Cell towers | Smart meters | WiFi signal strength meter | Microwave ovens | Power lines | Transformers | Home appliances | Outlet Boxes | Paranormal.Note :1. To measure RF from the router, the operation mode of the meter needs to be in RF mode. We can achieve it by pressing the mode button. 2. The LCD back light can be turned on/off manually by pushing the 2nd button to get into the Hold mode first then toggle the 1st button to cycle through the sound-on/light-off, sound-on/ light-on, sound-off/light-off, and sound-off/light-on setup, then push the 2nd button to get out of the Hold mode. The LCD back light consumes a lot of battery current when it is on, therefore the default is auto back light off after 10 seconds to save the battery power. Review: Cornet ED-78S Electrosmog meter - Cornet ED-78S Electrosmog meter - excellent device for measuring electro-pollution. I suggest you have a good amount of knowledge on EMFs, before attempting to buy and use this. There are tons of books, online articles and videos by EMF experts. This device measures in the RF range of 100 MHz to 8 GHz (0.5 uw/m2 to 1.8 w/m2), and in the LF range of 0.1 mG to 600 mG (0.01 uT to 60 uT). There are two LF modes, one from 0.1 uT to 60 uT and the other from 0.01 uT to 1 uT for greater sensitivity. Do not block the sensors when making your measurements, the RF sensor is on the left and the LF is on the top right side. When measuring RFs, hold it vertically. When measuring LFs, hold it horizontally. However, you still need to measure all around the source for the average and maximum readings. The histogram is great for visualization of the frequencies. There is a sound mode as well so you can "hear" the frequencies. The maximum measurement is good for short, pulsed digital signals for which you need to measure the source for several minutes, i.e. smart meters. The average measurement will give you a good indication of what sources you should be avoiding or removing, although all man-made EMFs should ideally be avoided. The green, yellow and red LEDs give you a quick idea of danger when not looking at the LCD screen, it's especially useful when you are holding the device with your outstretched arm to measure a source and you can't see the screen. There are no safe levels of man-made EMFs, but according to the BioInitiative Report, it says that 0.003 mW/m2 or less for RFs and 1 mG or less for ELFs is considered safe. Nonetheless, do the best you can to remediate the environments you spend most of your time in. Review: Smart Meter and Wifi are all manageble but you don't ... - I used this yesterday after receiving it all over my house and equipment and gained incredible incite into what kind of RF radiation I might be exposed to. I watched a youtube video where it was explained that you should sleep in an RF environment registering less than .01 and function in the daytime in an environment of less than .1. With that as my reference, I was able to determine alot. Mobile Phone, Smart Meter and Wifi are all manageble but you don't want yourself or your children near them for any considerable length of time. On a positive note, I discovered that my overall living environment appears to be in the safe zone. Super helpful and I'll be keeping it to check level periodically. I only gave it 4 stars because these are non-professional grade meters but they are very good - but they should come with more instruction and guidance on what to look for. More of a users guide which includes descriptions of what are internationally accepted healthy levels of exposure.

Great product
This thing works. Was able to locate the WiFi trails in my house. Had horrible headaches since moving into a smaller apt with WiFi. Able to change all internet to Ethernet connections and eliminate the WiFi and my headaches are gone. Didn’t realize how much rf is radiating from those modems. Or the microwave. Stay away from that thing!

Broke by being dropped a couple feet.
Very fragile, if you drop it a short distance it will break. So cheap. Plastic is super cheap, insides can't handle small drop.

Worked but cheaply made
The button was broken and the machine looks and feels cheap. This seller is a Sponser. I hate and do my best not to buy through sponsors because returns are a hassle and they usually never pay the return shipping. I tried to set up a return and Seller failed to contact me. Amazon is awesome and fixed the whole mess. The machine seemed to do what it was supposed to as messing with the wobbly button I could still turn it on. Instructions weren't helpful and if you don't understand the numbers of the reads and what form it's measuring in it's useless. I studied up on radio frequency and harmful levels. This was of no help when my machine arrived because the measurements being measured were a different form. So I further tried to study up on the web on what the machine was measuring and still that was of no use. Very frustrating. I just wanted to know the dangerous levels of radio waves and check areas of my home. I couldn't figure that out. Not for amateurs. Maybe if I would have had more time to spend figuring out the reads it would've been useful but the cheaply made machine and wobbling button was not worth the money spent. Hope this helped:)

Four Stars
Works fine. Good price. Job intended. I really do note like the emitting levels of power company smart meters.

Excellent meter
The meter is easy to use and has good quality. Very sensitive. Useful to detect and evaluate electromagnetic radiation around.
