The astonishing conclusion to the #1 international bestselling Vampire Academy series . . . “We’re suckers for it.”— Entertainment Weekly “Stands out from the crowded vampire genre.”— Associated Press “An obvious pick for the literary lover of all things bloodsucking.”— MTV’s Hollywood Crush Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice. Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth’s magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi, the fiercest vampires—the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them. The Queen is dead and the Moroi world will never be the same. Now, with Rose awaiting wrongful execution and Lissa in a deadly struggle for the royal throne, the girls find themselves forced to rely upon enemies and to question those they thought they could trust. . . . But what if true freedom means sacrificing the most important thing of all—each other? Review: Wonderful, if predictable, ending to this series - This is the sixth, and final, book in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Mead has stated that while there will be spin-off books of this series, no more books will tell Rose's story. This was an excellent conclusion to the series, if a bit predictable at times. I can say I was thoroughly pleased with the way everything is wrapped up. This book starts with Rose in prison for killing the Moroi queen. She is quickly sprung from jail by her friends and Dimirtri. Dimitri, Rose, and Sydney go off on a mission to find Lissa's lost family member and to try and clear Rose's name. Meanwhile back at court Lissa is also struggling to clear Rose's name while opposing some of the harsh measures the Council has forced on the dhampirs. This was a satisfying conclusion to the series and I was pretty happy with it. The story is mainly told from Rose's point of view, although she spends plenty of time in Lissa's head so you can stay on top of what is happening back at court. Rose and Dimitri spend a lot of time together so there were lots of wonderful scenes featuring the two of them. All of the little bits of plot come together nicely in the end. The book moves along at a good pace and is never boring; I whizzed through this almost 600 page book and had trouble putting it down. Mead has a wonderful writing style it is engaging, easy to read, and sounds very natural. I have a couple small quibbles. The things that went on in this book were a bit too predictable. Basically everything happens exactly how you think it will (except for one item at the end). On one hand this was nice because none of the characters got beat up too much, on the other hand I would have liked to see more surprising twists and turns. The other complaint is that there are a lot of things left hanging, not with Rose's story, but with others. So, you can definitely tell that this is being planned for spin-off series. Adrian, Sydney, and Jill in particular have huge unresolved issues at the end of this book. Overall I really enjoyed this book and thought it did a great job bringing this fabulous series to a close. I really enjoy Mead's writing and am excited to see what she comes up with next. I was a bit disappointed that this book was so predictable and left a lot of the other characters hanging. Still that didn't detract much from what a wonderful book this was and how nicely it wrapped up Rose's story. Review: Amazing Book! - didnt like the ending. - Let me start by saying: I didnt like the ending. I`ll tell you why in the review. The Vampire Academy Series is my favorite series of all time. I thing its beautifully written, and the story couldnt be more perfect. Last Sacrifice is the last book, and I was shivering of anticipation on December 7, when the book finally went out. The fifth book had finisihed in such a shocking way I didnt know how Richelle would solve everything. The sixth book is so surprising it will take your breath away. Impossible revelations hit Rose hard, and truths are unraveled in that unique way Richelle writes. In the last 100 pages of the book there is a twist that will have you gasping for air: it is incredible. Dimitri and Rose's relationship grows a lot in the book, although I felt thay should have had more conversations regarding the trip to Siberia, the time at St. Vladimir`s, Dimitri`s family. A questioning from the guardians about their romance when they were instructor-student deffinitely was missing! Here are the reasons I didnt like the ending: (SPOILERS). By ending I refer to what happens after Rose wakes up in that palace`s room. Before that, the book is MARVELOUS. I didnt want this series to have a perfect ending, and it didnt: the ending was a little bit depressing. Rose wakes up one day and has everything worked out for her. Yeah, she has been through a lot and deserves to have Dimitri, etc. But, as she`s got the palace, Dimitri, and Lissa, everything is OK, and on the last 40 pages Rose became a total selfish girl. She doesnt seem like the Rose we got to know on the series. She doesnt ask A SINGLE QUESTION about Sydney`s future, she doesnt care about it. The poor girl had helped her through everything. She had put her life at stake, she had done things that scared her to her very core just for Rose