Sound quality + Price = An Amazing Budget Microphone!
Is it worth it? The Paladou Lvalier Microphone is one of the best budget lapel microphones you can buy! This is my first lapel microphone and I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. The current price for the product is $19.99 and I think that's a great entry price for people wanting to try out a lapel microphone. Different Applications: This microphone can be used it various different applications like gaming on the PS4, vlogs on your phone and using it on a camcorder. The application I use this the most for is on the PS4. I use this as a second microphone while streaming. Also, when I make youtube videos from my Galaxy S9 phone, having a lapel microphone makes such a huge difference in the sound quality. Instead of picking up background noise, this Paladou microphone will pick up my voice clearly. PROS: +79 inch cable extender +Affordable price +Nice case for easy storage Cons: - Microphone is sensitive (I can hear my shirt rubbing against it) Although, it's not very loud. Conclusion: I'm happy with this microphone because it will improve my videos when I shooting from my phone or even my Sony camera. With having a microphone close by, this lapel microphone will pick up my voice and improve the audio significantly. With the 3.5 mm audio cable, this microphone can fit into many popular devices and can be used in various different applications. I'm pleasantly surprised with how this has become my daily microphone on my Playstation 4 console. All my friends seem to enjoy the sound quality when I speak. If your looking for a budget lapel microphone, give the Paladou Microphone a serious consideration.

Impressive Quality for a low Price
This mic surprised me. Im used to a very staticy and noise filled audio when I use cheap or inexpensive microphones. Despite that this mic was able to be both sensitive enough to detect sounds and voices at a number of distances, while also delivering a good quality recording. Quality wise this mic sounds solid, not too much background noise, and easy to clean up in an editor. It lacks a touch of the full range of voice tones you would expect from a cheaper microphone. Meaning it doesnt have that full warm tones from the deeper parts of your voice. But at this price range its still a top quality mic despite that. Its easy to setup and use. Its literally just plug, set as default audio device on PC, and go. No hoops to jump through. On mobile you may need to download an extra app to make use of an external mic but thats free and easy to use too. Overall would completely recommend. You can hear in my video review Ive attached to this review what the sound comparison is between this mic and my studio mic. Its a solid buy. Would recommend.

Replacement microphone performed much better
NEW REVIEW: The seller sent me a replacement microphone as the one I ordered previously had a lot of issues. The replacement is much better outside and the sound quality is pretty for good the price. The quality of sound is close to the anlion modmic which is twice the price. I tested the microphone inside the office and outside in a busy manhattan street. If there is strong wind, the microphone does pick up the wind noise. Overall not bad for $20 mic and comes close to antlion modmic in sound quality at half the price. OLD REVIEW: I bought this microphone to use outside but the only thing it recorded is wind noise. My cheap lavalier microphone I bought for $5 did a better job at isolating wind noise then this. Not sure if my was defective but I would NOT recommend this based on my testing.

Great Product, Spectacular Customer Support
I knew I wanted this mic the moment I heard audio thanks to a kind reviewer. Once I got it home and made some recordings with it, I was delighted with the full, crystal clear sound it produced. It sounds a hundred times better than my phone's built-in mic, particularly at any distance from me! I had bought this for an important video conference at which I'm presenting. I wanted to be able to use it in conjunction with an earpiece of some kind, so I could benefit from its great sound quality while still hearing others on the conference. I tried with both an Android and iOS phone, but was having no luck using my headphone / mic splitter I'd received with another mic I purchased a couple years ago. I asked a question on the product page, and was immediately contacted by the seller, Paladou. Lynn was eager to assist me in figuring things out, and was in contact even after I had success! For those interested, I used the included mic adapter cable (the little short one included in the Lavalier's package), to resolve the problem. I have an iPhone 7, so my setup was a lightning to 3.5 adapter plugged into my phone's lightning port. I plugged my 3.5 headphone / microphone splitter into that. Next I plugged in a wired set of headphones, followed by the short microphone adapter cable, into which I plugged the Lavalier mic itself. Now everything works like a charm! Huge thanks to Lynn for the prompt and friendly support! This is a great little mic, and I know I'll be using it regularly for both work and personal recordings. Awesome seller support, too! What a fabulous experience. Highly recommended mic and seller!

Okay
After reading some reviews I bought these to use outside for "reporting live" and record instructional videos. Unfortunately it doesn't live up to the expectations. I tried it on my Samsung J7 Prime, a Samsung S3 Mini and a Huawei Y7 and the sound was poor, the recorded sound was so low that it seems I well need to speak up much louder for this to work. Also tried with Open Camera but the results were just as disappointing sound-wise. It should have been great for videos on my next holiday but... UPDATE 2021: I gave it another go during our holidays in 3/2021 in outdoor conditions like a secluded windy beach, a town park at night and as laptop microphone and I am reasonably satisfied. The sound is not great but is good so fa I think. When using it on the laptop you should use the 3" extender (3 tip to 4 tip) or the sound won't work well. The standard cable is good for a cellphone. The foam covers are great for muffling noise. I will test it further and see if I can bump it to 4🌟.

A review from a dude who doesn't know a whole lot about microphones
This product works well. Now, I won't say that I'm an expert on audio equipment, so take my opinion for what it's worth. The packaging was nice. It came with everything that it said it came with (two windscreen, the mic with the metal alligator clip, the extension cable, and the remote). It was all nicely placed in the little case it came with. Nice touch. The remote feels cheap, but it works. The mic itself feels quality. It doesn't have the hollow, cheap feel. The sound: I tested it with and without. There was a noticeable difference in the background noise. The microphone did a fantastic job silencing that. The sound quality of my voice afterwards wasn't the best. I feel like I've heard better, more clear videos on YouTube. This comes across with a little bit of echo. Over all, it still sounds acceptable. I've already recorded and used this for several videos. This is well worth the low price that I paid.

Short lifetime? Maybe!
Thr first few months the mic worked just fine. The sound quality was great and as expected. Everything was going well until it just started to make noise everyime I try to record anything. I tried different recordings with different devices but the mic still makes static noise. Very disspointing that it didn't even last enough time. I don't even know if this is how long is supposed to work, or whether this particular mic that I'v got is just defective.
