I need this to pack into a tin. What size are the reels please? I need about 15mm dia x 25mm long.

The size of the reels is 21mm dia x 30mm long. It is only 32m, so not much for real sawing...

does it snap easily ?

It's sewing thread, you can cut it, bite it or if your fingers are strong enough break it. It works when you sew two things together. If you mean does it break as soon as you have sewn two things together, then no. If you mean does it break when you snag it on something sharp, then yes.

is it strong quality and is it thin or thick ?

Quality has been good enough for buttons. Seemed about average thickness for thread.