to get her way. And she didnt even take her out of that hotel, she left her. She didnt come back for her once she could. She let the Alchemists have her and never even found out why Abe had her doing all the things he had her doing. In the last scene between Sydney and Rose, Sydney looks at Rose with sadness and what I thought was betrayal, and she is right. Poor poor Sydney. She didnt deserve that. The other thing I didnt like was the ending with Adrian. Poor Adrian. He totally didnt deserve it! I was freaking mad at Rose when she started giving him that talk about being a victim. She broke his heart and said that to him?? THE POOR GUY HAD LOST HIS AUNT, REALIZED HER MOTHER BRIBED PEOPLE TO GET HER WAY AND THOUGHT HE WAS GOING CRAZY. And Rose breaks his heart. Not pleased with that, she tells him he acts like a victim and thats why they cant be together? That was very low of Rose in my opinion. And he goes away, they probably never see each other again. Ok, Adrian lost his friends because Rose is in the group of friends and he cant be near Rose. Lets not forget he was in love with her, waited for her, was a total sweety and respected her. He financed her trip to Russia to look for her soul mate for gods sake! And then, this ends like this? With Rose not trying to fix things? Eddie was another one who is in trouble at the end of the book and Rose doesnt help him, when we all well know he was always there for her. I didnt want a perfect ending, but this hurt me. I believe the book is FANTASTIC, except for the last 40 pages. I think Richelle should totally re-write them. Ths series should have ended another way for me, like: Lissa doesnt win the election and Rufus Tarus does. That way the group of friends (who stays together because Adrian and Rose react to the facts differently) has to remain fighting, but they are together. Its like they have a lot ahead of them now, but after this, everything should be OK. THAT is not a perfect ending, yet, there is a really good feel about it. Another good ending is for Adrian to end up with Jill and, although very mad at Rose, in the long run they build a friendship. And Rose should have worried about Sydney and called her, although not solving all her issues, but at least she should have showed some interest in helping her friend. Of course I loved Rose and Dimitri ending up together, but I had thought that was a given through the whole series. Only if Richelle wanted to lose her readers and ruin her series would she have separated them in the end. I still love Rose. I`ve known her for 6 books and know who she is. She is not the person in the last 40 pages. I like to think she was too shocked by having Dimitri with her that her mind was reeling and her priorities were turned upside down. I hope she realizes what she did in those 40 pages and tries to fix it. I have faith in her, I know the character will fiz things in that universe Richelle created. I want to clarify, that this is my FAVORITE SERIES, and the BEST I`VE READ. I really think so. This book was FANTASTIC, and that is why I put 5 stars. The only reason why I spent a whole review explaining why i hadn`t liked the ending was because this series is soooo perfect I was really stunned by that really confusing ending (confusing since the real characters wouldn`t act like that: Rose is not selfish). I think Richelle should write one more installment: this isnt a series finale. There are a lot of things to solve and/or change. I dont want everything perfectly worked out, but there are many questions that should have answers, attitudes to apologize for, and scenes to be written (scenes that HAD TO BE in the book, but they aren`t). Richelle should leave some problems, leave us a question mark, but letting us, readers, have a good feel about it. There a lot of things she couldnt leave the way she did. Anyway, I want to thank Richelle for the beautiful serries she has created, I`ll be sure to read her other series, and of course the spin-off series, although I really think she should write another VA book (I know she probably wont because of editorial stuff but I can still wish for it). And I know we are going to have some answers on the spin-off but I want to read the problems from Rose's point of view. She has been all the reader`s companion through out the series and I need to see her world fall back into place from her eyes. And now, to summarize, I will post user "Dee18 "Dee"" `s[...] last paragraph of her review because I think its just great: "The `Vampire Academy' series has been a hallmark of the young adult paranormal genre. It has been an epic series of love, hate, violence and kick-ass girl heroics. This series is a work of unparalleled teen brilliance and Richelle Mead has cemented her place amongst not only the teen heavyweights, but paranormal-writers. If you haven't read this series yet, then you're doing yourself a disservice. Even if I wasn't thrilled with the finale, I can appreciate the series as a whole and will forever count it amongst my all-time favourites. " I totally agree with her, and I repeat this was written by her, not by me. ¡Cant believe its finally over! Cant wait for the spin-off series. Well, I hope my review helped you.

Great Series!
