Works amazing

This ain't rocket science...the only way you screw this up is getting the wrong size for your fireplace. Quality, thick construction should last longer than your house. I burn a fire every night in winter and this definitely protects the back as it was designed to do....500 years ago.

The piece arrived promptly but didn’t seem as thick as i thought it would be. In the thickest areas like around the edges it has built up iron but it is fairly thin anywhere else. Not warping which i guess means it’s thick enough. I don’t really notice a temp difference. It does hold heat after the fire has died which is good.

This piece is impressive in design and craftsmanship, however, it was a bit too large for my small fireplace. I did measure before purchasing, but the way the legs sit, you should add a little to the dimension to make sure it fits. It is very heavy and durable!

The first time we used this fireback we heard a large pop and noticed a horizontal crack going from one edge to almost the middle of the fireback. It wasn’t there when we started the fire and we didn’t have an unusually large or hot fire going at the time. Very disappointing.

This is well-made and substantial. I bought it for a gas fireplace in order to not only protect the bricks but also to project heat into the room. I am not impressed with how well it projects heat but I’m sure that it protects the inner lining of my fireplace. Review carefully before purchasing to determine if you believe it will suit your needs.

Keeps the fire going by inducing a draft and maintains the heat radiation.

Just what I needed to throw back heat into the room from my built in Heatilator. Very well cast piece. Heavy just like I wanted.
