Great product you can deep fry just about anything good good value for this price

We just received this Hamilton Cool Touch Electric Deep Fryer a few days ago and have used it once to cook fish and chips. It is an ideal size for meals for 2 people. This is our second deep fryer, the other is our other home has been in use for a number of years. So we have quite a bit of experience using a small deep fryer. This Hamilton is very well thought out to make things easy. It is easy to clean up after use, does not take up a lot of space when not in use, is in fact cool to the touch when cooking, and has enough power to attain and hold temperature right up to 375 degrees F, with a full basket of food. Not every small fryer can do those simple things. It is intuitive to use. The Hamilton Beach Cool Touch Electric Deep Fryer checks all the boxes for us.

I've lived all over the world so I feel confident saying that we Americans sure love our fried food. But we don't have deep fryers at home. After buying this, I find that so weird. Sure, you could heat a pan or pot of oil and risk burning yourself. But what will you do with the oil afterward? I always found that the biggest issue with frying at home. This little guy changes the game. When you are done and the oil is cooled down completely, you can either just cover the tank with plastic wrap and close the lid to make a seal or pour cooled-down oil into a big old red coffee container (you know the ones) and throw it in the freezer. The oil lasts such a long time, especially with the latter, without always having to dump it with guilt and/or wash 20 million dishes. The device is so easy to clean as well. Strain the cooled-down oil with a cheap coffee filter and/or fine mesh metal strainer(both for best results!) then scrub and dry the easily detached heating element and the removable tank and you are good to go as long as the oil is still good (and anyone with a working nose can tell when it's not.) Oil is very forgiving as long as you don't have specific food allergies. Not to mention that this fryer is crazy safe. It is designed to be turned off by pulling the plug from the wall outlet and has overheat shutoff protection. Even if you put something frozen in and it starts it bubble up at max heat, rest assured that it shuts off once it exceeds a certain heat limit. I accidentally tested one of the safety features when my gf made the mistake of pouring a small amount of water in it at max heat, and yes the house didn't burn down hugely in part of the shut-off features and YES it still works. If you enjoy Japanese katsu, American fried chicken, Philippines lumpia, or even just straight-up french fries/ chips (which are the cheapest thing ever if you just buy your own potatoes!), this little fryer is the way to go.

This cool-touch electric deep fryer is great for home use. The exterior stays cool, making it much safer to handle during cooking. It heats up quickly, fries evenly, and is easy to clean. The size is perfect for small batches—ideal for fries, chicken, or snacks. A solid choice for anyone looking for a safe, reliable deep fryer!

This deep fryer is a very good product. It can cook for 1 or 2, or in a pinch up to 3. Don't overload it for 3 reasons, 1. the safety factor and spatterg oil 2. the food does not cook as well, and finally a rule of thumb is that when the food floats it is done. The magnet is strong enough that you don't have to worry about it coming off when you are cooking. This is a good size deep fryer for one or two. The food tastes so much better than air fried. If you let the food drain properly you won't get that much oil. The built-in thermometer is great. Just set it and forget it. You don't have to keep checking the temperature with a candy thermometer. Highly recommend.

Finally got around to using this unit a few times. Works very well. Like the size of it, especially for storage. Easy to use, good unit.

I should start off this review by stating that I have zero complaint about this fryer's function to fry food. Temperature control is on point. The design makes it easy to both use and to clean after cooking. Now on to the first point that almost made me return it: One: the power cord is too short. No, really. WAY TOO SHORT. The cord measures at exactly 20 inches. Now, 20 inches sounds pretty long if you're measuring a certain male body part, but not for the power cord for an appliance that needs to plugged into the wall. Combining that with the fact that the power cord is one of those magnetic ones that falls out at the slightest tug, it basically means that you have to have the fryer right next to, almost touching the power outlet. In a kitchen setting, that isn't always possible. I don't even have a flat surface to place the thing on within a 20 inch range of any power outlet in my kitchen. This brings me to my second complaint. The fryer is unnecessarily bulky considering its capacity. The thing is almost as big as my microwave oven. So in order to use this fryer, you need to make a space large enough for it, and it has to be within 20 inches of the power outlet in your kitchen. Good luck with that. During usage, the fryer also emits a smell that I struggle to describe, but definitely would never imagine coming from something that's supposed to cook edible food that won't send the eater to the hospital for chemical poisoning. It doesn't smell like anything is burnt though. If you can look past these complaints, then I guess the fryer works fine. The fried chicken I made did indeed come out delicious, after the large amount of hassle I wasn't prepared to put up with.

Having owned several fryers including a very nice professional grade appliance let me tell you why I purchased this. A) small footprint. It is roughly 13x13x9 so it uses counter space efficiently. B) the heating element is separate and removable making it easy to clean. C) the oil pot also removes making it easy to empty and filter your oil and can be cleaned in the dishwasher D) the lid is removable and has a positive latch on it. Also very easy to clean and can be immersed and soaked to clean E) 1500 watts. Heats quickly and helps recover temperature rapidly. F) dual thermocouples for more accurate temperatures. These seem like simple features but in this size and price class it is the only one designed to be easy to maintain and keep clean. Highly recommended.

国内にこのタイプの家庭用フライヤーがないので仕方なく購入、ステンレスパイプの中にヒーターが入っていて内鍋の中に沈め油を直接熱するもの、業務用の中にはあるのですが値段も高いし大きすぎる、このタイプだと内鍋が高熱にならないので油のこびり着きはなくヒーター部、内鍋も簡単に取り外せ綺麗に掃除できます、米国仕様だと電源コンセントの片側の端子が幅広く挿入不可なのでサンダーで削ればOK! 我が家には大きすぎるのですが、これだととんかつも入ります、問題は揚げ油の使用量、最低１,５リッターぐらい入れないと使えません、家庭の使用頻度により問題ないと思います、ニーズがないのかもしれませんが国産メーカーでもう少し小振りのものを販売して欲しい。

Ya he freido varías veces papas, salen ricas y me encantó que no salen grasosas. Ahorra mucho aceite. Lo único que no me gusta para mí, que se le echa bastante aceite para freír, ojalá hubiera una más pequeña y estaría genial, nosotros somos 4 en la familia y rápido en poco tiempo frío papas. Súper recomendada sobre todo para una familia más grande. No la regresé porque hace de maravilla su función y me encanta que mi cocina ya no se mancha al momento de freír papas, se que se puede freír más peor no lo he hecho, sin duda lo haré más adelante.
