great
Excellent device just wish they had an option to have the ball the opposite side of the screws.

You will loose the rubber screw covers
Most aircraft glare shields are loose, or made of soft materials that the two screws in this mount will just grind through.Get RAM's suction cup mount, much more secure!

Cheap - Does Not Fit Piper Singles or Cessna 172
This glare shield mount is much smaller than what one would expect based on the photos. It will only work with glareshields that are maybe 3/8" or less in thickness. It does not work on my Piper Cherokee (same glareshield as in most Piper singles) or a Cessna 172 that I rent sometimes. Also the screws that tighten the mount to the glareshield are plastic, which makes it prone to stripping with continued use.

Cessna citation
I mounted this in a Cessna cj2 with an ipad mini, works great very secure and doesn't block view of any instruments.

Works as described
Bought this for use with my iPhone4 and soon I'll try it out with an iPad. It works exactly as described and fits the glare shield of my 172 without any problems. Just make sure the screws are all the way out when mounting it. It's also pretty heavy and seems very durable. I would have preferred the screws that attach it to the glare shield be metal, but the plastic ones work fine.
