Very good fit with the X frame 500 mag. One of the few holster I found that was produced specifically for this model revolver. Holster protects the gun well with only the grips exposed. Retainer strap fits snug, has a good snap. The leather used is a stiff chrome tan and was formed and shaped specifically for the 500 and the product provides a near perfect form fit. Seams are double stitched and look solid. The leather used is a little bit lighter material than other holsters I have. It is still well made and good material. Durability over time will tell if this was worth the cost. My initial perception is that it is a pretty good buy for a holster that fits well and provides good protection. Until I've carried it for a few trail miles I can't tell about comfort, but the options provided by the belt loops on the holster suggest it will be a pretty good fit with a backpack. No problems, drawbacks or weakness that see right now.

I've been looking for a good holster for my 6.5 inch barrel 500 mag. This fits it perfectly. I wanted black, so I contacted the seller, and they sent me a black one. The leather is thick enough to support the cannon, while not adding noticeable weight. To sum it up, the best word for this holster is, "perfect"!!!

Fits perfectly, nice leather, nice overall quality. Time will tell on durability.
