Great product to be used in conjunction with dog flap.
Brilliant product to be used with the external dog flat kit. Will need someone reliable to make hole in the wall but any useful diy-er should manage. This product is just the tunnel and end door but it is needed to keep out cold from wall cavity and to prevent any creature that had got into your wall cavity from entering house. Product joins the the external dog flap easily. The 2 door flaps are strong and make it weather proof and there is a removable sliding internal door to lock it with.. Together they are a winning combination. Highly recrecommend.

Great dog flap
Excellent product...puppy still in training but now doing well. Have removed inner flap to assist with training. Good sturdy product.

Training required but great investment!
I had this installed on my outbuilding for 2 medium/large dogs. It comes with one door lock which is good enough really. Great in cold weather too. I had my builder cement it in. 1 dog got it straight away. The other was far too scared at first but we trained her. For training, I recommend removing one of the 2 flaps at first or even both and reward with a high value treat when or if they come through. You might need to start with rewarding them near the flap, head through the flap, head and paw through the flap, etc. Be patient, do not physically force. If it helps, start by lifting the flap for them at first. We also had a rule, the dog was not allowed to use the main door ever again, this meant we were constantly training and it paid off. This flap has changed our lives! Dogs are able to find indoor space and go outdoor to wee themselves. This equipped with a 2 way audio cam is amazing when you have to go outdoors without the pups.

Generally ok but with a design flaw for UK walls
The actual unit is good. We had it installed by our builder whilst constructing a new conservatory. We’ve experienced torrential rain and high winds since it was installed and it appears to be totally weatherproof. The negative to this item is that, whilst it is described as suitable for walls, it does not meet with a cavity wall. There is a gap between the two parts and no tunnel is available for this size. We had to construct a suitable tunnel from some left over flooring. Considering the high price of this item it should be designed and constructed for the UK cavity wall. Also, despite it being medium size suitable for up to 40lb, it is only just big enough for our cat and chihuahuas to use. I would not consider installing it for a dog larger than this.

Missing a through wall tunnel
It’s well made but could do with shipping with a telescopic square tunnel, not sold as an extra, they know you need one so why not just price it in and sell as a package? The cat and dog were a bit reticent using it at first even though they were both used to using a through door cat/dog flap. I just posted them through it a couple of times and they now both use it at speed 🤣🤣

Great purchase, very pleasex
Took a little while for our dog to work out the two more flexible rubber flaps from the single plastic one she was used to ..but shes got it now and for us its quieter and looks a lot more sophisticated. Would definitely recommend

If you’re putting it through a wall, get the extender as well
Easy to install, once the dogs got used to it they’re in and out of it whenever they need. Comes with an easy to use shutter to close it off.

Good but requires extension tunnel for UK walls (not included)
To be blunt, I think this is somewhat overpriced for what it is. The frames around the flap are indeed aluminium but the frames are connected to plastic sleeves that form the tunnel bit itself. It’s fairly robust in that I can see it lasting and standing up small animals hitting it at high speed repeatedly, and the flaps themselves are replaceable if they wear out (part number is embossed on the flaps). Installation is very straightforward but you’ll need to supply your own screws and rawlplugs to fit to a brick wall - it’s clear this is made for the US market houses where houses are constructed differently. As the tunnel didn’t expand far enough to cope with a UK double brick wall + interior plaster thickness, I had to contact the manufacturer directly to obtain a steel tunnel extension kit as it wasn’t available on Amazon at time of purchase. This set me back an additional eye-watering £28. The steel tunnel goes around the outside of the plastic tunnel to extend it, but the thin plastic of the tunnel bends and twists easily, not to breaking point at all, but it causes problems for the dogs walking across it and with the flap getting caught in the open position unless you seal the gap around the inside of the tunnel with duct tape - this improves the wind proofing as well. Both flaps are thick flexible plastic with a magnet on the bottom and brush strips on the sides. It would have to be a hurricane to be strong enough to blow both flaps open at the same time. I’m training the dogs as they’re used to a single rigid flap by removing one of the flaps, but I’m confident it will help keep the house warmer in due course. In summary, it’s solid enough for what it is and if you need to install it through a UK wall instead of a door, it will work provided you also order an extension tunnel separately, but you might be rightly aggrieved at the cost. It’s worth checking alternatives for cost effectiveness.

Amazing
Love it and works great. Pretty easy install, I am hoping that it is not too drafty in the winter

My husband comes up with some pretty crazy ideas
My husband comes up with some pretty crazy ideas. His latest home project idea was to install a dog door - in the family room. Basically he's tired of the dogs doing their business all over the yard and wanted to restrict them to one area. In order to accomplish this, he said he needed to cut a hole in my wall - WHAT?!! Ok, after a brief freakout, we did the research and chose the Petsafe pet door. Because we have rottweilers, we ordered the large door. I have to admit, when it arrived, I thought there is no way the dogs will fit through that! (They do but more on that later). The instructions were excellent, including templates to help you cut the proper hole and place the door. My husband and my teenage son did all the work on this one. And I have to say, it looks fantastic. I love this door because it has 2 flaps which really helps keep the weather out. It made it a little trickier at first for the dogs to understand to go through it but they eventually figured it out. I had to hold open the flaps a few times to show them that they could also come back in that way. The flaps remind me of those windows that have the texture on them which makes it so can't see through them. The light comes through but it's not liking I'm looking at my yard through the hole in the house. The size is perfect and all three dogs fit as long as they go through one at a time, which is a concept they don't always grasp. I have two puppies and momma dog and all can navigate the door easily after some practice. A side note - we did have to put in a step on the outside of the house as it was a little to high for them to jump both out and in. This has been a successful project and I am very pleased with the PetSafe pet door. The quality of all of the components is excellent and the door as a whole will last a long time. Oh and it comes with a metal plate that you can slide in either in the house or outside. We're not using it but it looks like it would pretty easy to use if you ever wanted to close it temporarily.

Der Preis ist der Hammer
Fast 200 Euro für das Kunststoffteil, echter Wahnsinn, da Verdient einer richtig gut daran. Deshalb nur ein Stern. Bin mal gespant wie lange das Ding hält.

LOVE my pet door!
Love this in-wall pet door! With 5 cats and 2 small dogs, there was one of our fur babies constantly sitting at the door waiting to be let in or let out. Not any more. Our pet door leads into a porch and grass area that is totally enclosed so they are allowed access to enjoy the "outdoors". I am a 60 year old woman with some handy skills and installed totally in 2 hours. After install I taped up both outside flaps and inside flaps to the walls with heavy duty masking tape so no barriers for them to get through yet, and within 5 minutes the oldest of our cats (12 years) was using it, within 10 minutes they all were (cats 1 year old to 12 years old) and one of the dogs (the other dog is disabled so I knew she wouldn't use it) going in and out..... will put one of the flaps down at a time to get them used to it later....the install instructions are very clear, with templates. I did not follow the instructions for measuring the pet at the shoulder etc because of all our pet difference in sizes, I just averaged the sizes and put it closer to the floor than they recommended. The only issue I had was that the vinyl siding prevented the tunnels from overlapping (in a 2 by 8 wall) so the tunnels just touched where they joined, to get around this I used contrasting duct tape on the seam and it looks great. I also made sure that because we live in Canada that i put good insulation back in the wall cavity around the pet door and siliconed the outside frame of the pet door where it meets the siding. Really, really happy "Mom" is not always letting a pet baby in or out..... ps, love the hard door we put in the frame every night so they can't get out after hours.. hope this helps someone else.