*Contain spoilers if you haven't read the previous books in the series To say that I had a lot of expectations going into Last Sacrifice is putting it mildly, but like my blogger pal Danielle from ALPHA reader said in her review of the book, we had yet to read a series finale by Richelle Mead and we had no clue what to expect. Happy-Ending? Rushed Ending? Prologue? So I went into Last Sacrifice blind as can be and came out very satisfied in a lot of ways and intrigued in many other. This last installment in Richelle's awesomely popular Y.A. series starts off right when Spirit Bound ended, with Rose locked up fearing for her future and a note from the recently murdered Queen Tatiana that just made everything more complicated. Last Sacrifice is a race against time and we find best friends Rose and Lissa each, going through their own journey trying to make the impossible happen, all for each other. Rose is going after the long lost half-sibling Lissa might have and Lissa is running against the clock trying to prove Rose is innocent. I loved every single minute of each journey and amongst such traitorous roads it was amazing to see how much Rose has evolved and has become an incredible woman. She makes the toughest decisions yet in this novel and not the least one of them is choosing between Dimitri and Adrian, which I'm glad is really her choice and not taken from her by fate. Lissa was pretty amazing throughout Last Sacrifice and even though she has annoyed me a number of times, including the end of Spirit Bound, for most of this last book she was pretty awesome. However, she peeved me to no end by the way she acted towards the end of the novel and I am intrigued to see how things turn out in the spin-off series, which I am sure she will be a part of. The biggest inconsistency for me however, was Adrian's behavior. Yes, he is a very unfortunate situation, he loves a girl that he can see still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend and all throughout Spirit Bound he acted perfectly regarding this situation, letting Rose make her own decisions and being very mature about it all, even though it certainly went against his nature. However in Spirit Bound, Adrian's behavior annoyed me soooo much! I don't wanna say much anymore to avoid spoilers, so I'll leave it at that. All in all Last Sacrifice was a very fulfilling finale when it comes to Rose's story, I was extremely happy with how things turned out, though it certainly wasn't the best book in the series. There were a lot of things left up in the air and it was clear to me about whom the spin-off will be... I am excited about that, specially about seeing Rose again, even in the background. A great ending to the series, though not all of it is wrapped up in a neat bow
Why I chose this book: This is the final book in the Vampire Academy series. It is the last I will read of Rose’s sassy perspective. This is more me mourning the loss of this wonderful series. Have I told you guys how much I hate when book series end? It’s like getting your heart ripped out and trampled by a herd of elephants. 4 things you need to know about this book: 1. Lissa and Rose’s relationship does a swap. I love this part of the book. For so long Rose has always been the protector, and now it is Lissa who is protecting Rose. Mead did not sacrifice Lissa’s gentle character. She didn’t make her out to be this Moroi fighter, but her strengths were developed and used appropriately. 2. Meeting the Keepers was a mix of odd and intriguing. When they meet the Keepers (believe me this is not a spoiler), I was even more excited! It was another part of this vampiric society that Mead created with such vivid detail. At first Rose, Dimitri, and Sydney look at them with disgust and mortification at times, but then come to the realization they are just different. They are still people, and their actions do not make them more or less of a person; they are just different. I think this is very important to note in life in general. People, especially in America, look at different cultures and see the negatives or don’t understand the custom and call it bad. That’s not necessarily true. It’s just different. 3. Guilt vs. Forgiveness. This book deals a lot with guilt and forgiving yourself. Dimitri and Rose are characters who have wrought destruction for the ultimate good of the Moroi and Dhampir society, but does the ends justify the means? Foregoing that question for the time being, Dimitri and Rose both struggle with the things they have done: Dimitri’s actions as a Strigoi, and Rose’s actions to protect and save those she loves. I love how Mead write about them finding forgiveness not just in each other but in themselves. For so long these books have been about the war the fought with other and for their friends, now the front lines is in their minds as they wage war against their own guilt and come to terms with the decisions that they have made. 4. My favorite quotation. "'I won't be that guy, Rose. I won't be that man who takes someone else's woman away.' [Dimitri said]… 'I don't belong to him… I don't belong to anyone. I make my own choices.' [Rose replied]." -Last Sacrifice, Richelle Mead. Though this isn't some profound quotation, this was something that made me whoop for joy. In normal romance teen fiction, you hear the generic "I don't belong to anyone, but I belong to you' crap. And I love how Rose is a strong enough character to step back and say, 'I don't belong to anyone. I don't even belong to the man that I love. I belong to myself alone.' To me that is a great step of empowerment in teen fiction, and that's probably my favorite line just because of what it stands for. Final Thoughts: Overall, this series was addicting and enthralling. I was sad yet happy to see it end; I guess you call that bittersweet. Their stories were finished for the time being —not complete, but there were done. Obviously, there was a lot left unsaid and not everything was tied up into a nice, neat, pretty bow. That’s what you have the Bloodlines series for. Honestly, I immediately wanted to jump into that series, but I decided that reading a few of the ever-waiting ARCs would be a better use of my time and just to take a break so I don’t get burnt out. But after reading 6 lengthy books and wanting to immediately jump into Bloodlines tells me that this is a pretty good series. I gave this book 5 stars on my Goodreads. Fabulous ending to a great series
