RaggTopp 2141 Convertible Top Fabric Protectant

First off I have my first new convertible... an Audi TT. I read about RaggTopp in various blogs and decide to try it. I read about the competition what is it..409, 606, well whatever! To start I put on a coat, let it dry then recoated it. A week later I put on another coat, and I what I did was take a soft horsehair brush like a shoeshine brush, as I sprayed a 2x2 ft section I took the brush and gently brushed into the canvas top. I did this over the entire top. Once a week for the next 3 weeks I did the same. The top looks BEAUTIFUL and I can tell it's completely protected, because it has a great, beautiful, black "sheen" to it, and sheds water like Goretx jacket.The canvas top looks as beautuful as the paint looks shiny. It's a deep black with that great sheen to it. I'm sold! When I wash the car I don't aways wash the top if it's not dirty, but the water beads off like just waxed paint. The other thing I like about it is the fact you don't have to mask and cover with plastic the whole rest of the car to keep overspray off. Todays car care is about convenience too. With RaggTopp I can do a quick spray over once a month with ease! Another inportant consideration is the fact it's recommended by the one company that make a majority of the material for most convertibles worldwide. I'll put this stuff and my top up against ANYTHING else, anytime! I'm speaking as a user on a new top, as with anything with age, all things deteriorate. I'm not sure once it starts going bad nothing is going to make it new again. I am convince that on a new top RaggTopp will"Preserve" a new top, but like anything will not necessarily rejuvinate a half wore out canvas convirtible top. Buy it, apply it like I did and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about! The only 303 in my life is my area code...

Quality product proudly made in the USA. Even though you buy thru Amazon and carefully packaged item come from the manufacturer. Even down to a nicely wrapped can, instructions and brochure. The pride in this product shows. I’ve used them on a Saab convertible and now my soft top bronco. Excellent product, easy to apply and protects your investment. 5-stars and I’d give it more if I could.

Brought a can and used it this weekend. Put two coats on the top and gently worked it it with a soft brush. Revived the top and it looks new! Now we will see how it hold up. By the way, I have a 10 year old 640 BMW and it appears I will be able to treat the top at least one more time.

I have driven convertibles since I obtained my driver licence some 20 years ago. Most of the rides I drove were Vinyl tops. These types of tops are very easy to keep clean, soap water towel dry & done. How ever these types of top suffer from shrinage & become brittle over time. My current car a BMW 3 series convertible has a real raf top. It's made out of cloth. This type of top requires more maintence but is more durable & doesn't suffer from the above mentioned prolbems; but has it's one set of issues. The issues are, lint. fading & scraping the top from excesive scrubbing. Ragg topp cures many of these issues. I have read quite a few reviews on this product & from what I gather from the reviews & my own personal experiance it is the best product out there. My top looks so much better now, the deep rich color is back, it's not attracting as much lint as it had in the past. I have so far applied 3 coats. The water isn't beading as well as it should, so I will need to apply two to 3 more coats. Your results may vary. My top was most likely neglected for years prior to my ownership.

Durable, effective at a short time you could see color restoration, medicine scent, Residue- I use furniture moving clothes tape them around car, then let them drape over hood and trunk, easy application but several applications, wiped down after use very little clean up from product most tape removal and cloth folding…

Make sure the top is really really clean of all dirt etc. Rinse well and let it dry. If this is not done correctly it's your fault that the top doesn't look like new after three light coats. I put a 4th coat on by spraying a clean rag and wiping to top in multiple directions to evenly spread the coating. I let it dry over night before exposing it to exterior climate. Read instructions. Simple straight forward. Takes time but results are lasting and worth the time.

I can't comment on how it works, time will tell there. Application should be easy but the nozzle on the can is bad, leads to lots of drips and a lot of product wasted. Runs all over the can and your hands. I would not buy again.
