Best reacher/grabber I have had.
Full disclosure: I will receive a rebate, making this item less expensive than usual. However, the rebate was NOT in exchange for a review. I just want people to know this is a good item. I really like the way the rubber on the ends is formed. It has made picking up small or flat objects much easier than any other grabber I have used, and I have had many in the years after a spinal injury. The shaft is strong, and seems to hit the sweet spot between being too short, so I must bend to use it, and so long the object feels much heavier than usual. It's also not so long that putting something into my other hand is a stretch. It has a more comfortable handle than others I have used. I'm starting to have some arthritis, so I appreciate the better handle. Luckily, my arthritis isn't severe enough to say whether it's a huge advantage, though. It seems to be of good quality. The string between the handle and grabbing end is thicker than my last one and the whole thing has a good "heft" to it. I felt like I had to worry about my last one snapping if I needed to do something like pick up a damp towel. I don't worry about that sort of thing with this one. Overall, I think I'll stick to this model if It's still around when this one breaks.

Works great, best I have found!
Using this tool is a must for me due to disability and I have searched for teachers often. I usually have three, two in the house and one in my car which is a big help at the market. This particular reacher is able to pick up a book or a paperclip or a pill, It also is a kitchen must for retrieving items from high shelves! That is where I use the adaptable feature of the grasp end most. As far as sturdiness goes, it seems significantly better than most, used as recommended. All reachers need some care to protect alignment of grabbing jaw, the weakest part of all designs for reachers is the trigger. Not a problem with normal use but don't exceed makers recommended weight. In my experience the reachers last me at least four years! Don't pass this one up!

Not as rugged as I had hoped
Updated My original post: It looks good but am uncertain as to quality. Nothing wrong that I can see but is not looking like it is as strong as I has hoped I can pick up a size 12 tactical boot , a lage csn of peaches or a carton of chicken broth as well as a used alcohol swab I dropped. The swab is always very difficult to pick up when dropped. A used diabetic test strip took major effort to pick up but I did finally get it I think it should pick up most pills but did not test it. The update It is not as strong as I had hoped and bent easily It does not tolerate even minor "abuse"

Best Grabber I Ever Had
This grabber is the best I have ever had. It is sturdy and easy to use. It grabs and holds relatively heavy items, and thin paper items. It holds them firmly. The shape of the grabbing arms is so much more effective than the little suction cups used by all the grabbers I have owned before this one. I think it would be good for folks with limited mobility, such as retrieving items while sitting in a wheel chair. I recommend it highly.

Perfect for the elderly, immobile, and the lazy
I have a friend that had surgery and I got this for her as to make her recovery slightly easier. And boy, did it ever! I also used it a few times because it was in reach, and I was simply lazy. This made for many laughs for my recovering friend. Best medicine ever! In all seriousness, this unit is very lightweight and easy to use. I plan to get another for my aging parents, and will get for anyone recovering from surgery. I may even buy for my laziest friend. For the price do not skip this one.

Not as versatile as expected.
My bad. I just assumed it would have it (my last one did), but there is no "lock" feature so grip can be maintained on the object, and both hands are free to manipulate the tool such as when twisting in/out a light bulb. One hand must maintain a constant squeeze on the handle at all times when it has an object in its grip. Not good for arthritic hands. Thin items are a challenge. Dropped a business card on a tile floor. Could not get it to grab card. Also had a similar problem when I dropped a flat letter opener on the same tile floor. It would grab it, but as soon as I began to raise it, letter opener fell. Happened several times.

amazing
I have tried numerous reacher/grabbers only to be disappointed with them. I found this brand to be far superior to the previous ones I have had. It will pick up something as thin as a piece of paper, or a dime & as small as a tiny, tiny pill from the floor. I intend to purchase several more in order to keep one in each room in the house. That's how good they are. If you need a reacher/grabber, don't waste your time, energy or money on any other brand. IMHO, this one is the best. 9NOTE

Unacceptable replacement for PikStick damaged before arrival. 2-27-21 Upcate
I've used PikStick for years, without issue and required an additional one. It was broken just above the jaws so I returned it for replacement and received the Heavy Duty + Ergonomic Reacher Grabber Tool for Elderly. While it has a similar reach length, the jaws are incapable of holding onto heavier items the PikStick will without slipping and losing the grip. Additionally, the area behind the trigger has sharp edges and is uncomfortable if held at the uppermost opening. I cannot recommend this item and will stick with the PikStick. This item is more expensive than the PikStick but doesn't compare in quality, ease of use and effective hold of a heavier item. This cheap substitute broke (cable snapped) last night. I'm very thankful to still have my 10+ years old PikStik to use while I ordered ANOTHER PikStik last night. DO NOT BUY Heavy Duty + Ergonomic Reacher Grabber Tool for Elderly. It's a total rip-off!
