How do you remove the plastic safety clip?

No safety clip to remove - they are extremely hard to light. I do not use anymore.

I'll take your question to mean, "Are they refillable?" Answer: No. But they last long and are easy on your thumb. Buy some.

I know these are childproof but I can't even push them down to light! Is there any way to remove that safety feature and make lighting easier???

I'm not sure about removing the safety feature. It took me a lot of practice to get the hang of getting it to light. Not much fuel in them.

Why are these no longer at stores? Liability issues? They are great lighters.

I have no idea why u can’t buy the electronic cigarette lighters anywhere but amazon. Their price keeps increasing and had made them to expensive to buy. It’s too bad. After I get the safety off the top they work the best for sick hands
