why cant we use this for the core too?

This is a very low viscosity lube which is ideal for pieces only. If u want to lube the core, then i suggest u buy thicker lubes (wt 4, wt 5).

If we use it for the core,will it be more smooth or more gummy?

In short the lubes that are weight 5 are gummier and when moving towards weight one the speed increases. It's okay for the core but will not be that gummy and will not last long and so I suggest weight 5 lubes for the core .
