SWS Evolution Holster for S&W M&P and M&P M2.0 Shield 9mm & .40, Taurus Slim 708, 709 & 740, Walther PPS 9mm & .40, CZ97B

I looked through various posts to see if it would fit the Shield, also the Fobus site says it does. I believe it is actually designed for the Smith/Walther PPS pistol. It works well. The retention could be more snug but it still stays in. This is a very easy holster to put on and off, and holds very securely under the belt. It works best with a thicker gun belt or tough fabric instructor belt. It conceals decently but it helps to have a looser shirt over it. So far have been using it for several months at the 3 to 3:30 position and it is working OK, the extra magazine is on my left and that way it balances the weight better. Am satisfied overall with the fit, feel, durability, and ease of on/off.

A long time fan of Fobus holsters I've not been disappointed by fit nor quality and resilience of Fobus holsters. This model for my S&W Shield fit like a glove. Many competitors kydex moulded holsters will interfere with the magazine release on semiautos but that's not been a problem with any of my Sig or S&W sidearms. Particularly appealing is the smooth yet grippy lining of the paddle which holds to my hip like glue. Overall just a well built, long wearing daily carry holster

Very comfortable fit. I'm 6' 220 lbs and it sits comfortably without digging in my side. My Taurus 709 Slim fits well, easy to adjust the grip so it stays secure yet can be drawn confidently. The trick to drawing your weapon from this (as described in the instructions given on packaging) is a firm and quick pull. If you go slow or try to be gentle about it, it's just going to hold tight and pull your pants up. The only negative I see is the difficult use if you're not wearing a belt, or if you're wearing athletic pants or similar. The design relies heavily on a firm belt or waistband to offer the resistance to secure the clip during the draw. Not a problem for me as jeans and a belt is normal attire for when I'd be wearing it. Overall very pleased.

Fits comfortably and really well to gun especially when carrying holster outside the belt. On the inside of the belt, it's not real comfortable and should only be done with a strong, tightly cinched belt. I don't have enough experience in concealed holsters to give valid comparisons to other holsters at this point, but I would say overall, this is a good quality holster and comfortable enough. If you wear heavy, loose clothing, you could probably get away with concealing, but if you're looking for a good inside the belt/pant concealed carry holster, I'd probably recommend you keep looking. Note that the interior padded portion is curved (with hard plastic) to fit on a hip, so if you're looking for front or back carry, this could pose an issue as well. Very comfortable as a side holster though and for those looking to conceal, but not really care how concealed- I think you'll find this a great holster.

I have had FOBUS holsters in the past and pretty much knew what to expect but this one exceeded my expectations. I wanted a light, durable, but most of all concealable holster for the "slim" .40cal Taurus and this is a perfect fit. So comfortable you can forget you have it on. Once you slip in on it stays put. I like to carry it in the 4 to 430 position which, with the slight forward cant, is just about perfect. I usually carry IWB but with the cooler temps coming soon to the "Lowcountry" of SC, this is going to be my PT740's constant companion. Buy this and you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend the holster, not to mention the pistol too!

No complaints here. Nice OWB carry holster at a great price! Perfect for camping or walks in the woods. Also great for outdoor target practice. This holster fits more than one type of gun. My M&P Shield 9mm is a very small gun and it fits fine. There is an adjustment screw on the holster if needed. However, I’m not sure if a gun smaller than the Shield would fit.

Durable adjustable grip to hold gun in holster isn’t bulky or stick out to far keeps concealed and good value

Fobus SWS is the Correct holster for the S&W M&P Shield 9mm Performance Center. Perfect fit right out of the box and very secure with no trouble un-holstering. Great holster for open carry. I slide the paddle in my front pocket for ease of access when target shooting or walking around on private property. Paddle is comfortable when worn in the pant waist as well. I would recommend.
