Will it pull out my babies hair?

I am not an expert, but I believe that most babies will lose a lot of hair to cradle cap. I guess it depends on how bad the cradle cap is? There is really not a lot of room for deciding since any treatment would do that. Moreover, even if one decided to leave the cradle cap untreated, it is likely that the cradle cap would produce hair loss too. If it's any consolation I can say that the hair grows back rather quickly after treatment. After the cradle cap was over with, my baby girl, who was born with a lot of hair, was semi bald. But almost immediately after finishing the treatment, she started to grow very quickly new healthy hair in a clean scalp. I must say that the product itself does not seem to cause hair loss since we continued to use it as a regular shampoo up until now. We started using the product at about 4 months old. She was bald at about 5 months, and about that same age, she started growing hair again. Now at nearly 9 months, she has beautiful healthy hair and scalp. The cradle cap has not come back.

Does the cream have to be washed out the next morning?

I never did. It makes their hair oily looking for a bit but eventually soaks in.

Can this be used on the face?

Yes. Mustela's website says it's safe for the forehead and eyebrows.
