off. -Has letter (A,K,L,R...) before "CE" -Paint on inside doesn't scratch off -Case is good quality and not flimsy. -Box has square bar code -Sometime comes with product manual -Cloth and warranty are of good quality materials Other reviewers noted differences in Fake vs. Real Ray Bans, e.g. - Nose pads must be curved and aligned to the glass frames; - RB Logo on Left eye frame (when looking at the Sunglasses while held in your hand) is bright with a small gap under the upper B or Ray Ban; - The box the Ray Ban's came in, i.e., finish, sticker, etc; - Shape of the aviator eyepiece= more elongated than round; - Printing on the temples= clear and sharp, neat, and letters are straight; -Where the etching is located by the hinge? Note: I still have to find out if the etching is inside or outside, but my Ray Bans have the right style with a triangle by the R, and by the hinge; -What the booklets look like. Summary: Based on 5 or 6 YouTube Reviews, I conclude the Ray Ban 112-17 Gold Frame Blue Mirror Lens Aviator 58 mm, sold by Abrahamconley appear authentic. Regards, CW

I purchased this set of sunglasses for my birthday and I use them all the time. Overall, my experience with the sunglasses has been great, but the lens cleaner could be improved. Who is the product made for? The Original Ray Ban Aviator’s are perfect for someone who wants luxury sunglasses, for a fraction of the cost. Evaluation Criteria I based my purchase decision and the Amazon purchase based on the quality of the product. 1. Cost- I wanted to spend less than $100. Spending more than that would have been too much for me. 2. Durability- I wanted to be sure that I could wear these sunglasses and not have to worry that if I dropped them, would they break or would the lenses scratch? 3. Shipping- Since it was a birthday present, I wanted to make sure that I got it in a timely manner. I was looking for the fastest shipping date. Overall Assessment In general, I have been very pleased with my Original Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses RB3025 112-17 Matte Gold Frame Blue Mirror Lenses. When I opened the box, I was anxious and excited to see that they were real Ray Bans. I had done so much research on them that I knew these were the right pair for me. In order for me to get the best pair of Ray Ban’s for my liking, I researched them for almost two weeks. This pair was priced the most reasonable and came with all of the supplies that comes with a set of Ray Bans. In my package, I received a lens cleaner, a protective case, and the booklet. While I use the sunglasses, I notice that they get smeared very easily. To make sure this doesn’t happen, I have to carefully hold the edges, as well as the temple. In addition, I am unable to put the sunglasses on my head without them getting tangled in my hair. The product may not be perfect, but I would purchase the Original Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses RB3025 112-17 Matte Gold Frame Blue Mirror Lenses all over again.

Don't listen to reviews of those who are saying these frames are fake because they are 100% REAL. I have several pairs of Aviators that I purchased from either Ray Ban directly, Nordstrom & Bloomingdales and in comparing these to the authentic ones I have, they passed the test! Here are several things to look for with regard to authenticity: 1) there is an RB lightly etched in the middle corner of the right lens near the screw that holds the temple (look closely you'll see it) 2) the style and size of the frames is etched inside of the top cross bar above the curved bridge piece 3) the RB style number along with frame size of the lens, bridge & temple it etched on the inside of the left temple & finally, the signature Ray Ban stamp appears in the top corner of the left lens. The frames are a great price! A steal in fact in comparison to the $165 and above I paid for all of my other ones. I'm thinking that because this pink flash style seemingly is being phased out as most of the high end department stores no longer carry this particular color, they're being offered online for a great price. My mom has been so complimentary of my frames that I purchased these for her for Christmas. She's going to love them!! Get them before they're gone.....

These Ray-Ban RB3025 Classic Aviator sunglasses are simply awesome. The design is timeless, and they suit any style perfectly. You can immediately feel the quality of the materials; the lenses are clear and offer great sun protection. Additionally, they’re comfortable to wear all day without feeling heavy. Perfect for both casual and slightly more formal looks. I definitely recommend them!

This is definitely a scam. Very very very very good fakes. I paid attention to every little detail and it even fooled some people that work at a sunglass store. But I got a second and third opinion and they were surprised by what good of fakes these were. First of all the clear coat over the back of the arms that rests on your ears is a different shape from the real Ray-Bans. Look it up online to identify what I am talking about. The plastic part goes out to the right a little too much. Also, the etched RB that this company claims to have on the sunglasses is not etched correctly. Go to any store and compare them and you will see that the RB is eched on the inside of the lens not on the outside of the lens. You shouldn't even be able to feel it if they are real. We paid close attention to the shade of the blue and it is different from the real RayBans. The gold frame is lighter than the real pair and the writing on the side should have a space between the RB and the 3025. It should not read RB3025 which this fake pair does. Real Ray Bans have a different font and are more legible because it is written bigger and the code should read RB 3025 with a SPACE between. Very minor things to look out for. Don't let them get passed you. Pay close attention to the details because they're very hard to notice. They really have a lot of people fooled. The employees and I dissected these sunglasses and the shape of the lens is also very slightly different. Also, in department stores like Nordstrom and all the other places that sell the real product you shouldn't receive a fake tag. Normally it just comes in the box and the box has a bar code label attached on the side of the silver RayBan box. On this package, it is sealed very well on bubble wrap and labeled with a bar code over the bubble wrap instead and the label is most definitely not made by RayBan. Just so everyone is aware you can pay a small fee to get those made to make your business look legitimate. Also, they're so slick that they also customized a sticker to fake their authenticity because things like that fool a lot of people. The sticker reads that if the box or sticker appears unopened, it is because the package was opened during shipment. Trying, of course, to impersonate a legitimate and trustworthy business and trying make it seem like they're looking out, but really if they were then they would have delivered the real deal. This is not a reliable company at all and it's actually a huge deal because they are claiming to be something they are not. Last but not least, the one thing that got me up to go check a second and third time is on the clear part that sits over the nose the RB logo is not supposed to be the same on both nose pieces. One is supposed to be upside down and the other is supposed to sit forward so that it is legible. It's just something that you have to pay attention to because RayBans rarely have manufacture issues. These are definitely definitely definitely fake. Very good ones. But still fake. Stay far away from these sellers. They're nothing but a scam. Wonder if they know it's illegal? ? ?

Muy buenos lentes, calidad esperada de Ray-Ban. El color es un poco más morado que como muestra la foto, pero me gustaron más así. El puente de mi nariz es bastante pequeño y lo que me gustó de estos lentes es que los soportes de plaquetas se pueden ajustar muy fácilmente para acomodarse a cualquier tipo de nariz. Las patas de los lentes a primera vista se ven algo frágiles, pero son de muy buena calidad. Compré el tamaño estándar (58 mm) y quedaron muy bien. Totalmente originales, vienen con su estuche, paño para limpiar y folletos. Hechos en Italia. Los recomiendo.

Got what was expected

Diese Aviator Sonnenbrille zählt aus meiner Sicht bereits zu den Klassikern. Dies ist meine zweite dieser Art, ich besitze noch eine mit schwarz lackierten Gestell und grünen Gläsern. Was auf dem Bild des Verkäufers aus meiner Sicht nicht so klar hervorgeht ist, dass dieser Typ mit silbernen bzw. chromfarbigen Gestell die Gläser etwas verspiegelt sind. Das ist eigentlich nicht ganz mein Geschmack, aber irgendwie akzeptiere ich das bei dieser Brille und trage sie zurzeit -es ist ja schließlich Sommer-täglich.