My summary: Accused of a murder she didn't commit, Rose struggles to deal with being left out of the fight to clear her name and just hang out in a jail cell. Forced to leave the work to her friends, she looks for a way to contribute. Given an opportunity to help Lissa, Rose jumps at the change despite the risk to her own life. But that opportunity has her spending a lot of time with Dimitri, who claims their love has faded. Can Rose wait patiently for her friends to save her this time, or will she go stir crazy hanging out with the man she still loves? And who did commit that murder? Are they willing to kill again? What about the royal politics that are reeling from the death? Can Lissa use her influence to help? How far is Lissa willing to go to help Rose? My thoughts: 5 stars - a fabulous finish to a amazing series The narrator for this audiobook was Emily Shaffer, back from books four and five. Again, I enjoyed her voices/accents. She did an amazing job. I still wasn't a fan of the music that was added but I didn't let it get in the way of enjoying the book. Really there wasn't a lot but it still seemed strange to me. What can I say about this book that I haven't said in the previous five reviews for this series? I love the characters. Rose is amazingly strong yet she makes mistakes, grows from them, and becomes a better person for it. Dimitri is back like never before. I had missed his strong presence that was just not there when he was a strigoi and/or recovering from it. But he is in full guardian mode in this book. I loved it. Adrian was his normal fun boy toy for most of the book but my heart broke for him. I knew it was coming but I hope there is something better for him in the next series. He deserves something better than he got. Christian was a little less snarky in this book, which I missed, but it wasn't needed since his role was different. He did do a fabulous job of helping the author with some misdirection. Nice job Christian. Lissa is Lissa. I love her. The story is brilliantly woven with action and passion told from Rose's point of view in her location, in Lissa's mind back at court and in a variety of dreams. I was surprised how well all the little details from so much of the series just came together to create the perfect ending for a very turbulent series. As for the murderer? I didn't see it coming. High praise from me, really; I am very good at figuring things out ahead of time. But Richelle does an amazing job of misdirection while leaving the clues like bread crumbs in the pages. What things I did guess were never done in quite the way I expected either. This book takes approximately 13 hours to listen to and that's about how much time it took me to get through this book. Once I started it, I couldn't stop. If YA is your thing, then this series is a must read. Get on it!

Great ending to an AWESOME series
It took me a while to stop smiling like an idiot at the last page of the book. One word: INCREDIBLE. The characters: You love some and you hate some but sometimes you can't help but feel a little of both towards others. Adrian is endearing because he is so dedicated to Rose even though she puts him through the gauntlet of a love triangle, but there is only one person that Rose will ever really love - and that's Dimitri. Lissa becomes an unbelievably strong character and her boyfriend Christian takes the snarkiness down many, many notches and becomes Lissa's rock, especially when Rose is up to no good. There are many other supporting characters that I cannot say enough positive things about. But if there's one thing for sure, it's the camaraderie that these young adults feel towards each other. The all-entrusting love that they offer truly rivals the crew from Harry Potter. [Yeah, I said it.] The Setting: Everywhere the characters went, there was never a lack of detail in the description of the scenes on the author's part. I could easily see the images of their surroundings play through my head like I was watching a movie in high-definition. Whether it was Russia, Alaska, Montana, or Las Vegas, the details and beautiful descriptions were not something I was at a loss for. The Plot: From start to finish--the author SERIOUSLY had an ingenious and creative way for our lovably adventurous troublemakers [insert: rebels] to get into and out of trouble. The love of Dimitri and Rose was too strong to be stopped by spirit, death, or worse, un-death. Setting out to kill the love of your life that was unwillingly turned Strigoi is no small feat, but finding a way to bring him back to you--regardless of the consequences, is truly amazing. With the support and help of many friends, Rose attempts the unthinkable...the impossible. But how is she supposed to win when Dimitri's demons and guilt for what he did while he was Strigoi threatens to destroy their relationship? The only thing she CAN do...love him unconditionally. The Ending: Wow - just..*sigh*. I could NOT have been happier about the way that Mead decided to wrap up the series. I will try not to spoil it but pretty much everyone ends up happy and the Moroi-dhampir world will never be the same - for the better. I could have not hoped for a better way to sum up all of the trials and hardships that the characters endured, but when I asked - at what cost? Well the cost was great, but the result was far greater than anyone [except the author, of course] could have imagined. I know a lot of people that read YA love the teen angst [I am among them], but to see a YA series that shows the meaning of true, unconditional, unstoppable love is something that I find to be the main reason that I enjoyed this series so much. So to any of you that are tired of the campy, angsty, shallow tales of starcrossed vampire/non-vampire lovers make sure you pick up this series so you can experience a whole new world of vampires, love, and traditions that will redefine the vampiric society we have all become too accustomed to.

