Gamehide Flatland Deer Hunting Parka

This was delivered by UPS! This package came fast. The quality of this coat is amazing. Very thick and warm. The color is very bright orange. It fits really well and has many pockets to store many tools for hunting. This is high quality coat with a low price. Bravo!!

3 seasons of light deer hunting and still in great shape. Keeps me warm and dry.

I wore this hunting this year and was impressed with the jacket the few times I was out. The jacket fit great when I tried it on with room to layer underneath (more on that to come). When we started hunting it was warm (in the 40s) and I wore the jacket with only a light under layer and was toasty warm all day, in fact I zipped the jacket down a bit to keep from overheating during pushes. The following week the temperature dropped to about 20 and we had a slow steady snow on the mountain, the snow didn't soak into the jacket and with a thicker under layer I was again toasty warm. I only was out a few times this year but when I went out I went for the day and was regularly pretty mobile, I was highly visible, comfortable, and dry. The pockets could be a bit bigger but were functional to carry some extras and heavier hats and gloves. I am happy enough that I am currently looking into getting the gamehide bib to match, I would recommend to a friend.

I am fairly pleased with the quality. Held up against some nasty briars this season. My only complaint is that the snaps on the hood need to be stronger. My hood got pulled off my coat when I was plowing through some nasty stuff. I didn’t realize it until home. Had to go back looking for it. I am 6’ 2” 240lbs. The XL fit well with enough room for layering.

Seems warm enough with the exception of no drawstring at bottom or around waist to draw it tight. Probably will use a belt or something like that. Lighter weight so comfortable enough while driving (3 in 1 parka is too heavy for this). Plenty bright for visibility. Normally wear between XL and XXL, depending on layering and full gut. Bought XXL to allow layering for riding motorcycles. A little bigger than my XXL Columbia parka. Plenty of room for layering. Nice size pockets. Nice Velcro and elastic closures at wrist. Allows taking off without undoing Velcro the adjustments. Don't give 5 stars, but about the only negative (for the price) is not being able to tighten up the bottom.

Good so far. I shrunk my old one in the dryer.

Bought for 14 year old female. First year hunting with dad. She says it was very warm and comfortable.
