Van Ness 50-Pound Food Container with Fresh-Tite Seal and Wheels

This 50 pound container was the perfect size/shape dog food container for us. We had about a half of a bag in the container already and it swallowed up another 30lb bag with ease and room to spare. The width of the product makes pouring a bag of food in very quick and easy (no spills) and the extra space means I don't have to either wait till it's totally empty to fill it up or have an extra partial bag of food sitting aroung. The wheels work great and my wife never has to pick it up (with 40+ pounds of food in it) as it easily rolls in and out of where we keep it in our pantry. Other products were too tall to fit where we wanted, didn't hold enough food or didn't have wheels. The lid and body feel plenty sturdy enough and I think we'll get a lot of use out of it. Save yourself the trouble of shopping and order this container. My wife and I went to Petsmart and Petco and came home empty handed before finding this perfect container.

My dog is an expert at sniffing out food, so I was looking for a way to keep his food sealed but close by. This works great, and fits a 40 lb bag of food with plenty of space left, so it could likely fit a 50 lb bag. The wheels work well too. The plastic around the wheels does come up into the container so it's difficult to scoop food from around it at the bottom, but at that point I just dump it out. Definitely recommend it. Update: we moved and now keep it outside. We had a massive all day rain storm and everything outside got completely soaked. I checked the food afterwards and it was still dry. It really held up!

The first one I got was busted in multiple locations (wheel areas, and the part where it locks) submitted claim and got sent a new one within the hour and recived the next day. It definitely works and moves around wonderfully. The plastic could stand to be made a little thicker so that it is a little more durable but over all I like it and is worth it.

I bought it to keep dry dog food in and this sucker is big enough to hold an entire big old bag of food. I love that. I had a smaller one previously but my dog eventually broke into it. I think this one will be large enough that he doesn't do that with it. I am glad to have one that accommodates more than one bag of food when the deliveries of Wag get a little close together and I need to store more than 24 pounds at a time. And I hope my big boy (119 pounds of him) doesn't manhandle this one, LOL!

The last purchase of this container sat out on a covered patio in New Mexico for about 2 1/2 years. It became brittle and started cracking and breaking apart. However, the wheels remained intact, and the lid remained good keeping out moisture and bugs. After looking at other bins with exposed wheels that can easily break off and other issues, I decided to repurchase the Van Ness. (Besides Rufus recommended it over the others I was looking at :)

We bought this pet food container to store cat kibble in. We've had it for nearly a year with no issues. The food stays fresh, the locking mechanism is still intact / works and it is easy to maneuver and move if needed. Sometimes our 12lb cat jumps onto the lid as he runs around with zoomies and the container is still working just fine. Highly recommended! We will be purchasing another one soon for dog food when we welcome a new dog into our family. Van Ness products do not disappoint - the quality is always excellent!

We bought 2 of these containers, one for bird seed and one for dry cat food and we couldn't be more pleased! The wheels are already on the containers so there's no "futzing" with having to insert them, and they roll and move smoothly and easily. The cover seals securely and the contents of the container is easy to access. Now, instead of having multiple bags of seed and cat food taking up alot of space this attractive and convenient container is a great problem saver that keeps everything fresh and secure. And the 50lb capacity allows us to mix bag flavors together.

My old container was cracked on the bottom and leaking dog food bits. This one arrived without any issues or damage. The wheels make it easy to roll in and out of my storage space. The lid locks shut, so my Great Pyrenees can't lift the lid with their noses. And it holds two 30 pound bags of dog food at a time for me.

It like that it is semi-transparent, the wheels are great and the volume seems bigger. Don't think the container is air tight, but once it is filled up, the cover does click shut. I buy 25Kg bags of cracked corn to feed ducks and there is lots of room left over. And the corn is pretty fine. Hope everything holds up for at least a few years.

We have a puppy and with him we bought a 20 kilo bag of puppy food. As soon as we came home the puppy tore a hole in the bottom of the food bag! The bag was taken up-stairs away from temptation but the smell was awful. So we chose a Van Ness Pet Food Storage Container 50ib/22.7Kg. Perfect. problem solved, this has wheels for easy access and for cleaning behind too. The lid has a rubber seal which prevents the smell of puppy food permeating the house. The size is just right, we also store puppy treats as there is plenty of room. We agree with other reviewers, this bin is overpriced for a molded plastic product but it does the job and there is nothing else available that is as good.

Es muy resistente y le cabe mas de 22 kg. Lo llené con un costal de 25kg. y cupo sin ningun problema. Trae rueditas lo que lo hace mas práctico. Y si como varias reseñas lo señalan no cierra herméticamente pero cumple perfectamente su función y cierra muy bien. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Living in a small apartment I couldn’t get away from the fish kibble smell — once I got this and put the kibble bag in here, it has been odour-free around my place. The wheels are awesome and make it convenient to pull in and out of the closet where I have it stored. 10/10 no notes
