I got this for a very reasonable price through one of Amazon’s sales. We are having so much trouble with our furnace this winter that I needed something to help heat the house. This gives off a lot of heat and it can be adjusted to how warm you want it. On low it kicks when it starts to get chilly in here. On medium it stays on constantly with warm heat coming through. High heat is very hot so I don’t use that setting very much. At first when you turn it on it’s a little loud but quiets down after a few mins and you can still hear it but it’s not crazy loud or anything! So far it’s working great!

Love this portable heater, gives just the right amount of heat for the area I'm using it in. We had a bad deep freeze spell that lasted 10 days. I strategically placed 2 of these heaters and never ended up with frozen pipes. They saved me hundreds of dollars in frozen pipes repair!

This quartz heater is very nice. Heats up fast and keeps me cozy. It is just a personal preference here, but it is all plastic and kinda cheap to the touch and overall feel. It works 100% as it should, I just took one star off due to modern plastic craftsmanship. The safety features work perfect.

This is by far the loudest space heater ive owned. Its very loud in fact, it also takes forever to heat up a room, for $50 im very dissatisfied with this product.

My central HVAC stopped working and I bought this for the winter. Why have central heating on to heat the entire house when I spend most of my time in just a couple of rooms!

Heater is great! 10/10 would buy again. It was used -- or at least purchased and returned -- and that was obvious from the packaging and the way the box was beaten up and re-taped. But the heater works great! I'm a little confused how Amazon delivered this "to the mailroom," as was noted -- since it was delivered to a house. And there is no mailroom. But it's not the first time Amazon's delivery "quirks" have confused me.

I started to notice it having the power light go out, and I checked everything and found the tip switch on the bottom is shorted out when it is flat on the floor, so I tipped it back about mid way of thee switch, and the power came back on. I would fix it before I send it back for that, if I can get a replacement part from them. I am going to ask, and if they want me to send it back I will just bypass that switch. I live in a small camper with the walls close to 1 inch thick, so it get cold, and cost too much for propane heat. Then when I use the propane heater I can stand in front of it and it barely gets warm, but this heater can get the temperature up to 75 degrees when it is 28 degrees outside. I don't want it to get hotter than that, unless I am making bread. I was using another brand and it would heat it up to 68 when it is 28 outside, but at times it would be as low as 66 inside. One of the heating rods burned out, and I ordered this a week before it burned out, so it is still cold, and I need heat. That is why I don't want to send it back, unless I get a replacement first, or the rest of that tip switch burn out and I am force to bypass it. I talked to them and I can keep the heater and I get 30% back to replace the switch.

Me gusta mucho que mantiene la temperatura que tu le indiques. En mi caso en particular una de las 2 lamparas de cuarzo no prendía, pero al agitarlo ya hizo contacto y funcionó.

Works great in the garage. Just needed simple, quick heat for short stays. Slight noise but at least you can hear it working and blowing heat. Does the job.

Everything is good. One amazing feature is how easy it is to change position in the room or move to another location. Heat is radiant. I think other customers will like this and Black and Decker always came highly recommended. As their usual excellence, Amazon.ca was very careful. This is a good company.

BLACK AND DECKER INFRARED QUARTZ TOWER HEATER I love the way it came packaged very securely. I believe this is a refurbished one second use product that I purchased so far so great. However It’s only got two level levels of heat. Low and high. For the money it is great value and easy to use! The only negatives I can think of is that a) there is no remote to shut it off and b) it is a lot noisier than I thought it would be because when I was doing the research to get a reasonably priced infrared heater, it said that these are much quieter than regular heaters or even ceramic heaters, but it is giving off quite a bit of noise, so not sure if my neighbors will like it.🫠

Quieter than other similar (identical) models. Works great.
