Solid wheels
These are impressive training wheels. Add TPU tubes and fast tires (a la GP5000 or PZero Race) and you are very close to a low-cost carbon rim from many of the brands also on Amazon. I have those as well, and they are slightly faster feeling. What you get with these is more stability in the crosswinds, a better wet braking surface and confidence in the Vision name at the low cost of 100-150 grams in comparison. I use these to race road and crits in the rain when rim brakes and carbon fiber don’t mix well. I also use these as a training wheels. Just recently, I mistakenly took a route with a couple milled miles ready for repaving. I had a spoke come completely out from the nipple and another ready to. Bombing down descents at 50mph, I didn’t even notice until I got home. Replaced the spoke and rim tape, it trued right up and they were ready to go again. With thousands of miles on them, I can confidently recommend them. I’m a heavy rider at 195lbs and I often ride on less than ideal tarmac. I’ll take them to every race day as a pit wheel, neutral wheel or rainy-day wheel.

Beautifully made for the price!
I build bikes for friends, family and myself. For the price these are a great value. Aero configuration, bladed, straight-pull spokes, subdued graphics, rim strip already installed, sealed cartridge bearings and decent QR skewers included. I haven’t ridden them yet but the front hub is silent and smooth and the rear has a nice subdued sound from the pawls. I wish the braking surface was left uncolored but that is purely cosmetics. They are made by FSA which produces very serviceable headsets for very reasonable prices. Just ordered a second set. Have put several hundred miles on them now and still love them. Great wheels, excellent value.

Roll Fast, Look Good, Don’t go Broke