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
Also reviewed on my blog, the Vintage Bookworm. Wow. . . That's all I can basically say to this incredible last installment of the international bestselling series, Vampire Academy. I have loved the series from the start. It's my number one favorite vampire series, and it may be pretty safe to say that it's my number one favorite series of all. I have never been disappointed with this series, and reading Last Sacrifice was no different. I counted down the days until it was released, but wasn't able to get a copy of it. But as soon as christmas came up and my hubby gave me a $50 dollar visa giftcard to get books, this was the first one on my list to order and when I finally got my hands on it I didn't know what to do. I wanted to read it, but at the same time I kind of wanted to save the story. When I started reading it, I had to take it slow. Which is very hard to do with a Vampire Academy novel. VERY hard. I would of finished it within a couple of hours, but I made myself stop reading after a couple of chapters. So I've made it last about a week. I know there is a spin-off series, and I'm very excited for it. Don't get me wrong. But at the same time I'm still very sad because it's the end of Rose's story. I've loved her from the start, along with all the other characters, even the evil ones. Rose is one of my favorite heroines of all my favorite books and series. She puts her best friend, Lissa, and others first. She may seem a bit selfish when it comes to some things in her life, but at the same time she is completely unselfish. In the Last Sacrifice you see a part of Rose you don't see very often; vulnerability. Which made me love her even more. Every time I thought I may know who Queen Tatiana's killer was, they found another clue to the puzzle and knocked my theory right down the drain. When they finally figured out who actually did kill her, it shocked me so much! I couldn't believe it! The killer has been one of my favorite characters since mentioned in the series. Though her reasons for murder did fit and wasn't as surprising. Overall, Last Sacrifice didn't disappoint, not that I thought it ever would. Even though I wish there were more to Rose's story and that this wasn't the last book in Rose's story, it was the perfect ending. If you haven't read this series yet, you need to get a move on and go get them. Buy them, borrow them, anything! (Well, don't steal them. . .Anything BUT that, ha ha.) Just go and grab the first book, and maybe the next couple of ones because once you read the first one you'll want the second one!

Richelle did a good job of wrapping things
Note: I am going to do a spoiler free review so much of what I have to say is very general. I put off writing this because almost everything I wanted to say was full of spoilers. That being said if you read the complaints section (which will have to be highlighted to read) it is full of spoilers. Also, if you have not read the first books in the series some of what I say is maybe spoilerish. What I Loved: Rose, Dimitri, Christian, Sydney, and Lissa's journey into becoming their own decision makers. Each were presented with challenges, decisions, and life changing things that they met head on without backing down. They each had the choice of going several different ways but each chose the right path for them. I think it was a true representation of the choices they would make after all that they had been through. Kudos to Richelle Mead for not backing down and taking the easy way out. She truly showed that when you become an adult that you have to make decisions and do things that will impact your life forever. Another thing that I really loved was the role that the adults played: older guardians, parents, teachers, and decision makers. Rose's parents are the perfect example and it isn't just because I adore Abe. I often complain in YA that it appears all the "adults" just disappear but not in this book. I won't go into detail but I think this was a good representation of all of the people in this world. Especially the last few chapters, let me just say there is a scene that made me grin because it showed that Rose was an adult but still looked at her parents like any 18/19 year old would. I was very glad to see that kind of thing in the book. My Favorite Passages: (Rose and Dimitri)'No. You have to destroy Strigoi because they're evil. Because that's what we do. If you want the nightmares to go away, you have to live. That's the only way. We could have died just now. We didn't. Maybe we'll die tomorrow. I don't know. What matters is that we're alive now.' (Christian and Lissa)'Real sleep. You need it.' He crawled in beside her, spooning against her and resting his face on her shoulder. 'Of course, afterward, if you want to conduct any official Council business . . .' 'I swear, if you say `Little Dragomirs,' you can sleep in the hall.' Pretty much anything Abe said during the whole book! Seriously one of the best characters ever. What I Liked: I really liked the roles that the supporting characters played. They were all crucial and added to the storyline quite a bit. In fact, it was because of those roles that the pieces of the puzzle finally came together in the end. Why I gave it a 4: This is one of the few "last in series" books that I have to say delivered. Richelle did a good job of wrapping things up but leaving things open for a new series to start. I don't even want to imagine how hard that must of been! The only reason this was a 4 not a 5 was because of me the reader. There is no way she could of pleased everyone with everything. This truly will go down as one of my favorite series of all time! Who I would recommend this too: If you are a fan of this series then you have by now picked up the book or will soon. I would recommend this to any PNR or YA fan. This is one of those series that even the worst book was still good! Last Sacrifice
