I used to only wear Chucks back when I was in bands in my 20's and as I got older I thought I should "grow up" and where adult shoes. After a couple of back surgeries that have left me with limited feeling in my left leg, I have been endlessly searching for "optimum arch support" and everything else you think you need to help your posture and back when you're older (I'm 49 now). I recently thought "screw it" and went back to Chuck's because they're basically thick socks. These shoes are awesome! Fit just right and because I'm a graphic / web designer I don't get ridiculed for wearing them. It's not like I'm a CEO and taking a meeting with the GE bigwigs wearing silly "clown" shoes. Then again I'm not stomping around on stage playing punk rock anymore (which probably screwed my back in the first place) but still a great casual shoe. Probably shouldn't wear them to the upcoming funeral, though. :-)

I just turned 58. I lost my big-paying editor job long ago now. I had to wear ties and slacks. Now I cover high school sports, and while sometimes I wear top-siders and a collared shirt, I resort to wearing Chuck Taylors and black jeans to sports events. I stalk the sideline shooting photos of various sports, and the shoes never fail. They're like outdoor slippers. I spend a lot of time on my feet. And sure, I groan a lot now. But my feet don't hurt. The only time I switch out the footwear is for soccer when it gets so cold my feet turn to stone. So thumbs up.

I take a 12 wide but there's no wide or half sizes offered this big so i tried a size 13 and they fit good despite all the reviews saying get half size smaller since i couldn't.....These blue ones brings back so many memories from the 70's. Going to have to get the natural white low style converse now....or the red.....maybe both but definitely in a size 13.

The shoes themselves are fine, but they sent previously worn shoes. Maybe not extensively worn, but the white on the toe on one shoe was scuffed and the rim of the sole smudged. Inside, the "Converse" name is worn and smudged in both shoes. They also came in a box that wasn't labeled Converse, just plain cardboard and placed like they were just tossed in. I'm tempted to think they were a display pair or someone tried them on in a store. I doublechecked to make sure I didn't order a used pair and can confirm they were sold as "new". The only option through Amazon is to return them not replace them. Support is handled directly through Converse, so I might be able to do an exchange through them. They offer a 30-day exchange period. The shoes appear to be fine enough to wear and they fit, so I'm considering my options. Just disappointing to receive a clearly used pair when I specifically ordered new. I've bought a number of shoes through Amazon over the years and have never not received an unused, factory packaged pair.

Shoes look previously worn and have stains. No shoe box included.

Hello, My foot size is 47/46 EU size and I find this shoes 13 US size is very satisfying for so many reasons. First of all, I live in Egypt where the weather around is very dusty and always dirty. the shoe is sufficing my needs since I have been wearing it every single day since I got it.

I really love these sneakers! They seem to be helping with my chronic plantar fasciitis which is an absolute delight considering all the treatment that I have gone through after all these years. I have an insert on the inside on the heel from Heal that pain insert and the combination is fantastic for my feet.

Trage seit Jahren Chucks von Converse und hatte nie Probleme! TOP! Würde ungerne auf diese Schuhe verzichten :-) Finde auch das es kein alternativen Schuh dazu gibt. Schuhgröße 48+ braucht halt gute Schuhe :-)