Last Sacrifice is the sixth book in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I am starting out the review with a short summery, but I don't believe I'm giving away anything that anyone who finished Spirit Bound wouldn't have already guessed/assumed/read elsewhere online already. Last Sacrifice is the final book in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. It picks up two days after the end of Spirit Bound, with Rose locked up in the prison at the Royal Court for high treason. It's not long before she breaks out of there though, with help from a few trusted friends. On the run outside the vampire world with few people she can trust, Rose must attempt to find out who killed the Queen and bring them to justice to clear her name. But despite her own problems, she can't forget Lissa, who is fighting her own battles with the highest levels of Moroi royalty in the hope that she can help change their world for the better. I have been addicted to the Vampire Academy series from chapter one, when Rose took on Dimitri Belikov despite being two years out of practise in an attempt to protect her best friend. So much has changed from that moment and none of the characters are the same people they were then. I've been anxiously awaiting Last Sacrifice to fins out how it all ends since that final twist of Spirit Bound literally left me gaping in shock. But it is a bittersweet moment as well because I don't want to say goodbye to these characters I love. Last Sacrifice surprised me in many ways that I didn't expect. For one, it disappointed me fairly badly twice, although not enough to ruin the book. Secondly, it's not as dark a book as I was expecting. I think it actually made me laugh out loud more than any of the previous books did. Not in a bad way at all, it just seemed to have a higher humour level which broke up the tension nicely, never taking away from the series aspects on the book. All in all, Last Sacrifice is a very satisfying final book! It answers many, many questions, tying up some plot threads that have been around from book one. And of course the love triangle that has divided fans for the past couple of books is resolved, with careful handling. Although, I'm sure there are still those who will be less than thrilled at the outcome, but I think Richelle has stayed true to the characters and that's what readers should really be looking for. Like all the previous books, Last Sacrifice is full of sass, action, twists and surprises. There is plenty of continued character development all the way through as well. Rose grew up a lot more in this book in particular, and really impressed me a couple of times with her maturity. There is still plenty of heart ache to be endured in this final book as well, I was left aching for the characters over and over. While the majority of loose threads are tied up, there is still plenty of room for readers to speculate on things past this final book themselves, which I really like. I am also wondering if any of it will be continued in the spin off series which starts next year. I loved Last Sacrifice. It was a fitting end to Rose's story, true to the books that came before it, taking them forward and leaving the series on a high. I've loved almost every moment of this series and it's sad to see it over now, but it's been a fantastic journey!

the conclusion of an amazing series
LAST SACRIFICE (Vampire Academy #6) • • • ⭐:4,0/5 • • 💬: I loved the ending of the series. Loved how much the characters grew and seeing them going through so many hardships made me happy to finally see them being able to breathe at the end. Even if this last book wasn’t my favorite, it was an amazing ending for these characters that I grew attach for so many years. Dimitri and Rose will always be one of my favorite fictional couples and favorite characters, they have a sync and understanding of each other that I always look for it in other couples when I’m reading other stories. Also, Dimitri talk about forgiving himself and grasping the opportunity of having a second chance in life made me really love him even more. And even if everything went fine with Rose and Dimitri, Adrian was left alone and having to deal with so much bad things...but that doesn’t excuse his behavior when Rose and him talked for the last time in the book. I loved that the friendship between Rose and Lissa didn’t diminished throughout the story, and had the same importance as the beginning when Rose basically only had Lissa by her side. Now with many friends and love she still loves Lissa above everything else but also knows that her duty is not her only priority and that she has a life of her own. These books were part of my middle school days and I’m so glad to have amazing friends that recommended me this precious, I know it took some time to finally finish (years *cough* *cough*) but it just because I feared the ending. I actually have some bad thing about it, it felt a little rushed some scenes but I guess the action hid that well. (Also I liked the aura thing way to much) I want to read Bloodline so I can see these characters again and maybe have a glimpse of their future.
